Everything was lovely - It was unfortunate that we had a power cut whilst we were there due to extremely bad weather! Thank you to all our lovely staff that found us plenty of lights to get us through the night. 🙏

Very charming small property in the middle of the island. Just 5 bedrooms and we had the place to ourselves, so fantastically romantic for us🥰 The staff were very kind and helpful and gave us a lovely breakfast. Extremely good value for money.

Shocking conditions of immidiate vicinity. Next to horse stable, stink and constant flies. View on the way to upstairs bedroom is to the stable shack, muf and horsemanure. Although we specidicallly asked for the new type of bikes, we got bikes in critical condition, falling apart and still paid full price. Staff arranged snorkeling trips with theit friends. Again very kind people, they even took videos for us. However they really knew nothing about the ocean or what/ where excatly we can see something. We left a day early from the island, which was extremly full of garbage.

This place has a great vibe, it’s in a good location, close enough to everything but far enough to be away from the party atmosphere when you want to chill. The staff are amazing and always there to help with any request.

It's a very beautiful oasis within the beautiful island. Very nice and clean. The staff really treated us as family. We felt amazing during that stay and would come again at any time!

Musty smell in the bathroom. Quite far from the main promenade

The location was still quite far from the lively streets and the surrounding area is not so nice. Also the pool looked not clean enough to swim in, the water looked a bit dirty

The villa is super nice with all amenities and comfort for the vacation in Gili Trawangan. The staff is very kind and they make sure that you have all the things you need. And they always smile 😊

Super cozy place. Awesome design with lots of space, cute balcony. Very comfortable beds and nice hot shower. Good towels and beach towels. Very well kept, clean and cool. Loved the decoration and the art. Swimming pool was really refreshing. Gazebo was a great breakfast spot. Staff was very helpful and made us feel at home. Loved their freshly made breakfast. Read some comments on the horses next door, but apart from a neigh every once in a while the horses were pretty docile and we did not hear them at night. It's a quiet area and the beach is not too far. There's some good restaurants nearby and laundry is around the corner.

-No hot water, told staff it was briefly fixed and then the next day back to no hot water. -Strange men coming on to the property looked like staff didn’t know them either, felt uncomfortable to go for a swim would be uncomfortable as a solo female traveller. -Somebody else’s toothbrush in bathroom when we arrived, few stains on the bedding.

-Staff were sweet. -Breakfast was nice. -Looks like there use to be a lot of love and social atmosphere here some time ago. -Gorgeous cats on the property.

The room was quite small for us as a couple. So we could not unpack a lot of our stuff.

It was lovely and not too far from the beach which is perfect and peaceful. It was really good that the staff arrange the bikes for us at the hotel with pick up and drop off.

Where to start, the property was beautiful, situated a 10-15 minute walk from the main strip of shops/restaurants. The facilities were fantastic, with the ONLY drawback of our entire stay being that the toilet did not flush properly (however this was quickly rectified). The room was lovely, the air con worked beautifully, the bed was more comfortable than my bed back home by a country mile, and the balcony was lovely to relax on after a long day! Arguably the best thing about our stay in this accommodation was the staff, unfortunately I didn’t get the lads name, but he was absolutely fantastic, very attentive, very professional but also very chatty and smiley! Also notes that he dealt with some other very rude/entitled customer incredibly well and continued to smile throughout. The breakfast (cooked by said lad) was also lovely, especially the banana pancakes. All in all, an amazing stay, could not possibly recommend it more to anyone who’s thinking of staying here and will 100% stay again if and when we come back to Gili T!

This isn’t a fault of Sugar Shack but the location is very noisy with the chickens and the horses next door, I recommend some ear plugs to any future traveller!

Team at Sugar Shack were so helpful and made me feel so comfortable as I was on my own for the first time in Gili. The room was great with a great location on the island with easy access to everything. Bed was really comfortable and bathroom was lovely, i love the design of the whole place!
