This was a lovely tucked away oasis on the island. It’s in a more quiet pocket of Gili yet so close to the main road that cuts across the island as well as near sunset point with the strip of restaurants, beach, and bars. The whole place was so so clean, the staff were super sweet and friendly, nice breakfast.

The location was quite far away from the ferry port which meant it was further away from restaurants and bars. I felt the hotel restaurant could’ve been slightly better to make up for this.

It was a good bit away from the main bar and restaurant area but we rented the bikes and it took 10/15 minutes to cycle back at night. There are bars close by but not as lively. Paths or lack of got very muddy after the rain. No fault of the owners but it is off the main track a bit.

We loved our stay here. It was very different to other accommodation on our trip. Your own private outdoor bathroom was a unique experience! The woman at reception was so helpful. She organised our trips and made sure we had everything we needed. Very comfortable stay. It rained alot when we were there so can't comment too much on the pool area. It was all very clean and well maintained.

These are purely minor grumbles, but as mentioned staff could be hard to get hold of as they were performing multiple functions. The rooms are indeed like luxury glamping tents, which means you can hear EVERYTHING around the place from animals to….ahem other guests. Ear plugs highly recommended. Also as mentioned the resort lies off the beaten track which is dimly lit. Deffo recommend if you have a little torch bring it as it’s very useful!!

From the moment you walk into the Gili Tenda you are truly looked after. The team are nothing short of fantastic and right from the off they made sure to cater for anything I might want or need. The place is tucked away in the centre of the island (nearer the west coast then east) but handily they offer a bicycle hire service, which did come in very handy. Also as I was staying 14 days they did me a nice little deal on that as well. There wasn’t much on the food menu per se, but it was plenty enough to vary up and I had lunch there most days. The prices I found to not just be reasonable but in some cases they were cheaper than buying from the local shop! But its the team that truly make the place, all of whom work incredibly hard to keep the place running smoothly. It was noticable they all performed multiple roles, working the bar, cooking the food and cleaning the rooms. Over the two weeks I think the same team was present on every single day. That would explain why it was sometimes difficult to get hold of them when you were at the bar as they simply couldn’t hear the bell! It was a tad more expensive than other spots on the island, but still amazingly affordable. If I ever come back to Gili T, I will be coming here again, without a shadow of a doubt.

Quiet and peaceful place. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable, with a private covered terrace with seating and sofa - a lovely place to relax. The accommodation is in the style of an African safari tent, comfortable beds, bathroom and toilet is located outside, a pleasant experience. Breakfasts were plentiful and tasty, good menu choices. There is a nice, large and clean swimming pool with plenty of sun loungers. Bicycle hire can be used. A few minutes bike ride to the centre to the marina. The staff are very friendly, helpful. I definitely recommend it!

The location is just 5 mins walk to the beach. The staff are all nice. Thanks to Mbak Sukma still accommodated my request of last minute laundry and even arrange my transport in Senggigi.

Was extremely peaceful, super clean; the rooms were super clean and everything we needed, good shower, great pool, good menu and staff were exceptional helping us with everything. We had washing that they sorted as well and daily bike use. Location was perfect, only a few minutes from west side of the island, less than 10minutes on bike from east.

Our stay at this amazing hotel on Gili Island was absolutely fantastic! Our villa was spotlessly clean, and the outdoor shower and toilet added a special Bali-style charm to the experience. The large swimming pool, exclusively for resort guests, was a highlight—immaculately maintained and perfect for relaxing. The property is beautifully kept, peaceful, and set away from the noise, giving it a true jungle retreat vibe. The staff were incredibly professional and helpful, and having a bike rental on-site made exploring the island easy and fun. The restaurant and bar at the resort served delicious food and drinks. The location is perfect—right near the sunset point and close to Turtle Point, with breathtaking views in the evening and plenty of great dining options nearby. Gili Island itself is magical, with bicycles, electric scooters, and horse-drawn carts adding to the unique atmosphere. Highly recommend this place for an unforgettable stay!

Arriving at gili tenda felt calm and peaceful coming from the bussyness of the harbour. The staff was very helpful and kind. I was allowed to have a late check out and everything was clean and lovely.

The rooms are large clamping tents which were great but could get a little noisy from the wind at night. Short walk across rubbled area from paved pathway so take a torch at night.

Only the mosquitoes, if possible they could install a net around the bed to avoid them while sleeping.

The staff is super friendly and helpful. The resort is 5 min walk from sunshine beach and it’s in the middle of palm trees. It’s close enough for clubbing but also perfect distance if you want peace and quiet. Room was spacious and clean, bathroom was the best part as it only has half a roof so you have clear sky view while showering. Pool was super nice too. It’s one of the best places I have stayed. Definitely gonna stay here again if I visit the islands.

Outside the property is dark; nothing to worry about but bit problematic when coming back home late ;)

The best stay during the whole trip in Indonesia! Room was nice, bed comfortable, lots of place to put your things too. I loved the open bathroom and it was the reason I chose this hotel, but everything exceeded my expectations! Swimming pool was good too! Staff in there is superb! Special thanks to Sukma who is the right person in the right place 😁 She helped me organise a snorkeling trip as well as my journey back to Bali. She is a lovely person who makes this place more welcoming than you can imagine! You can also rent bike there with a reasonable price. Close to restaurants but still quiet which I loved!

The noise from the Aircon (the part that is outside) . Because the room is in a tent there is no walls and you can hear the noise from the aircon from you and your neighbors rooms.It is a permanent sound because due to the heat everybody will keep them On. I dont know if it s something that property can do but is good to know for everyone that want to stay there.

Perfectly located near the beach ( 10 min max) on the part of the island where you can see the sunset. Amazing stuff. The beautiful floral and palms arround the pool makes you feel like you are in a movie. The shower is somehow outside and you can see the sky while you take a shower and it s so nice.

Not a bad thing, but just to note that if you don’t want to use the horse and carriages (we didn’t), then it is about a 25 min walk from the harbour.

Although the location was great due to being on the quieter side of the island, and in the perfect spot for the sunrise, the beach felt like it was around 1km away, especially in the heat.

Gili Tenda was beautiful! Sukma was so lovely and helpful with everything :) The rooms were comfortable and clean, although the aircon struggled to keep the room cool during the day when I put my son to sleep - it was especially hot while we were there tho. I loved the outdoor bathroom and the saltwater pool was a nice change from all the chlorine. Would definitely stay here again!
