Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SingaporeThe room had a damp smell during our stay and the aircon had a slight condensation issue
Location was accessible to the main Seminyak area and not located on the main street, which makes the hotel location quiet and private

United KingdomThe rooms were very disheveled which made them feel unclean. There were marks on all the surfaces and our overhead shower did not work. Also the rooms need a dehumidifier. The bedding was damp throughout our stay and eventually our luggage too.
The staff, pool and room toiletries were all perfect. as was the location if you’re staying in Seminyak. The breakfast had a lot of options too. We chose the jacuzzi room and the jacuzzi was a nice experience, especially if you need to hide from the rain for a few hours!

AustraliaThis was our third stay at De Vins Sky but we will not return for another stay. The hotel needs to either be stripped back to its bones and rebuilt or a significant renovation needs to take place. The rooms are old, worn out and the bathrooms need a complete replacement of everything. New drainage, taps and toilets are required. Showers have mould along the glass seams. When showering, the floor floods into the main bedroom area. The jacuzzi drain holes on the balcony emit a rotten egg smell when in use. Completely off putting and deter you from using this feature. Curtains in the room need to be replaced as they are dirty and rusted in some parts close to the rail. Balcony glass and railing is unstable. Foyer sofas are filthy and stained.I was really hoping that management would have taken the opportunity to update the establishment during the Covid shutdown however they clearly did not make this a priority. Overpriced .
The staff are exceptional. Cannot fault them for anything as they are attentive and provide excellent customer service. Amazing workers. Location of rooftop pool and restaurant is wonderful.

United KingdomWas a bit run-down. The bathroom smelt odd due to a build up of mould. The room was really not that clean and lots of bits of the hotel needed some maintenance (new lighting, or a fresh layer of paint or polish) and just general care. The top floor where the restaurant and pool was also rundown, the water at the buildings edge was a murky green and needed cleaning and maintenance. Honestly the rooms and top floor need an upgrade/refurbishment, there is so much potential and it seems the hotel has passed it's heyday. Refurbishment seems to be happening as we were woken up by loud banging and sanding noises every morning taking place in very close proximity (above floor if not on same floor).
The buggy service to the main street and to Seminyak Square was great. The Lobby area was well kept and clean and staff were always friendly and nice.

New ZealandThe noise from room above and you can hear everyone in the halls from doors slamming to staff cleaning with there trolleys. You have to walk 200meters before you get to the main road down a long alley. I chose the hotel for the location being next to the W and potato head but didn’t know about the long walk.

AustraliaThe hotel is looking very tired, which I wouldn’t hold against it but many things in my room did not work. Aside from the bad smell in the room, the curtains did not pull across to fully close, the detachable shower head hung limp, and the reading lamps on the side of the bed did not work. The jets in the spa also pumped out a terrible smell when turned on.
Great location.
