No kettle in rooms,we take our coffee to every hotel ,had to go out and buy one,many other guests were not happy, they had to go out to buy coffee,I suggest they get this facility in every room.

It is very nicely located right next to the beach, cool pool, clean, very nice staff! If you are looking for this kind of league it’s really a wonderful choice and a very good and decent value for your money. Glad we stayed there.

An older Bali hotel, Lovely staff and gardens with a comfortable room, and in a great location. Just a few minutes walk to the beach. Breakfast was simple but was everything we needed.

There's some obvious small maintenance issues, the worst being electrical outlets and light switches not secured to the wall. If this was addressed, then there probably isn't much to dislike.

Large comfortable bed, and a great shower - the main things to make the stay good. This property is well located with a short walk to the beach, while also being fairly quiet (on Bali standards). This is not a party location with heaps of young people letting off steam, getting drunk etc. - which was great for us. The atmosphere is that of old elegance. It is not a new fancy resort with hundreds of rooms and huge facilities - it reflects travel from an era gone by - which is also a plus for us. And exceptionally good value for money.

People being allowed to smoke at breakfast. The beds and pillows are quite firm.

Hot water took a while to come through but that's not a huge issue in such a warm climate

Traditional style Balinese hotel, short walk to the beach, lovely and quiet, fabulous breakfast with different options each morning. Would totally stay here again.

A kettle in the room for making your own coffee would be nice, and maybe a chair or two inside and an extra table or shelf in the room and bathroom

Friendly helpful people always available. Every day bottled water and rooms cleaned. Two swimming pools with enough poolside loungers and outdoor seating.Good breakfast with more than enough to choose from. The gardens are well kept and beautiful.

In the standard rooms the water took a long time to drain away down the sink. The deluxe room was a bit more spacious but the beds were rock hard. The staff were good enough to put a quilt under the bottom sheet but it made no difference, I'm now in agony in my lower back from the bed which is a shame cos we would happily go back to Grand Kumala but the beds put me off

A relaxed hotel in a very good location. The staff were lovely & fellow guests who were regulars were friendly It's located about a 5 minute walk to the beach & very handy to good restaurants & shopping. The place was older but priced as such We stayed in 2 types of rooms. First stay was a standard room, which was good. We enjoyed having our own outdoor deck getting morning sunlight. Second stay a deluxe room, as I had changed to a deluxe room closer to arrival time we could only get a twin bed room up 3 flights of stairs. The back pool has good steps for easy entry The breakfast was adequate.

That the rooms out the front near the pool the doors need to be secured better not just have a wood piece that slides across to lock the door and the bathrooms need a bit of and update as it smelt of sewerage if locked up all day

Great location.

We stayed for a quick 2 night stop over after returning from another area before flying out so didn't need anything fancy just a room for a few nights and it was good for the price. Would stay again.
