Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe outdoor bathroom can be a little tricky when it’s raining, but manageable!
The pool is a haven! The staff are so welcoming, provide a great breakfast, and there’s some friendly cats too. The rooms are spotless, cool AC, and have a big water jug which was a great touch.

Great location. Not far from the harbour at all maybe ten minutes by foot and 4 by the horse taxis. Breakfast was good as well with a few different options.

BruneiNot a reflection on the property or the owners as is out of their control but the call to prayer at 4.45am every morning is unbearably loud. We live in a Muslim country & are used to hearing it but we didn’t realise just how close the property was located to the mosque. Whilst ear plugs are provided they don’t unfortunately do anything & the early start each morning did take its toll over the 4 nights, especially on the children. If you’re a light sleeper then this isn’t the place for you unfortunately. I would definitely recommend the other side of the island if you’re looking to totally relax where the resort style hotels are as bike hire is reasonable & you can get round the whole island in an hour We stayed in the 2 bed villa & whilst having the space & being away from everyone else not having to worry about the children making noise was great, the layout wasn’t (for us). Having to keep moving between the separate rooms closing the doors between to keep the rooms cool, stop the children escaping & mozzies out just to access the fridge in the kitchen for example became a little annoying, a more open plan space would have worked better for us (a lesson learned for me to check in advance of booking). The ‘villa’ is 3 separate rooms not one large space so that might be something to consider for future family travellers. We actually all slept in the one room as we weren’t happy with having the children so far away from us locked in the next room so could have saved money & booked a 1 bed instead. The kitchen isn’t equipped for self catering either - there are only seating areas, perhaps this is something coming in the future but for our stay we had to rely on eating out or takeaways but being able to cook a meal would have been helpful. Again I should have checked before booking, this didn’t take away from the positives of our stay but just want to be honest as I know I rely heavily on reviews
Located away from the hustle & bustle of the main strip of bars & restaurants, it’s only a 10 min walk from the boat. The staff were really friendly & welcoming & wanted to do whatever they could to make our stay enjoyable whether that be interacting with our children, arranging bicycle hire or ensuring our room was clean each day. Breakfast was cooked fresh to order each morning & was filling, they even bought it to us at our villa. The pool was lovely, the beds super comfy & the gardens well maintained, it looks just like the photos

United KingdomObviously there are a lot of mosquitos but the staff do everything they can to reduce this. They spray the grounds once a week and spray your room everyday. Such a lovely thing in the evenings when they turn down your bed for you and secure the mosquito net. You can also use the mosquito repelling coils which only cost about 30p for a pack of 10 from the supermarket. They burn for a long time (6-8 hours) and really help to keep the mosquitos away. We had some issues with the hot water throughout our stay. It was either boiling hot or freezing cold. Not too much of a problem as seems to be a common issue in Indonesia. Everything else was perfect, thank you.
Such a beautiful place to stay. The staff were really friendly and were always around if we had any questions. The villa was comfortable and clean. Pool was lovely and lots of options for breakfast. Good location close to the beach and shops but no street noise at night. Just a shame we only stayed for 2 nights.

CroatiaNothing! The chickens and mosque will wake you up, but you will experience this at any hotel you stay at! Hotel was kind enough to provide ear plugs.
I can’t speak highly enough about this hotel. Beautiful room and pool. Close enough to walk to the main part of the island but far enough away from the music at night. The loveliest staff member, Gitt, made our entire experience that much better. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you Gitt for everything you did for us.

AustraliaThe hotel was beautiful, the staff were lovely. Jit and his friends took care of us after re-cleaning the whole hotel only a couple months before (it was run down from disuse coz of the pandemic) and were so sweet, would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful, low key but central place to stay on Gili T. They offer bike hire and snorkling tours and also hooked us up with massages, as well as an amazing complimentary breakfast! They cats around the place will leave you alone if you don’t interact but we loved having them follow us around and chill by the pool or at breakfast. Thanks again to the staff, we’ll definitely be staying here again on our next visit!

NetherlandsThe hotel is a bit off the main strip, maybe a 10 min walk. The road towards the hotel is not the best, so you might have a little bit trouble rolling your luggage.
The staff were very helpful in booking things like bicycles and snorkel trips. The rooms were very nice, as well as the pool area. The breakfast was filling. Nice experience.

United KingdomWe loved our stay at Guava Garden! The staff were so lovely and attentive, providing the best breakfast in the mornings and helping us out with bikes and water for our room. The place itself was beautiful, we loved the outside bathroom and pool and felt very relaxed the entire stay. The location was very central and not far from the port. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Gili as it has everything you’d need and more!
