ItalyStaff: excellent communication professional and pro-active. Very helpful in anything you might need, taxi to-from etc etc. Hotel: good room, bathroom may need a bit of maintenence. Location: near anything you may need. Swimming pool: functional and well maintained. Pool service at reasonable prices. Fridge in room: available NOTE: we were there during Nyapi and even so service was still available and reception was available 24h.

I absolutely loved my stay at Guru Hotel. The room was spotless, and the location couldn’t have been better—right in the heart of the action, with loads of great restaurants and local spots just steps away. As a solo female traveller, I really appreciated that the hotel only has six rooms. It felt safe, intimate, and personal without ever feeling isolated. I stayed in the ground floor room with direct access to the pool, which was both peaceful and incredibly convenient. Even though it was quiet, I never felt alone—the concierge was always just around the corner if I needed anything. It struck the perfect balance between privacy and a sense of being looked after. Highly recommend this gem of a place—I’ll definitely be back!

Our stay at Guru was fantastic, thanks to the attentive and helpful staff who went above and beyond, assisting with an early check-in when I was unwell and even bringing complimentary coconut water for hydration. The room was spacious, and the hotel’s location is perfect for those seeking a quieter side of Canggu. We highly recommend it and would definitely stay again.

United KingdomYou could sometimes hear the nightclub in the evenings, but it wasn’t really that bad! And location wise, it can be a bit longer to get to places like La Brisa if you don’t like getting on a moped - the traffic for cars takes a bit longer, but it didn’t affect my stay, just was way quicker the one time I took a moped!
Everything! The whole place was really nicely done; there was some building work going on so I didn’t see everything but that was all kept out of the way and didn’t disturb! Pande, Tuwi, Nining and Arya were all so helpful, letting me know about any issues and when things would be resolved, ready and available for any questions I had and just happy cheerful people! The pool was lovely and a great way to relax! It was a lovely location :)

The staff members are very friendly and nice. They always extended the warmest greetings whenever I was in and out the hotel and offered good advice to nearby restaurants. I also had both welcome and farewell drinks from the lovely receptionist, which was a surprise! The room was quiet in the evening, and at night, I could not hear any sound from the nightclubs, as previous ratings said. I did have a nice stay!

ItalyThe photos we saw to book reflected the inside of the room and the outside area perfectly, it was exactly as we expected. Room was super clean and cool with the air conditioner, a beautiful space to relax. The location is off the main road, so it was a peaceful place to come back and rest, but close to restaurants and shops. An 8 minute scooter ride to the beach. The staff were amazing. Very kind, happy to talk, and super accommodating for our late check in, took our luggage up and down the stairs and gave us tips for all kinds of activities and restaurants. We tried one of the restaurants (L’Osteria) and had a great night.
