Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

The location was great. A quiet hotel but still central to everything and only a short walk to the main road, staff were so friendly! Would stay again

United KingdomNothing.
Lovely oasis just minutes away from Ubud Main Street. The hotel is not accessible by car but very close to the main road. The room was very spacious, the staff friendly and helpful. The gardens are lovely and they have a beautiful bamboo shala where you can practice yoga. We didn’t use the pool but looked lovely. Ample choices for breakfast, which was very nice every day.

United KingdomWater pressure in the shower was weak, hard to regulate temperature. Staff English was a bit tricky at times but no big deal.
Don't be put off by the reviews commenting on steep access, it's only like that for a short initial bit, then it's pretty much flat. Won't be a problem unless you have mobility issues. Pool is awesome, staff was super helpful and nice.

AustraliaDue to the location of the hotel, It’s not car accessible, not even that scooter friendly. So you’d hope it’s not raining to walk the short path out to the main road to get WiFi from somewhere to then book transport. The rooms are somewhat soundproof but you can hear the upper levels when they drag the heavy chairs on the floor and also go in the bath. Some showers are in the bathtubs and the tubs aren’t level… this then causes them to bang slightly when you move around.
Hotel is set in a secluded area down a long path. It’s surrounded by nature and a flowing stream with a picture perfect pool and beautiful rooms

AustraliaMore just suggestions for the villa * having some hooks to hang things on near the pool and in the bathrooms would be handy * having a drying rack that can be used to hang wet swimmers from would be great * a small shelf in the wall near the shower would be handy for wash/soap * the upstairs bathroom had a funny smell likely from not being used often- it may just need more regular flushing of the drains to clear blocks and the smell.
The staff and facilities were great. We felt very safe. The ginger tea on arrival was lovely and the breakfast included was delicious.

AustraliaNothing at all. Everything is perfectly perfect.
We liked everything about this stay. It was the best out of the three properties we stayed in Bali. The staff is amazing and very helpful. Nice view of the rice fields and beautiful spacious room. Very comfortable bed and room service was absolutely fantastic. Beautiful, clean swimming pool was another plus point. We definitely recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a place to stay in Ubud. I wish we had more days in Gynandha ☺️

PolandI don't like the bathroom concept - there is no standard shower cabin, to take a shower you need to get in to the bathtoob which wasn't very convenient. By the way, bathtoob shaked a little when I was in. For this money I expected better bathroom standard. Also, a day before check out I asked whether it's possible to take a shower (after check-out) and the answer was: yes of course. The next day when I wanted to take a shower I heard: "definitely not possible" even without checking that with the staff from previous shift. Not very polite for that hotel standard.
Beutiful hotel surrounded by rice fields, perfect location, just 3-4 minutes by walk to the main road, spacious room equipped with all you need, helpful staff, they transport baggage to the main road as it's not possible to get to the hotel by car due to very narrow road, nice swimming pool

AustraliaThe resort may not suit everyone as it’s a little hard to find & the entry into it a little difficult as it’s up a road which rises up to a narrow pathway beside a stream . & quite a walk to get too . For us that was a lovely adventure to a beautiful resort.
Such a beautiful resort . Staff were so attentive & helpful. Our breakfast over looking the beautiful pool was lovey.

AustraliaThe location was amazing, very close to all the markets and restaurants,, however is about a 5 minute walk down a small path to get to the hotel. But the staff are more then happy to come and pickup your luggage for you and take it to your room which was amazing. Pools are lovely and the view from to top floor units is stunning. Looking over the rice fields. All the staff are very well manoured and keep the place very tidy. Will definitely be back!

IndonesiaI would add furniture to the rooms and the terrace. Breakfast is not tasty. Towels and bed linen are all yellow and not fresh. Workers in dirty clothes near the pool are constantly walking around.
I am glad that the bathroom has all the necessary hygiene products. Comfortable mattress. The rooms are clean.

United Kingdom- Breakfast options are a bit limited, especially the drinks where you get whatever the fruit juice of the day is and for hot drink, black coffee or tea. Would be nice to have a list of beverages and different types of coffee/tea to pick from. - The rooms have curtains for the night but during the day there aren't any sheer curtains which is a bit of a privacy issue. - Air conditioning unit was a bit weak. - The rainfall shower had weak water pressure, although the handheld shower was fine.
- Hotel is in a very good location, walking distance from cental Ubud and even though it doesn't have direct car access, the staff are happy to carry your suitcases via motorcycle. - We arranged a lovely massage at the hotel - The view from our room was wonderful, both the rice terraces and swimming pools. - SmartTV means Netflix access - Room nicely decorated

United KingdomNothing - it was all wonderful.
Ubud is busy and chaotic and so just 5 minutes away from the Main Street- this hotel was a piece of heaven . It was calm and tranquil with the most amazing staff who made you feel as if you are the only and most important people there. If you arrive late it can feel a little weird walking to it along an alley but once you see Ubud in the daylight it is perfectly normal and the staff will pick up your cases for you by motorbike. If you are looking for a party Hotel then don’t come here , but if you are looking for a small friendly and very beautiful Hotel then this is one for you. Ubud is very hot and so the pool was lovely. Prices are the same as everywhere else- very good for a Hotel but again - it was the fabulous staff who really made it. We would definitely recommend it.

United KingdomWhat a hotel! The views across the rice fields from our third floor room left me speechless. The room was huge, incredibly comfortable and with the biggest bathroom! Staff are so kind and friendly. Breakfast was tasty everyday and the pool areas are beautiful. The accommodation is a few minutes walk off the main road of Ubud, and makes you feel like you are in a quiet paradise, yet you can access everything on foot. Staff are great at offering rides down/up the hill on their bikes but it really is just a few minutes walk. We were sad to leave and would genuinely return! A paradise in a busy town.

The peaceful location but close to the village. Serenity reigned. A spacious, very tastefully decorated room with a balcony and view of the magical pool. A lovely dining area overlooking the very beautiful main and spa pool. Luxuriant vegetation. The guardian Hindu statue a magical feature.

AustraliaA mosquito net could’ve been good. The location was amazing but it is off road so they meet you on the main road to take your suitcases up on a scooter - not a dealbreaker for us, just something to be aware of
Super peaceful and pretty with the multilevel pool set amongst the backdrop of a rice terrace
