Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

MalaysiaThere are lack of details facilities. For example, all rooms were not equipped with umbrella for guests to move about when it rains. 60-70% of rooms greatly depends on internal shuttle bus and we experienced long waiting time.
The hotel has nice view. Walking distant to Barelang Bridge and nearby nice seafood restaurant.

SingaporeFacilities were all quite a distance from the room. Limited buggy service, cleanliness could be better but not too bad. Should include insect repellent in each room as flies or sandflies would fly in when we enter or exit rooms
Size of the room, friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful resort, many activities for family.

SingaporeOur washroom was not clean , and too stinky. I have the picture , but don’t want to post as it tacky to share such pictures. Though it was later cleaned by housekeeping . Also, the service is very slow , it took them 1.5 hours to come to clean the washroom.
The location is good, property is connected to the beach so you can just chill at the beach. There are 3-4 pools at the property. The spa is good. The in room dining experience was also good.

Singaporeone suggestion, maybe can put the music bit lower during breakfast time, as sounds bit too louder...
The staff are nice and friendly, thanks for Ryan who got back to my question patiently and promptly in our what's app conversation and assisted to arrange for an earlier check-in; and thanks for the reception lady who is friendly and professionally; and especially thanks to Patra (a warm and smiley young gentleman) who arranged a small birthday celebration with nice cake for my son during our breakfast, much apricated! Overall the one night stay in Harris is as we have expected, the Seaview room is spacious and clean, bedding comfortable, good for a short stay of one or two nights, the seafood restaurant is only walking distance and quite worth the money! The resort is greenly, nice planting, beach, just not much activities to do at this point of time.

GermanyOld towels: not dirty, but gray and ugly. Questionable style: orange stripes on gray background. The kind of design you would find in an Ibis Budget but not a Marriott hotel. Hard and sharp-grained gravel on the beach - no soft sand. Some mold in the shower. Some rooms with a 'sea view' have more view of the parking lot than of the sea. We were initially offered one such room and got a better one when we asked for it. I think it's important to say these things just to set the expectations right. We had a very good time there, and it's not overly expensive, but it's not a hidden gem of unexpected beauty or a 4-star hotel by international standards.
Great breakfast! Some other reviews reported that there was a small selection of mediocre food and a lonely vibe - this was not our experience. For us, there was a wonderful and lively atmosphere and a big variety of delicious food. Nice pool area: Same place where one has breakfast. Great seafood restaurant nearby (Barelang Seafood). It's in walking distance, but the hotel also takes you there in a golf cart if you want. We went there every night and paid 30-40 Euros for as much seafood as we could eat (2 adults, one toddler). Very helpful staff, lots of staff. Nice and friendly, great service. The hotel even has its own taxi service.

Singaporein september, the breakfast spread was on top of the list between the staycations I had in MY, SG and Batam. however, after our visit last week, it was really disappointing. very disappointing. the breakfast area look very deserted and the choice of food were just upsetting. we had spoken to the staffs and feedback, and were told that this is due to the upgrading/ maintenance works. which I’m not sure when it will end.
Harris Barelang is our go to place whenever we are at Batam. we had out stay in September and everything was so great. the staffs are down to earth and always smiling. you will feel very very welcome.

SingaporeThe check in time is 15:00. We waited with two young kids about 45 minutes till the room was ready which was still lacking two bath towels. We got into the room about 16:00. Too many mosquitoes and flies wherever there’re bushes. You needed to get ready to feed the mosquitoes first before you enjoyed the pool. We asked for an extra blanket since our kids kept kicking off the only blanket in the room. The hotel policy was that you needed to pay for the extra bed to get another blanket. This was the first time I heard about this policy in all the hotels I stayed.
The seafood restaurant was absolutely the highlight of this trip. Our kids loved the pool a lot. They spent most of the day there.

SingaporeSome facilities are poorly maintained: gym toilet door cannot lock, lockers at gym have no keys, my room had no phone and was given one after I informed the receptionist, breakfast staff did not inform me I had to take my cutlery from between serving trays, had to ask for cutlery 2 out of 3 days; interns at the breakfast lacked basic understanding of Engliah to meet basic needs of guests like providing guests without cutlery. I showed him a google picture of knife, fork and spoon. I gave feedback to the manager and he was apologetic and acted on some of the feedback. The card machine at the spa was not working. The service at the Rock Salt cafe was best. Generally the level of spoken English amongst the staff (other than receptionist, Spa and Rock Salt) is low. Hence, they may not know what the guest who cannot speak Bahasa Indonesia requests for. The receptionist at the spa was most fluent and attentive to the needs of guests. I forgot to bring my breakfast coupon the second day, asked receptionist for to check that I paid for it and it was confirmed. The receptionist called the breakfast staff to let me in. I went but was asked for breakfast coupon. I asked the receptionist to go down to verify before I was allowed. I was asked to give the coupon the next day. Manager explained that they were still fine tuning the coupon process as there had been non- hotel people who came in to swim and slip into a the breakfast area. That is a security issue which had to be managed at a systems level. Being fixated about a piece of coupon when it is verified that I have paid for all three days is unusual. Have to lower expectations and go with the flow. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed the beach scene, the infinity pool and lovely environment.
Beautiful environment and nice room. The manager was receptive to my feedback and receptionist apologized for poor experience. The staff are generally friendly and will respond when you greet them.
