Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesYes, it takes a little more effort to get here ( not really that bad) but the tranquility of being in the middle of rice fields in a very nice villa is well worth it.
What a wonderful spot to get away from the Ubud crazy crowds and traffic.

AustraliaTo be honest, I was disappointed when I arrived because the property doesn't match the photos very well. The feature shots are brighter, professionally-styled, and in full colour saturation, when in reality the accommodation is quite dark and damp and I get the feeling it's been a while since it was renovated. The shower floor is comprised of loose pebbles covered with green slime, and has dirty water underneath - I appreciate how natural it is, but would have enjoyed better cleaning to feel that I wasn't treading in other people's dirt. I became accustomed to and comfortable with the room after I was settled in, but to get a better review I would recommend that the villa undertakes some cleaning and maintenance to bring it up to the standard of other similarly-priced accommodation in the area. I would also recommend that a TV is added to the suite rooms and that the fridge is stocked with more bottles of drinking water.
A very comfortable and relaxing stay in a villa with gorgeous views of the rice paddies, coconut trees and ducks. The panoramic window in the suite is great and the bed is very plush and comfortable. I loved the semi-outdoor bathroom and appreciated the shampoo and conditioner provided (so many hotels seem to forget conditioner - I've got curly hair and need it!) The breakfast was also delicious and it was lovely to be able to enjoy it on the terrace, with sweeping views of the fields.

EstoniaThe place is old and needs renovation, it wasn’t as clean as it’s rated. Didn’t feel comfortable there at all.

RomaniaThere is nothing to be said. Everything was just how any trip to Bali should be.
Intan Villa is amazing! The staff, the location, the facilities and everything included within this experience was absolutely perfect! There is nothing that I could have wanted more during my stay here. The people and the whole staff made me feel welcomed, part of their group, always being attentive, kind and caring. I felt like being in a home away from home. I would DEFINITELY come back here. They offer their full-time support and assistance towards your whole trip experience and not just your accommodation. If you come here, stay more than a couple of nights. Take your time to enjoy it!

BrazilEverything perfect. The place we were looking for with the BALI way Tudo perfeito. O local que buscavamos com o jeito de BALI
If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of Ubud and find peace, you've found the right place. It was everything we were looking for with the BALI way. The hotel is in the middle of a rice field. It has a beautiful infinity pool in the middle of the rice field. Huge room with a very good bathroom. When I return to Bali, which I certainly will, I will stay at Intam again. You need to rent a scooter to get around. Peace is in this place Very attentive staff. If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of Ubud and find peace, you've found the right place. AustraliaThe only downside is the distance to the city centre. On the other hand, the accommodation does provide a scheduled free transport a few times per day.
The rooms are great. It is really nice to wake up and have breakfast with a view to the rice fields. We also enjoyed the large bathroom with the great decoration. The breakfast was really good, notably the pineapple pancakes.

IndiaNothing-everything was perfect. One note for travelers: Going in, just remember it’s isolated (which is part of its charm). There is no taxi leading directly to doorstep but the staff help get to the road on scooters. Still please plan accordingly.
Absolutely brilliant experience. To run a hotel of this high quality literally in the middle of paddy fields is commendable. I booked the suite and it was beautiful, very well-maintained. Best part was the staff. They were so cordial, responsive, and had everything figured out well to support guests. It’s a bit away from roads accessible by car but the staff will help get you there on scooters.

BahamasThere is nothing I don't like. Showering can be a little bit messy as there is no enclosed shower. But who cares. Open the doors to the private bathroom garden and everything dries quickly.
This place was my favorite of everywhere I stayed in Bali. It seems that every hotel in Bali has truly outstanding staff. Intan has over the top friendly and helpful staff. It seems clear that the owner infuses a wonderful working environment where the staff can flourish and be happy. We can feel their delightful energy. There are no cars. It is located in the middle of the rice fields with the sounds of crickets, frogs, and birds. The staff pick you up on scooters from the quiet main road and the trip to your doorstep is about 1 1/2 minutes. Breakfast is served on your balcony every morning as you overlook the rice fields and serene landscaping. Several nearby restaurants are within a five minute walk. All offer pristine views of rice fields and seem to be staffed with the same wonderful people that you find at the villas. There are three trips to town twice a day but if you miss them, one of the staff always seems ready to whisk you into town on a scooter for a very reasonable price. Less than $5. There is of course a pool with infinity edges overlooking the rice fields .

CyprusNice breakfast with choice of options. Very friendly staff, quiet location, just a short scooter or taxi ride into Ubud We were located in the couple of houses slightly north or reception with a shared pool - about 11m long. We were a family of four - most of the other guests appeared to be younger couples Great place to use to relax for couple of days before heading to the southern coast. Couple of restaurants within 10-15min walk from the accommodation.
