It may have been the season, but there were millipedes all over our private room, in our shower, in the bathroom, and even in the bed. We couldn't get rid of them (although, this isn't the hostel's fault)! Also, as the toilet runs on a septic system, it was really smelly.

We loved our stay at Jati Village. We loved how the hostel is so good at fostering a community atmosphere by offering group dinner every night, hosting drinking games, and facilitating a bar crawl among fellow travellers. The team at Jati Village is so welcoming, accommodating, funny, and hard-working. The hostel also offers bicycles for rent, clothes washing, and a breakfast and lunch menu. We highly recommend staying at Jati Village for a fun, lively, community and party atmosphere (keep in mind that the hostel is definitely a party hostel and the music is loud in the evenings)!

Only local alcohol at bar , my stomach could handle it, No hot water , was hard to shower on cold rainy days WiFi was bit patchy sometimes

The bed was a little bit uncomfortable. They only accept cash (you pay everything at the end of your stay).

Very friendly staff. It’s a party hostel but during low season was not very busy but I made friends anyway. They play music in the afternoon, organise dinners and activities. The bar and the swimming pool are very convenient. You can rent a bike directly there.

Really social and a great way to meet people, I had a bungalow room and it was great for me as I could be social when I wanted but also have my own privacy. Staff were really nice, especially Amber and Agnes who were the volunteer hosts.

It seemed more cozy in pictures. To sum up the feeling: the private room did not feel cozy. Yet the place is hostel and it was our choice.

Every evening they offer drinking games. Would be nice to have more variety in the programm and do a quizznight/ Bingo or things like that instead of drinking games every night.

The Hostel has a nice area to chill or socialize with other travelers. The doorms were quite spacious amd comfy. The people volunteering there contributed a lot to create a nice vibe.

I really like how the gostel was built and the bar. The local staff was so friendly, always here to help you out if you need anything. The volunteers from all around the world were also the best, always in the best mood to bring good vibes into the hostel and drinking games at night. A special mention to my dear Svea, the most dedicated person to gather people around and animate the hostel to me.

The water in the hostel was salty, I believe because there is limited fresh water on the island.

The music was quite loud from 9am - we expected it in the day/night as we knew it was a party hostel, but we didn't expect the music to play loudly until later in the morning / afternoon

Only a 10 minute walk from where the ferry's drop you off so it's easy to walk there! Dorms had good size lockers to put your stuff into and the pool area was nice

There was an unfortunate miscommunication at the end of the night, and instead of an apology, I only got excuses. To me that's very disappointing. The staircases to the upper bunk beds have REALLY big steps though. Not a big issue for me, but I can imagine for others it might be.

I had 1 good night here. The efforts to create a good party atmosphere are greatly appreciated! So good place for preparty!

Super cool vibe, very social. Even if your not a party person, the drinkers tend to leave for the pubs crawls and leaves the place quiet for any early birds

The owners of this property really forced the “party” element of the hostel. I understand trying to create a fun atmosphere (which is something we were looking forward to as we wanted to meet people and make friends) but at one stage, the owners sent in really passive aggressive messages to the hostel group chat telling people they were “boring” for not joining in with the hostel drinking games and then deleted the messages. Very strange behaviour !

We stayed in the bungalow. It was very comfortable and spacious and was kept really clean too, our bed linen was changed everyday and the room was thoroughly cleaned. The staff were also really helpful in organising activities such as snorkelling, bike rental and laundry etc. Overall was really good value for money and a really good location with it being a short walk to the boat and bars/restaurants.

Wifi did not work at all for 48hours when we were there, and when it did work it was really bad which seems to be the case on the island

The evening food was really nice and at a really good price. However the daytime menu was quite misleading versus the images online. There's pictures of a pizza oven etc. but this isn't in the kitchen and no pizzas are available, most days there was poor availability on the very limited day menu which was disappointing as was looking forward to the pizza!

All of the staff were super friendly and attentive and we having fun in the evening for a communal meal and social/drinking. This is a party hostel and can be loud, but that is what you sign up for which we were happy with, but that might not be for everyone. The rooms, bathroom and communal area were kept very clean and tidy and also everyone was super welcoming - ideal for solo travellers looking to make friends as the drinking games and the meal are a great way to mingle.
