Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaI found the bed quite hard. My friend in room 3 struggled a lot with loud noise from the bar next door when they have music a couple of nights a week.
The location is great, rooms are nice. Clean and well maintained. Nice staff. Good simple breakfast. Great price.

AustraliaThe location on the beach in Jemeluk Bay is perfect. Handy to snorkelling, diving, places to eat. The bed was sooo comfortable. Managers were very helpful. Breakfast was fabulous. Amed is set between a steep hill and the beach with one road so we could hear traffic but didn’t keep us awake. Check out the live music next door on Thursday and Saturday. We enjoyed it.

United KingdomOn two nights a week the pub next door has loud music until late. There was a lot of noise on these days but we had ear plugs so it was manageable. Room needed some glasses and a bottle opener.
Really nice room just back from the beach. Good breakfast. Clean. Nice sun loungers on the terrace. Good location for snorkelling but watch the current. Good bars nearby.

AustraliaBecause it was close to some bars, there was very loud live music on 2 of the nights I was there, which played until around 11.30pm. Nothing crazy, I just wasn't there to party or drink or anything. Also, the mosquitos were pretty bad, but just keep your doors closed will fix that!
Beautiful location, right on the beach & super close to my dive sites, which was the main reason I was there. Beautiful Balinese breakfast every morning & the host is super nice :)

AustraliaOr villa was Right next door to live music until 11pm, which is ok if you participate and we did 1 night. Villa 2 would be better than villa 3. Also should provide some hand soap.
Great location, straight into the beach for snorkeling. Good firm bed. Lovely helpful hosts. Nice yes to provide privacy.

AustraliaWe were very happy over all, so these aren't really complaints just information to help with booking mostly. Our door was very hard to slide open, some maintenance is required. Things are a bit weathered in the bathrooms but you get that so close to the ocean. There are mosquitoes around at night. Sunday night there was VERY loud music coming from Sunset Point. Lucky the band are great musicians, some fantastic guitar solos and the singer was very good, so I enjoyed it. This lasted until about 9pm, and would be heard over in any hotel at this beach. The traffic was also very loud quite late into the night. A very happening vibe all round. The kids had trouble falling asleep though. This particular property is also directly next to a Warung that has loud live music twice a week. I was told this finishes later than the gigs at sunset point and they couldn't tell me what days this happens, it must vary. Just something to be aware of if you are a light sleeper and want to go to bed early every night. I don't think earplugs would be enough, you can feel the vibration in the bed even from Sunset Point music. We really loved our stay but this would be a deal breaker for some.
Amazing location, so close to snorkeling. Simply stunning, lots of tropical fish, they have come back in huge numbers since the break from tourists during Covid. It's just a short walk up the hill to the warungs with views of the volcano. There are also so many options to eat very close and a convenience store just a few metres away. Staff are super lovely and very accommodating, they made us feel very at home and part of a big family. They arranged snorkeling gear, transfer, medicine when out son got sick, anything we needed. They made our stay exceptional and we hope to come back in the future!

AustraliaLittle bit of noise from bikes and cars from the main road on the backside of the property. Take ear plugs if sensitive to noise while sleeping.
We loved the location right on the Jemeluk bay beach front, 50m from the edge of the ocean. Breakfast on the balcony is amazing, the beds are super comfortable and the room is spacious.

NetherlandsA bit noisy since it's very close to the main road. The air conditioning could use some cleaning. Bathroom has seen better days (the toilet sit and toilet paper dispenser could be replaced). The shower did not have much pressure but there was hot water.
Great location. There are two nice spots to snorkel just in front of the bungalow. Close to the sunset point (7 min walking) which is a nice place to finish the day. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, arranging our transport to Gili.

United StatesYou get what you pay for and in its central location. If you want peace and quiet and isolation, go elsewhere. If you want to be on the beach in the centre of Amed in easy walking distance of the restaurants and bars, this is it.

BruneiI put those details in pros, as this website doesn't automatically display cons for the reviews..
If you are sensitive to noise I don't recommend this. You'll experience 1. Motorbike traffic 10 mtr from bungalow 2. Constant boat traffic/ diesel fumes taking out divers & snorkellers, compressors filling tanks 3. Live music blasting from sunset point, then live band in neighbouring warung twice weekly, literally shaking the walls. 4. Firecrackers exploding late..after 11.30. I put this info out so others can be aware of extremely noisy environment here. The manager is alright, but extreme noise levels really fray the nerves.

Latviathere are a lot of cafes around, which in general did not disturb, but many local people stayed there every day, which is also not a bad thing, but, unfortunately, they were very loud and did not respect the desire of others to enjoy peace and quiet
It’s very close to beach. It’s clean and very comfortable place.
