Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FranceCan’t complain so far, just be careful when it’s raining, the hostel’s tiles can be very slippery
As some other comments mentioned, yes the road is narrow and may be dangerous provided that you are a beginner. If you have experience with motorbike, there will be no problem, even with 2 people and large bag on one bike. Overall the stay was good, clean, nice workers, nice view and mostly… calm, very calm, the hostel is at the end of the road.

AustraliaJust one thing, some fruit for breakfast would be nice.
The lift on the back of the bike from the main street on arrival was fun! The villa is beautifully located in the middle of the ricefields , quiet, peaceful, blissful away from noisy, busy Ubud centre. Yet only 20 minute pleasant walk to the hubbub. Nice eating places in the ricefields. Cooked breakfast was generous. Room immaculate, staff very helpful, very friendly & responsive.

United KingdomWe loved it so much we extended our stay for a full week. Incredible value for money. Amazing location really set back from the busyness of Ubud in beautiful rice fields. The room was huge with a fantastic balcony and a fridge and kettle. The breakfast was also great and the staff very friendly. Just be prepared that no cars can access this hotel so you'll either need to organise pick up with the hotel or rent a scooter from Shanti Scooter rentals at the bottom of the hill (they were excellent)

United KingdomNo hangers or a hair dryer.
Stunning location set in the rice paddy, but still a short bike ride into the heart of Ubud. The balcony view was of lush plants, very private.

UkraineKeep in mind that it's in the middle of nowhere, so you'd better have a bike to get around. However, the road to the hotel is very narrow and completely dark at night. The breakfast quality was a bit low for me.
A great, quiet place surrounded by rice fields-really beautiful and peaceful. The staff was nice and offered bike rentals and laundry service.

AustraliaNot a particular dislike but there’s a track to ubud central though they offer ride services that is free of charge when u stay in the location. Was actually a nice touch to our stay as it was nice riding through the markets and seeing more of the beautiful scenery that surrounds us but is definitely something to consider.
Beautiful scenery and lovely spot to soak in the sun by the pool. They have breakfast services and a cosy place to stay. The staff were particularly friendly and would go the extra mile for you

New ZealandIt is a bit tough to access - scooter only. Can’t access by car. But the staff will pick you up on scooter at any time - really helpful.

ItalyThe room was very humid. You could feel it and smell it. This unfortunately reduced the comfort of our stay.
I stayed in the hotel for 4 nights together with a friend. We enjoyed a lot the location of the hotel, in the middle of the rice fields, outside of the chaos of the city, anyway still reachable with 20min walk! The staff was very nice and helpful.

United KingdomBedroom door had large gap which meant mosquitos could get in but once we brought a plug in this resolved quickly.
Beautiful location surrounded by rice fields. The rooms are big and comfortable. Even though it is far away from the main road, the staff are always happy to give lifts.

AustraliaBreakfast options could be improved with at least some fresh fruit offered. Absolutely no towel rail or rack anywhere inside or out, which was pretty inconvenient for a week long stay. Check elsewhere for prices to the airport first as felt we were overcharged from what they first advertised when we’d arrived.
Comfortable bed, peaceful spot at the end of the paved path in the rice fields.

United StatesBreakfast could be better.
The location was amazing as long as you don’t mind walking a bit or hiring a motorbike. The hotel is situated in the middle of rice paddies and the road is only accessible with a motorbike or on foot. The center of Ubud is only 15min away walking. Very tranquil and beautiful.

South AfricaA little far from town centre if that's important to you. 15-20 min walk to the high streets.
Pleasant, tranquil area & place with all the basics you need for a visit to Ubud. Great access to walks between the rice paddies, especially if you head north onto the path on the other side of the stream to the West.

ChileIt should be more clear that you cant acces by car or taxi, you have to arrange pick up by bike with the hotel or rent one before, you can walk but with suitcases is far, the best part of the hotel is the setting but it could be more clean, the staff is very friendly and nice but hard to comunicate with. The breakfast is not good
The hotel is beatifully located right in the middle of rice terraces and the design really blends in, you really fell in bali, the road to get there is beatifull the room was nice, clean ( but could have been better) with a nice small garden to sit outside. You can rent a bike right there at a good price wich i definitly recomend because is a good walk to get there

United StatesThe breakfast options were very limited. There were about 5 breakfast meal options from which you could pick. But I could not mix and match the dishes to get what I wanted - even though the dish was being served. It would be helpful if the staff provided transport to the main road. Even when I was walking along the road, they passed by me and didn't offer a ride.
The location was BEAUTIFUL! It was remote but a short walk through the rice fields to the hustle and bustle of the city. There are also less travelled paths that take you to hidden gems. The room was spacious with a patio and personal koi fish pond. The staff were friendly and helpful. As a remote worker I often used the dining room as "my office" until late night. The wifi was strong which was important for me to do my work.

Wonderfull rice field views and sunset. Roof for yoga and sunset views. Silent cozy place. Pool is mostly hidden from sun and it is comfortable to spend time there when sun is on maximum. Helpful and nice staff. Good room. I will return to this place.
