I didn't like having to leave and return to my reality lol?

I loved the location of this retreat, off the beaten track, above the river and away from.the Hustle and Bustle of the streets. So peaceful and quite ❤️ Most days I spent relaxing at the retrea, felt like I had the whole place to myself. The staff are lovely and the hospitality faultless! It is everything it promises and more!

Access to this property is little confusing while going for the first time. But once go there it is so good

The bed was very firm, lighting on the stairs could be tricky at night.

We loved the quiet atmosphere and beautiful views at this property. The villa felt very private and surrounding area was very quiet. Pool and views were lovely. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Staff were also very quick to clean rooms and did a fantastic job each day of making our room fresh and nice while being environmentally conscious.

The fact that toilet and shower have a glass window with no option to cover it could be difficult if sharing the room

The food was only really good when Wayan cooked. The construction noise 2 years in a row was distracting.

We love so much about this place. The views, the size of the resort (only 8 rooms, very little people, it's romantic, cozy and very well kept) Wayan is an amazing cook and always smiles and Putu is also very sweet and all the staff are super friendly. The only thing we would ask to be different is to have a salad on the menu.

Water pressure in the shower could be a bit stronger but that is really the only complaint.

We couldnt enjoy the Retreat at all because of all the construction sounds! There is a construction going on right under the hotel and they start working very early in the morning for whole week. There should be an agreement with the hotel about that because this is a Retreat hotel and construction noisses should be limited to certain hours per day. There is also a shop just cross the Street so grinding machine sounds comes from there as well! The 3rd noisy thing was the personnel swiping the floors everyday. They are just using a broom which makes hella noise, thats Okay but they do it like 8 am in the morning all the way up to your villa door. It definetly wakes you up and its impossible to go back to sleep with all that construction noises.

The ambient is just priceless. The view of the Restaurant and infinity pool is gorgeous. Food and breakfast is pretty nice and having those at this view was a calming experience. Super friendly staff and the villa is just so nicely thought. It has a comfy bed with fly curtains, a tub at garden, and an area to sit and chill if you want. The location is also 20 mins away from Ubud center with bike.

Food in the restaurant was very average. Location is a bit far out of central Ubud but we knew that upon booking and I don’t think you’d get the beautiful views you get at this property in a place more centrally located to the main area of ubud.

Beautiful view into the Ubud jungle and of the rice fields when you walk out of the property. Very private and peaceful with only a small amount of villas. Staff were lovely and so helpful.

The construction starts at 8am so if u feel like sleeping till late u may experience noise and drilling. The hotels is far from the centre which is ok but we could hear motorbikes at night- we didn't wake up because of that but we could hear from far. Despite this, I would still go back

The bungalows are super functional- I liked the idea of two sinks and that you have two hanging areas and two places were to put suitcases.we didn't have the time to use the bath tub or the terrace but was super nice. The bed was very comfortable. The staff helpful. Breakfast was nice, and even if we needed one at 10.40am (breakfast is 7.30 to 10am) they served in the room exceptionally. I am very picky when it comes to cleaness, and rarely feel to walk barefoot in hotels but here I felt comfortable doing it.

We have recently stayed here and we where Blown away with our stay. From the moment we arrived until the moment we had left. It was one of the best 3 days we had in Bali. The staff went above and beyond for us. We will be back again soon to stay.

Everything was perfect

We loved the facility, staff, and food at the restaurant was amazing! They went above and beyond for us when we said it’s our honeymoon, decorating our room with rose petals and arranging a candle lit dinner. We will definitely be back!

The retreat is small and the pool is small. Food isn’t great. It is in the middle of no where.

Kadewa is a little paradise off the hustle and bustle of downtown Ubud. There are only 8 Villas on the property. You have the rainforest as a view, an infinity pool, and great breakfast options (especially for short stays). The staff were fantastic and accommodating. I indicated that our travel was for our anniversary and they formed a "happy anniversary" message made of rose petals on our bed. I think that's just the sweetest.

I would have given it a 10 - because it was soooo good in so many ways. But... there were some issues: 1 - I am very blonde. When we arrived I swam in the pool and decided to let my hair down. I thought I would shower straight after and wash out the chlorine. But my hair went a very dark blue green in a matter of minutes. I swim a lot - this has never happened to me before. It was clearly too much algaecide - told the staff and thought they would offer me something to compensate for the cost this would incur me at a hairdresser - but no one did. Although the girl was very apologestic and brought me tomato sauce which she herself googled might help - and I think it did help - a bit. But my hair is still very green. If someone's skin went a weird colour because of the chemicals in the water - I think they'd have paid more attention. 2 - I assumed the bar would have lots of drinks. It never occurred to me the bar would only sell Bintang bottles, and Bali made wine (by the bottle, in either red or white, which I did not find pleasant). So we got a taxi to take us 30min to the nearest shop to buy drinks. But it was all undrinkable. this isn't the hotel's fault though - the import tax for foreign alcohol is apparently around 200-300%. 3 - the morning we left he had to leave very early - to get the taxi at 5am -and the power and water was out. Made it hard to get ready, have a coffee, shower etc.

The staff were exceptionally helpful. They worked so hard! But they did a great job. The food was fantastic. Very fresh. Everything was clean and the venue was so well kept and lovely. We worried that being so isolated the limited food options at the restaurant / bar would not be good - but the food was very fresh. Our room was lovely with a gorgeous view - but all the rooms would have also had a lovely view. The location was stunning. The pool was gorgeous (just don't let your hair in the water if you're blonde).
