Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

RomaniaThere was no soap/shampoo in the bathroom. I didnt ask for any, as I had my own. Separatelly, thisisn’t a negative, more a heads up, so you can choose according to your needs. This isnt the type of accommodation you can spend your day at. It’s perfectly fine to rest during the night and prepare for your days of adventure. Breakfast is only one item (you can choose from about 3-4 things), fresh fruit and a cup of coffee. It’s fine, but dont expect much.
It is clean, no bugs, no mold (which can be a problem in many other places). The room isnt big, but it is spacious enough. Breakfast on the terace overlooking the mountains is nice. The owner’s son is very nice, he kindly made some recommendations. I didnt ask, but i am sure he can help with trips and taxi. It’s located on a main street so very easy to walk around but because it’s up you cannot hear the noise, so you can rest at night.

AustraliaThe friendly staff who provided us a nutritious and delicious breakfast in the rooftop each morning of our stay. The location was central Ubud yet it was peaceful and serene above the street. We appreciated the view over rooftops and out towards the mountain.

SlovakiaI stayed here for three nights, and I can’t recommend it enough! The hosts were absolutely amazing—so kind, attentive, and always ready to help with anything. Their hospitality truly made the stay unforgettable. One of the best parts was the breakfast, which was served every morning at the exact time I requested—always punctual and beautifully presented right in front of my room. Such a lovely start to the day! The location is also great—peaceful yet close to everything in Ubud. If you’re looking for a place with warm hospitality, a great location, and thoughtful details, this is the perfect choice. I would definitely stay here again!

MalaysiaGround floor (common area/waiting area) can be cleaner.
The room was spacious and clean. Beautiful mountain view from the balcony. Hanging out at balcony at night, you can hear music from kecak dance show across the road. Breakfast was delicious. Agus being so helpful as a host. He offered us a scooter for rental at an affordable price, since he knew we were planning to ride to Kintamani the next morning. He even offered to provide our breakfast earlier before the ride. We had a pleasant stay at Kampung Sari Homestay.

United StatesLike many places in Ubud, this is not a good choice of you can't handle many stairs but I would love to stay here again.
Quiet spot tucked away off the main street. So close to everything. Great rooms at an amazingly low price. Breakfast is served at the table on the balcony outside your room at the time you request. They were very accommodating about my late night arrival. Luggage storage after check out is not a problem. They even offered me a protective bracelet when I left.

MalaysiaLacks of some direction at the entrance. Owner did not respond to breakfast request when I texted them one day in advanced.
Exceptional cleanliness in the room and toilet. The vibe is a home stay within a local art gallery, which I like a lot.

SingaporeThe only minor downside was the stairs leading into the house, which might be a bit challenging for some. However, Agus, the host, went above and beyond by carrying my luggage all the way to and from my room to the taxi when I departed, which was a kind gesture I really appreciated.
I had a fantastic stay in Ubud! The location was perfect—central, quiet, and close to all amenities, shops, and attractions. Despite being near the heart of the town, it was peaceful and serene, providing a restful atmosphere. My room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable, offering a great place to relax. What truly made this stay special was the host family. They were incredibly kind and welcoming, offering me helpful tips to explore Ubud, treating me to delicious home-cooked dishes, and even gifting me thoughtful souvenirs.

United KingdomYou have to navigate quite steep stairs from the very busy central street cutting through ubud so if you have heavy luggage, like I did, or any leg disability, I would avoid coming here. As a solo traveller it would have been nice to have had some help when checking in especially as I was feeling quite unwell and was late at night. They were very helpful when I was checking out with my luggage to help me get it back down to street level along with looking after it after I checked out. Also please be aware they have a dog. The dog is harmless but does bark when any new guest comes which can be a bit intimidating if you do not know how the dog actually is.
Absolute bargain. For the price, the room you get is amazing along with the breakfast (which is made to order and the timing of your choice). The rooms are big, clean and comes witha fridge and hairdryer and other basic amenities. It also has the feel of an old traditional balinese house but also far more luxurious than a true homestay so gives the best of both worlds. The place is also very central but very quiet as well. Not sure how they have managed this but had a very peaceful night considering the location.

This is family operated homestay. Facility is kind of historic building and is partially remodeled for renting. Agus, the owner 's son is very friendly, help us for few tours. The only thing is the entrance stairs, about 30 steps, which is harder if you have a suitcase. But the staff can help. Location is closed to many attractions. Highly recommended

AustraliaWe don't usually leave reviews, but this place truly stole our hearts. Spending our last few days in Bali here was like a dream. The room was cozy and inviting, the views were absolutely breathtaking, and the peacefulness was just what we needed. The breakfast each morning was a delightful treat, but what made our stay truly unforgettable was the warmth and hospitality of the staff. They made us feel so welcome and cherished. We are deeply grateful for the wonderful experience and would come back in a heartbeat. We also took advantage of their laundry service, which was impeccable. This place will always hold a special place in our hearts.
