Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesIt would be nice to have some etiquette expectations when people bring kids. One family had three kids who took over the entire pool with toys and screaming. It definitely changed the vibe of the place.
Beautiful rooms and attention to detail. Great breakfast. Amazing staff.

Nice, calm place but close to the center of Ubud. The rooms and especially the bathrooms were spacious and comfy. The style is more traditional Balinese, not really one of the hipster accommodations that you see everywhere in Bali. Great and tasty breakfasts and also afternoon snacks and coffee and tea. The staff arranged us a driver who took us to the lakes, temples, waterfalls and rice fields.

AustraliaMuch as I would like to give a balanced comment I find I cannot as there really was nothing we didn't like other than the inevitable visitations by the local mosquitos. The staff were just so beautiful that they ensured that there were a couple of mossie coils burning every evening.
Staff were brilliant, happy helpful and polite. Room was large as was the bathroom and breakfast on the porch a real treat to look forward to each morning. Ubud was on our doorstep but we were far enough away from the main drag so as not to be affected by daily noise of traffic. Just loved our stay and will return.

AustraliaThis place is a gem. It is beautifully appointed in traditional balinese style and is peaceful and quiet, despite being right in town. The location was perfect. Most of my time was spent on the balcony looking out over a canopy of trees with a perfect afternoon breeze. The morning breakfast and afternoon tea is delivered to you each day. The best thing about this place is the staff and I can't thank them enough for looking after me so well. Kebun Indah is one of those special places if you're looking for a true balinese experience.

AustraliaTher were renovating the room next to mine, so a bit noisy during the day. I recommend earplugs if you want a daytime chill or nap - only if they are still renovating,
Breakfast is amazing, my last day my flight was early, I did get a breakfast box to take away. The room and bathroom were beautiful, the view from my balcony was supurb. Staff were friendly.

AustraliaLeaving to go to Seminyak! Next time we will just stay the whole time at K.I.
We had the most beautiful in such a peaceful villa, with traditional architecture and amazing natural views. Every staff member was delightful, and made our day so special with their warmness and hospitality. It was our first time traveling with our baby (1 year old) and everyone greeted him with love. He absolutely loved the attention. There were a fantastic range of breakfast options and we very much enjoyed the traditional Balinese food. There was also complimentary afternoon tea, with delicious cakes and tea / coffee options, which was a nice touch. Thank you to the exceptional staff for all your kindness and hospitality. Our son especially loved Jos and Molly, but we met so many beautiful people and we wish we could remember all of your names💙. We cannot wait to return for another stay. This villa is in a central location, close to supermarkets, Warrungs, the monkey forests and yoga barn. Matur suksma! Until we meet again!

United KingdomNothing at all
We couldn’t fault one thing - absolutely everything was perfect and exceeded our expectations. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff, beautiful surroundings and excellent location. Exceptional breakfast every day and the staff insisted on providing us with a ‘breakfast box’ when we needed to leave early a couple of mornings which was a lovely touch. Would love to return one day!

United KingdomThe peak experience of my month in Bali would be the time I spent in Ubud and I designated two weeks of my trip to this location renowned for art, self-actualisation, good karma and all things spiritual. My choice of Ubud hotel was therefore of the utmost importance in setting the mood for my Ubud Experience. I spent hours often deep into the night on my Go-To booking site – Booking.com – searching for the most perfect setting and location. I found it at KEBUN INDAH. This exquisite, boutique hideaway of only seven, tiered, villa rooms offered everything that I had dreamed of. As is my practice, I had already developed a pleasant online relationship with the staff at the hotel. This is one of the great things about the Booking.com set-up. There was a quick and caring response from Kebun Indah, reassuring me they had allocated me “my perfect room,” the villa nearest the pool. On arrival, a busy lunchtime, my driver had dropped me on a dusty, noisy road with, as usual, motor bikes roaring past in droves. My outsize suitcase was dragged down a snicket towards the hotel. “Oh dear!” I thought. “This does not look promising!” The snicket opened out into a lovely, floral, openair Reception area of intimate size. I was given a welcome drink, a delicious cocktail of different fruits. I felt myself relaxing and unwinding, definitely feeling more “Om…”. I was greeted by Joss, one of the lovely Receptionists with whom I was to have delightful exchanges during my stay. Soon I was ready for that Special Moment; being shown to my room. I was conducted down through a gorgeous, verdant and floral garden passing beautiful terraced villas on the way. I suppose I dropped down three or four levels and the last terraced villa was…mine! It was utterly, dreamily perfect. It was the only one at that level so lots of privacy. In front of it, a few steps down, was the small L-shaped pool. I looked forward to dawn and starlit dips.

ItalyOur room was a bit damp and humid. Switching AC on solved it.
The hotel is a hidden oasis of peace in the hustle and bustle of Ubud, yet everything is a hundred meters from it. We loved the small yet lush garden and the open air bathroom of our room. Afternoon tea with cake is a small but welcome treat for guests. Staff was very helpful when we had a problem with tickets.

Our stay at this enchanting villa, nestled amidst a lush oasis of greenery, was truly exceptional. It allowed us to connect deeply with nature, immersing ourselves in the natural surroundings. One of the standout aspects of this villa, it's exquisite traditional architectural design that left us in awe, and the terrace provided a wonderfully cozy haven for relaxation. The breakfast options were not only delicious but also diverse, offering an array of choices. We were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary afternoon tea. We are truly grateful to the staff members who consistently demonstrated their kindness and helpfulness throughout our stay. Villa is located in a central location, conveniently situated near numerous attractions. Despite its proximity to these attractions, the villa managed to provide a tranquil and private retreat from the bustling traffic, creating a serene atmosphere that allowed us to escape and unwind fully.
