Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsSuch a nice place with a beautiful green garden and cozy, clean and comfortable cottages. The staff was very friendly and de location is great, as it is both quiet and close to the main road of Amed. We stayed for four days with our daughter (4 yrs) who loved to play in this beautiful and safe environment (with a few free roaming bunnies). Very recommended (with or without kids).

FranceShower had no pressure, difficult to wash your hair. The floor of the outside shower was like outdoor floor so it didn’t feel clean (even if maybe it was). Swimming pool looked better in picture. Very limited sunbath chairs, and broken. They should replace them.
Quiet location, friendly staff. Room was clean and spacious. We had a water jar to drink in the room. A bit of walking to get to the center.

United StatesThe only negative or thing you should know, it is only a 10 min walk from the beach, but the nice beaches with snorkeling are a bit far. We rented scooters from the villa for 80k and 130k daily. Amed is fun to scooter around as traffic is very light. There are a couple cafes closer to villa. Taxi services are available, but you have to ask the villa staff or around town. Amed is separate out if you plan to see all the sights, you'll need a scooter or car.
Such a quiet little villa tucked back on a side street. The restaurant food was incredible! The owner is Italian and apparently has an Italian chef, the pasta was so good... Homemade raviolis! Daily breakfast is not included, it's good but a bit pricey for the area. We were surprised to learn they had upgraded our room because we were staying for 8 nights with kids, they put us in the biggest villa which was very nice and airy. The bathroom was very cool, open air! The kids loved the bunnies and cats that lived onsite. The pool was nice after a day at the beach. The staff was lovely, the owner was warm and welcoming too!

United KingdomThe cottages are quite dark due to their traditional construction but it doesn’t detract from the overall quality of the resort.
Fantastic location 10 minutes walk from the main road. Cottages are rustic but fantastically clean and have everything you need for a comfortable stay. The bed is a comfortable as we’ve ever slept on. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The pool and spa are added touches of luxury that makes the resort so much more than many others.

SpainThe place is fantastic. Exactly like in the pictures and staff is really friendly. We were only a couple of nights but could have stayed longer. Breakfast was amazing, lots to choose from and home made. Probably the best I had during my whole stay in Bali. Dinner was very good too, very comfortable if you want to stay in after a long day out. The rooms are big with lots of places to put your things. There is a free water bottle to fill up your water bottles or to make tea or coffee, airco is working perfectly and the bathrooms are clean and spacious.

IndonesiaThe breakfast buffet was not so impressive. Could be more appetisingly presented.
We loved the outdoor shower! It gave us a sensation of being out in the forest. They served homemade Italian dishes that made everyone happy. We were offered and helped to an upgrading of the room on demand. We recommend the heavenly Balinese massage.

Sri LankaNo air flow in huts or garden so not great for rainy season- clothes, towels, everything remained very damp for our whole stay. Lots of mosquitoes but no nets provided. Pool water was murky the first couple of days but cleared up.
Beautiful place. Lots of attention to detail. Breakfast was quite expensive but was excellent. Loved the double level huts and pool area. Felt very comfortable and luxurious and good value at low season price. I enjoyed using the empty yoga shala each morning (no classes running in low season). Staff were all lovely.
