This place is huge and easy to get lost in. Some areas of the hotel are left unattended by staff I had to wait for 30min to ask someone where could I find a pool towel.. however the staff are friendly and helpful.

Fantastic hotel in the terrace paddies and overlooking a ravine and jungle. Facilities, including the two restaurants, were fantastic, and so was the staff. We had a room with our own terrace and an endless pool overlooking the jungle. Cannot recommend this hotel high enough if you are planning a visit to Ubud.

Seemed a little light on staff compared to other places but wasn't a real issue given the laid back vibe and quiet setting.

Amazing location and facilities Quiet and peaceful which was a breath of fresh air compared to busy Ubud. The perfect place to chill out and have some private time with having crowds of typical tourists.

The service at the main restaurant, had to cancel some desert orders because they forgot some orders and some took 1hour +. Also had to leave our Breakfast to go because it wasn't prepared in time as agreed the night before. They have very limited staff to execute their offerings.

There is no service at the lower pool, and it is very slow service all around. Had to leave the pool area to order food and drinks. No one came to us at the main pool, and it felt like the staff were hiding. we sat there all day, and no one came to serve us odd for $470 a night resort.

Beautiful place to relax and very quite. Villas are huge with private pool.

that staff were not very attentive ( I dined solo and their was no one their at all and yet I had to wait for even a drink) staff were gathered around watching or looking at something on their phone . ( I do have photo) also the fact that upon arrival and even on departure my payment was being asked ( this should have been notes that it was paid ) showed them the transaction and message from them saying this) yet paper on arrival said get payment . after a big day last thing I needed . this happened on multiple occasions . ( and it wasn’t busy periods) I expected some attention seeing I was paying the price for accommodation. one breakfast the piece of bacon given looked like it was someone’s left over ( photo also taken) however this was resolved with 2 full pieces . but still puzzled . 40 mins was wait . although of course not expecting them to understand Ozzie’s accent they did not really even try or acknowledge me at all. ( 9 days prior I was at much lower prices property and treated like the queen) staff that came at night for room service were 2 lovley ladies ( I attempted to tip) they refused then rang and said they had change and I said it’s ok they can have them 10 mins later they arrived back at villa with $$ . also I was their when lads cleaned the room they left rubbbish and empty bottles in bathroom . and didn’t fill my bath salts and appeared just quite lazy. and toilet paper was needed. ( this I asked for and they returned) while seated on 🚽 I can see so many hairs and dirt amongst the rock shower ( incredible shower ) I feel terrible for writing a review but as my only luxury life stay possibly I was saddened with staff experience . The stairs! We had to take 2-3 flights of stairs to get from our room to the pool/dining area for breakfast - this might be because of our room location. If you can't get a buggy to take you to reception, you'll have to go up some stairs or up a slope. There were ants in the bathtub and shower area. Far from the main road and quite dark at night if you're riding a motorbike.

The resort was amazing!!! Our room was pretty sweet! and my favorite part of the room is the bath salt LOL shoutout the to staff who kept refilling the bath salts! The staff was accommodating and caring - I say this because they offered their on-call doctor to check on my partner when they noticed he was not feeling well. We even got an ambulance to go to the hospital. I was really impressed. The package we got has breakfast included and the breakfast option is superb! The shared pool and view were also breathtaking. I'd definitely go back :') Kenran also offers a bunch of extra services such as meditation and yoga - I didn't get to do these as I didn't have time. The location was pretty scary TBH :') During the day we're out on tours but once we're back in the afternoon, we'd hire their motorbike and ride to Ubud center, it's pretty close which is good, however, since we return at night, it is very dark, and quite spooky. I wish we stayed longer to use the amenities and relaxed more!!

The Hotel was really into a remote area with no access to Markets or any restaurants, even the Breakfast options were not good they were asking for one meal per person for breakfast thats the first time I have seen in any resort, but there was an in-house Asian restaurant to the rescue for Indians or vegetarians , the taste was ok but at-least, you can have some food.. lol

Due to the unique resort design, there are a lot of steps from the rooms to the restaurant/reception. The benefits of the scenery outweighed this for us, but visitors with reduced mobility may find this difficult.

We loved our stay at Kenran. Breakfast was excellent with great variety and food at restaurant was also very good! The pool is great, scenery is beautiful and property is well maintained. Housekeeping staff were very friendly and efficient!

The service by the pool is quite slow, and most of the time you have to ask for a drink rather than being offered which I usually get from 5* hotels. The hotel is as someone previously said a ‘ghost town’ there isn’t much of an atmosphere, the same two cds are played by the pool and most of the songs are depressing. The food selection at the restaurant isn’t great considering there is only one open restaurant at the hotel. It would be nice if there was another restaurant with a varied menu and some entertainment in the evenings to keep guests occupied as most guests had dinner and went back to their rooms. A lot of the hotel doesn’t seem to be finished or open so it does get quite boring if you don’t rent a car or scooter to get around as the hotel is in a quite remote location with no ATM. The hotel rooms are quite damp and require some tidying up with cracks in walls, holes in ceilings with wires sticking out, leaking sink etc which I wouldn’t expect for the price we paid.

The location was beautiful and views are lovely at this hotel, most staff were friendly and attentive, the reception staff were always helpful and kind, they met all of our requests such as flowers in our bath and floating breakfast which I would recommend. We used our 15 minute complimentary massage vouchers on our last day and that was amazing the lady was very friendly I only wish we went sooner. The baths are gorgeous and there are jars of bath salts next to the baths which is a lovely touch.

The drainage was poor (the sinks). The in-room slippers were thin. The safe was located a bit too low in the cupboard, making it a chore to get down on the floor to use it. Accessibility is something to consider, especially if you intend to ride a bike or motorcycle as the routes are treacherous. Have to be extra careful as the terrain of the roads are undulating. To go out, you will likely pass-by rice fields and graveyards, so do take note if you do think of traveling at night as some areas are not lighted.

The breakfast was good. The room was clean, interior looks amazing, view was natural and bathtub was amazing. Recommended more for those who are interested to be in a quiet place and away from the town. There is actually a river at the bottom as told by the locals.

The rooms are big and spacious, bigger than normal 5 star hotels with luxury finishing. Have free buggy driven by friendly staff to move around from rooms to lobby/ restaurant.
