Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FranceThe place is a bit old, not a lot of lights in the room, it’s possible to stay 1 night, the owner is super kind, and trying to give you the service.

GermanyThe location was not so nice. The only reachable beach is the diamond beach (from there you can reach the Atuh beach, too). The rest of the beaches is not reachable by foot. BUT, for the first time in my life i was prompted to pay an entrance fee to visit a beach. (30k / person) That is totally hillarious. We thaught of staying there for a few days to go to the diamond beach several times a day. We just did not want to pay 30k /person, every time we come back again. Without paying for the beach, there is nothing else to do around there. We even asked the locals about other activities, but thats it. Thats the first thing that was disappointing. One reason for booking the hotel, was because of the restaurant. Unfortunately it was closed on that day, because of a ceremonie. No problem, I can deal with that. There are other restaurants down the street. After we came back from the beach in the evening, we had no electrical power. We wrote the host and they solved the problem very fast. So it was not much of a problem, too. (At this point i have to say: nice and fast reaction by our very kind host.) We booked the wooden cabin, so there were a few mosquitos. We expected it and could even deal with that. We tried to sleep, but it was very loud the whole night. Bugs, Frogs, Dogs and birds were making annoying and loud noises. We put in earplugs and then we could sleep relatively well. Then in the morning there was a giant cockroach in one of our shoes. That was too much for both of us in the morning and the reason why we wanted to leave instantly. So all in all it was ok for one night. I would not stay there longer, because there is nothing else to do. One day for the diamond beach is more than enough. If you decide to stay here for a night, i guess the stone houses are far better, than the wooden cabins. Maybe we just had a little bad luck with all the troubles around, but i would not come back again.
The bathroom was brilliant. The people were kind and helped us as good as possible. We were able to modify the booking, because we decided to leave earlier. They even dropped us at another hotel for a good price. We asked to serve breakfast earlier than we ordered and they served it as we pleased. Very nice!

GermanyThe bathroom roof has only little holes so that it stays very humid there and creatures have a chance to get stuck there. It is a bit far from the harbours, so be prepared for a longer (bumpy) taxi ride.
The hosts are very friendly and cook very well. The location is only a walk away from Diamond beach, which is just amazing. Also it is located on a hill with nice views.

SpainWe didn’t feel welcome. Basic communication “this is your room, this is the wifi password” and nothing else. Staff guys were hanging out in a corner with friends I guess, and did ask if we needed something at all. And when we asked for a good spot for sunrise we also didn’t get much info. Breakfast was very very basic, I was expecting something better after reading the reviews but it really felt like we were bothering when we asked for it.
Location is great if like us you want to visit Diamond & Atuh Beach. Room and bed were clean and comfortable even though the room is quite small.

The owners were good people. After we complained we had flies in our room they changed our room. I really wish to give more stars because of their kindness but we did not like the property.

United KingdomVery close to nature, nice little house for a getaway from cities. Only thing to consider, only diamond beach is there and very few places to eat. So if you want to rest, this is your place! The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was very clean.

It’s a beautiful little gem near Diamond Beach. Everything is so beautiful, quiet and peaceful in every details. The owners are so kind and nice. The room was perfect, the outside shower is a plus (love it). It was super clean. The breakfast was really good. And they do lunch and dinner too if you want. 10 min walk to diamond beach, you can go see the sunrise and it’s magical ! If you wanna stay in Nusa Penida it’s the place to be!
