We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

BrazilI wish I could have stayed longer! - One thing to know, the villa is only accessible by motorbike or walking. 15min walk from main street or an easy grab ride. But maybe for elderly people is not so friendly.
Everything was amazing. Kidem and Wayan are excellent hosts and took such good care of us. The villa is incredible, so beautiful in the middle of the rice fields. The room is comfortable, spacious and done in good taste. I had an amazing time and I would definitely come back. Breakfast was great and even on a day that we had an early tour, they still brought breakfast to our room. Can't wait to come back! Thank you!

Czech RepublicThe place is not accessible by car and the “road” or rather sidewalk is little adventurous while driving scooter 😁 But hosts will take you and all your stuf by bike ☺️
The hosts were absolutely amazing, willing and helpful. Cottage is very nice, new and clean. You are just few minutes from the centre but hidden between rice fields in nature. Don’t forgot to ask for delicious teas which hosts can serve you ♥️

BelgiumWayan and the others were very friendly and helpful, always smiling. We had a lovely time in this amazing place in the middle of the rice fields. What a paradise! But still walking distance from the centre, although they happily take you there by scooter if needed 😀 They also organised two day trips for us with a great driver Gusti, highly recommend!

The rooms were beautiful, the owners helpful and so friendly, they recommended a great cooking class, organised a massage on our verandah and sorted a taxi. They and the lovely staff also took us up and down on their scooters when we needed it, we had breakfast on our verandah with fresh juice and the dog Jojo is gorgeous too. We loved everything about our stay at Kidem Villas and we hope to return, we wished we could have stayed longer. When you arrive it seems remote but within minutes you feel destressed looking at the beauty around you.

ChinaThe countryside villa was stunning, made entirely of wood and nestled amidst the rice fields. With two enormous floor-to-ceiling windows, one could experience the beautiful rural charm of Bali without leaving the comfort of the house. The two hosts were incredibly warm, friendly, and helpful, providing a flawless living experience

Very friendly host who is very accommodating, even made us a special breakfast which was not on the menu. The rice fields were very relaxing, especially at nighttime when the fireflies came out. Very nice for daytime napping.

This place is amazing. Kidem and Wayan are the nicest people we met for a while. They are very helpful. They helped us with a cookingclass, boat to gili air, laundry and scooters and that was all done very good. The location is wonderful in the rice fields and we really liked their dog Dojo ♥️. The breakfast is also very good (and a lot, I recommend the pancakes). Overall, just go here, you will love it.

Even better than the photos!! Away from the hustle of the city but close enough that it was still convenient. The walk to the main road was so beautiful in the rice fields and had convenient restaurants and shops while maintaining a serene feeling. It was well lit at night and felt safe at all times. Honestly the location was such a perk, it was so nice to see the calm side of Ubud. The staff were incredible… always asking if we wanted anything, offering rides to town… they were amazing. Breakfasts were the best we’ve had in Bali! Definitely get the pancakes… they’re pink with dragon fruit in them! Their little dog was adorable and friendly.. we’re sad we can’t take her home haha! This was probably the best place we’ve ever stayed in… don’t hesitate to book! There’s no greater feeling than waking up in the rice fields.

United StatesEverything was wonderful and we have no complaints!
Kidem & Wayah are exceptional hosts who go above and beyond for their guests! This was by far our favorite stay in Bali. Staying amongst the rice paddies was serene and beautiful - well worth the extra trek up the hill to get there. The room and amenities are modernized and well kept. The villa was clean and had everything as described. I was worried about mosquitoes as I do get bit easily but the mosquito net in the room worked well and the bugs stay away with spray at dawn and dusk. Kidem, Wayah and their staff are so friendly and welcoming. They truly do everything they can to meet their guests needs. Every time we arrived back at our villa, we were offered tea or coffee - absolutely stellar service. Despite being outside of the Ubud main street, is still easily accessible by foot to get to Ubud’s city centre and the hosts are too kind and will offer lifts by motor bike to help you get to destinations at the bottom of the hill. Every morning breakfast is brought to your villa and it is delicious. The pool is lovely and refreshing during the afternoon heat - pool towels and pool loungers are available. We cannot say enough good things about Kidem Ubud Villas. There are beautiful views at both ends of the villas morning, afternoon and night. It is magical to get to watch the fire flies light up in the darkness over the rice paddies. And the quiet sounds of the paddies bring you peace during the day. Staying here is truly a unique and wonderful experience - a must during your visit to Ubud!

Germany-
Our host Kidem, as well as his wife Wayan and the entire team were extremely friendly, helpful and courteous. They really made our stay special! The apartment was as shown in the photos, very spacious, clean, well-equipped and from the terrace you can have a nice view of the neighboring rice terraces. We really enjoyed the fact that the apartments are not located directly on Ubud's busy streets, but on a quiet side street that can only be accessed by scooters. Transporting our luggage (large suitcase and large backpack) was no problem for the experienced staff. We were also taken from the intersection to our accommodation by scooter. We sometimes enjoyed taking the path as a short walk on foot. We were also offered at any time that they could drive us on the scooters and pick us up. Kidem makes excellent breakfasts. His pancakes are particularly noteworthy. But the alternatives such as omelets or fried rice are also super tasty. There is also fresh fruit, freshly made fruit juice and tea or coffee. We especially enjoyed his herbal tea, but also the peppermint tea from his own garden. It's not just in the morning that you get such good care. You will be taken care of and given excellent care throughout the day. Kidem also organizes massages that take place in your own apartment. We each opted for a one-hour Balinese massage, which was an excellent choice. The women understood their craft excellently and it was a great experience. Kidem also took excellent care of us on the day we left. He is not only an exceptionally good and kind host, but also a good driver! Depending on whether the time is right, he can also drive his guests to the next accommodation in his car.

RomaniaJust 15 minutes walking from the noisy and crowded Ubud main street, Kidem and his wife, the owners of this bungalow complex have managed to create an extraordinary oasis of peace and comfort, in the middle of the rice fields! The rooms were clean and comfortable and both the owners and their staff were warm and absolutely exceptional people and we absolutely recommend this property to anyone visiting Ubud for a few days!

IrelandNothing. Even though their is a little walk to the villa, your walking through lush rice paddys and nature. Its magical! (and there are plenty of small bars and restaurants on the way to the villa to stop for a refreshment on the way).
What can I say... I simply cannot speak highly enough about Kidem and his wife (owners) and their amazing villas in the rice paddy. Firstly the property, the comfiest beds, mattress, feather pillows you've ever tried. The breakfast on the terrace each morning amazing, a huge selection, the whole experience was just the most relaxing I've ever had. But what I cannot speak enough about is the owners. They both went above and beyond, providing us with free lifts to the town whenever we needed (even at 2am, with a smile on their face) nothing is too much for them to do for you. They can also arrange every tour/trip/boat you may need over the entire island at a lower price than anywhere else online or in the village. We were so sad to leave. This place was better than some of the best 5* hotels I've stayed in anywhere else in the world. (It is exactly as in the pictures)

PortugalEverything. Kidem, his wife and staff are the best hosts ever. Even their dog (Chu Chu) is super friendly. They treat us like family and go above and beyond to please their guests. They are absolutely amazing people and so so kind that are always worried if we need something. Kidem is also the best tour guide. He drove us to stunning places and we could learn a lot from him about Balinese culture. The villas are always cleaned, comfortable and beautiful! Best sleep we have ever had in our lives. They fed us with traditional food and we also loved the breakfast they cooked for us every morning. I got to tell you - the pancakes and the tea are to die for. If you stay here you will get the real Balinese experience. Way better than a resort! Kidem, wife and staff girls, we wish you the best and hope we can meet again once we come back to Bali! Room was lovely and spacious with an abundance of natural light. The bed, bedding and pillow were all super comfortable which led to an amazing few nights sleep. The scenery surrounding is stunning making you feel your staying in a painting. The owner are also amazing!! There level of customer service was exceptional and they’re genuinely happy to help you in any way. The day of our check out was a national holiday so no taxis would pick us up. Kidem drop us off in his own our free of charge taking time out of his day. He’s an amazing host who I can’t speak highly enough off.
