Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

JapanLocation-little deep inside the road, so bit walk from palace. Room-Uncomfortable as bed is small. Almost no table n chair to use. Too many lizards. Ambience-Looks beautiful surrounding with good greenery & Pool. Food-Limited (no buffet) but good if you eat egg (no pure veg). Reception & staff leaves at 10pm and returns at 7am. So, its deserted after 10pm. Overall - Not recommended for families as feels lonely & lizards.

New ZealandNot being able to refill our water bottles - every hotel should have a clean water dispenser for guests to refill their bottle in order to help reduce the amount of plastic bottles being used and thrown away every day.
Felt very private and quiet, yet accessible by foot to the monkey forest and lots of shops and restaurants. Our room had a cute outdoor shower, comfortable bed, and the restaurant was lovely. The pool is nice as well. Staff was helpful.

BelgiumOnly thing that can be improved is the gaps between the doors, because its very easy for insects to come. But they provided a short term fix of filling it with towels.
Very pleasant and friendly staff and service. They were always available to help with a smile. The breakfast options are also nice, limited but tasty. Rooms are also nice size and clean, but you can expect bugs, lizards and ants to come in due to the gaps in the door and open bathroom. Nice pool, Very convenient location, walkable distance to the market, food places, scooty hires, massage, etc. I would recommend

AustraliaThe WIFi is almost non-existent. The restaurant food wasn’t great which isn’t a big issue since Ubud has amazing food everywhere!
The location is great with loads of excellent restaurants nearby. The property is good value for money and very clean.

CanadaLocation was a little far from Ubud Main Street, but we enjoyed walking and could have easily gotten a taxi or gojek.
We all had rooms on the second floor overlooking the pool and a rice padi beyond. Great view and we really enjoyed the balcony. Rooms were nice and big. Staff were all super friendly. Hot water showers. Nice pool for swimming. Great restaurant on site and lots of others close by. Wonderful breakfast. Convenience stores close by. Close to the Monkey forest.

South KoreaThe room service menu prices vary depending on the room, and it is recommended that they update and standardize this information. Additionally, there is no service available to ensure that rooms booked for companions are located near each other, which could be improved for better guest convenience.

IndiaIt is about a Km away from the centre of Ubud. Lots of eateries along the way to the center. Ubud center is the main shopping place and is a 15 min walk from the hotel. Monkey forest is just 5 min walk from the hotel. So the hotel is in a quiet and peaceful place with no noise disturbances The hotel itself is a boutique property overlooking a rice terrace. The rooms are large, comfortable and clean. There is a TV and mini refrigerator. Hot water works all the time. The breakfast provided is basic. The staff is courteous and helpful Overall an absolute value for money
