Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe staff forgot my 30th birthday! But then remembered the next day and made up for it with flowers and a cake haha!
Beautiful gardens and the main infinity pool is incredible. The staff were fantastic, really friendly, remember you by name. The rooms were amazing too, really big, super comfy bed! It's a slight walk into the centre of Ubud, maybe 5-10 minutes but it's on a main Street. Breakfast was really tasty and good options from a set menu. We had a wonderful stay here overall!

The staff at Komaneka are outstanding. They are so helpful and polite. The location of the hotel is perfect and very close to the monkey forest. From its prime spot you can pretty much walk anywhere in Ubud, but there are plenty of taxis available if you prefer to rest your legs. Great breakfast options with unlimited coffee. Also afternoon tea between 4pm to 5pm is worth going to for a light snack. The chef does not disappoint. The room is superb (we had a private dipping pool).

AustraliaWhat a lovely little retreat in the centre of Ubud. It felt like a world away from the hustle and bustle and easy walking distance to most things. The friendliness of the staff just made the experience exceptional.

ItalyOnly thing that could be improved is the restaurant times, restaurants in Ubud are currently closing very early (around 9pm) so it would help to have the restaurant serve at later times. We easily solved the issue by having room service anyway.
Excellent service with professional and friendly staff,we really felt at home. You can tell great care is taken in helping guests live Ubud to the full. Location is very handy to walk around Ubud (15min walk to monkey forest) and the rooms are also great, air conditioning works perfectly and the beds are very comfortable. Also the toilet in the bathroom is separate, something that you don't get often in Indonesia.

United KingdomThe staff are the best I have ever witnessed. So attentive and friendly they will do anything to make you feel comfortable. This is the first review I have ever posted but I had to because I was so blown away by the staff and hotel. The rooms are great and the location is perfect for exploring UBUD. Thanks to the staff. SingaporeBreakfast should have been Buffet. Too pricey per night considering there are many hotels around with similar or better experiences.
Breakfast: À la carte with limited choice and the same menu. Not happy after paying so much per night. Location: Centrally located on Ubud Street. Room: Limited choice and too pricey.

Lovely small hotel on monkey forest road, super convenient, wonderful friendly staff, good room and breakfast. Great base for a weekend. As a small boutique hotel, it doesn’t have all the frills of a big chain, but that’s why we like it!

Australiaour room location was upstairs and one of the first rooms near the restaurant, unfortunately the family staying below us allowed their kids to use the grass area next to our room as a play area from around 7:30am so we were woken up by this noise, the large glass balcony doors do not offer much noise reduction. the shower was a bit smelly like it needed a good bleach
location on monkey forest road is good and the property is back from the road so no traffic noise. beautiful grounds and traditional balinese style

AustraliaHad booked a Villa with pool overlooking the gorge & rainforest. Accommodation provided overlooked a rice paddy without rice, so just a hectare of mud, that smelt of rotting vegetation. Not ideal! Not so private either as paddy workers & resort opposite had direct unscreened views directly into our room and courtyard area. Some screening would be appropriate. Felt exposed.
Lovely & helpful staff. Though helpful, couldn't provide the room we'd booked, which was unfortunate. Rooms were well appointed & comfortable. Good central location. Pleasant breakfast with plenty of options.

SpainBrekfast could have more variety. The place being in the forest, is full of insects, therefore the room as well. Maybe they could do something about it since I was having even ants in my bed.

United KingdomBreakfast was bland and uninspiring, as was the food the one night I ordered room service. I asked that my room by left alone when I went out to eat in the evening, each night I came back to find someone had been in the room against my wishes. They turned on every single light so I had to go around turning everything off - not very sustainable friendly. Fridge, tea & coffee is all outside which is annoying. There is no mini bar, only water. I love nature but the toilet and shower are both outside, I didn’t find this relaxing given the size of mosquitoes and ants & didn’t enjoy shaking the towels out for bugs every time they were put outside. There was a very sad looking moat surrounding the bath that had some poor looking fish in it with water that barely covered their back, I felt this was cruel and added nothing to the space. The bed is two twins pushed together which was a little uncomfortable at times. There is no cable tv, only local channels. Airplay did not work so I had to use my own Netflix login on their tv. This was all that was available. The plunge pool was so cold it barely got used. No steps, just a ledge. I could barely touch the bottom as it’s so deep. Perhaps I was spoiled at the previous hotel I stayed in but I found this to be a 3 star hotel trying to be something it is not.
Centrally located. I enjoyed watching the wildlife - the monkeys, monitor lizards, birds, squirrels etc in the stream below. Bugs generally don’t bother me & I even enjoyed watching the ants go about their business. I just didn’t see the need for the toilet to be outside!
