Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SpainThe place was great, with such a nice garden, we enjoyed the pool and the bungalow was big with good bed and everything clean. It’s located near the Main Street of Amed but not so close to hear noise, at night was everything calm, only few animal noises which is normal being surrounded by nature. Also, the staff was so friendly and helpful, they provided us with everything we asked, we really enjoyed staying here.

New ZealandWe are a returning Kubu Kangin guest and for a good reason. Kubu Kangin has the most stunning garden, incredibly helpful staff, amazing breakfast, beautiful room and a great pool to cool down and relax. It is definitely our favorite accommodation in Bali!

So quiet and private oasis in already peaceful Amed. Closed private garden, nice pool and all other surroundings set your mind at ease, and the staff is super helpful and kind. The place is super clean, but the jungle is right next to it and the cabins are pretty open with a closed outdoor shower (a fact that we actually liked a lot), so the nature with all its creatures is present, but with the mosquito net around the bed a peaceful sleep is pretty much guaranteed.

AustraliaI loved everything about Kubukangin. I stayed 3 nights which was too short because the very spacious, very comfortable and well maintained bungalow (really liked the dark Javanese timber), the fabulous pool, stunning gardens, substantial breakfasts and wonderful staff made me want to stay for a week. Kubukangin is a short, easy, interesting walk through the very friendly village to Amed's main street and warungs, bars, shops and beach. You will love staying here - it's a slice of laidback, easy going, traditional Bali. If you plan on going to Lembongan Island after Amed then take the ferry from Kusamba - quick and easy. Staff will do all your bookings.

PortugalKubu Kangin has a great location, just in the middle of the jungle, but 2 minutes away from the beaches. Great option if you rent a scooter, so you can easily reach the best spots in Amed. The hotel is amazing, beautiful gardens and pool, everything really organized and clean. Room also great with wonderful decor decor and even the toilet is changing! Breakfast is amazing, well prepared always with fresh fruit. And for last, an amazing staff always ready to help you and make your holidays even better.

GermanyThe rooms are a bit dark but that was no Problem for us
Our best experience in Bali! From the start we were welcomed in the best way possible. The staff was very helpful and overall just perfect. We had a lot of fun talking with them, they made the experience a lot better. The room were a bit dark but very clean, spacious and the bathroom was amazing. It was very comfortable. The breakfast was great, there was a small menu but the dishes were delicious. I loved the omlet and the orange juice, the coffee was great too. Overall we loved this resort and the entire experience was great. I’d recommend this to everybody staying in Amed!
