Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaThe accommodation is in a delightful setting among rice paddies and vegetable gardens with distant lights and Balinese music from the surrounding hills. Two double rooms are upstairs overlooking the good sized and refreshingly cool swimming pool with the remaining accommodation in seven (from memory) villas scattered around the garden. There's a choice of two dining areas near the pool and upstairs rooms attached to the main building of the establishment. As pleasurable as it all was I would have preferred a less noisy air conditioner, a not so firm mattress and the pillows really need to have more resistant bulk. Also I look forward to the upgrade of the last section of road in.

RomaniaFrom the moment I arrived, it felt like stepping into heaven. The lush greenery, the impeccably maintained gardens, and the stunning views of the rice fields made for an unforgettable first impression. I stayed in a villa, and the experience was nothing short of perfect - sparkling clean, spacious, and with a beautiful patio to relax and soak in the surroundings. Putu and the rest of the staff were always there to help, offering assistance with everything from booking tours to organizing private yoga sessions at the villa for a very reasonable price. I highly recommend visiting Gembleng Waterfall and taking a guided rice terrace walk with a local - both were incredible experiences. Breakfast was delicious, with more variety than the standard options in Bali. The on-site restaurant serves lunch and dinner with a mix of Indonesian and international dishes, all fresh and full of flavour. I 100% recommend this villa - everything was perfect, and my only regret is that I only stayed for three nights in this green paradise. Would love to come back!

DenmarkBeautiful oasis in the middle of rice fields. Such a picturesque landscape to wake up to. So calming walking around the rice fields, getting glimpses of the daily life of the farmers. Cute armies of rice-ducks waddling around quacking. Staff was super nice and attentive and helped with both scooter rental and onwards transport. Even arranged early to-go breakfast packages for us, as we had ro leave super early on check-out day. Food in the restaurant was delicious. Thank you for a great stay!

United KingdomNothing - everything was perfect!
The location, the Villa and the staff are all amazing. The pool is gorgeous. Food at the on site restaurant is excellent and very well priced with a good choice of complimentary breakfast. Location is rural however the villa can organise motorbikes or drivers and Grab (car and motorbike) readily available. Sidemen silver is a lovely place to visit to make your own ring!! Cannot recommend this place highly enough - loved every minute of our 3 night stay!!!

Beautiful location directly in the rice paddies. Nice sunrise and sunset views. Delicious food including vegetarian options. Staff were very nice and helpful. Tried the local arak cocktail with honey which was great.

NetherlandsNot something the hotel can change or do anything about but its good to know that there are not as many transport options here as in the busier parts of Bali so a (rental) scooter or a hired driver is just about the only option to get around.
The staff were very friendly. The location was beautiful in the middle of the rice fields. There was a good selection of food for good prices (very good vanilla milkshakes). The rental scooters were quite new and comfortable to drive. The room/villa was a good size and also quite comfortable, ours included a private 'balcony' to sit on.

Kubu Sakian was in a beautiful location with extraordinary views from every angle. The hosts and staff were wonderful and really made us feel at home here. The accommodation and amenities were faultless and impeccably clean. It is so peaceful and a perfect place to unwind and forget about everyday life back at home. It is such a unique area, seemingly untouched by excessive tourism which is a large part of its charm. We would definitely visit again and highly recommend Kubu Sakian to anyone wanting a more authentic experience of the local area.

AustraliaThe road leading in to the Villa from town as it was rough and not maintained at all, making it dangerous in ride a bike on. There was nowhere to hang clothes in the room. even a few hooks would be nice. Some staff members service was not as good as others.
The ambience was great, peaceful walks in the morning. Pool was great

RomaniaThe food was really basic, could be improved. Since it’s quite far from Sidemen you need to go with Grab or walk about an hour (there is a trekking route thru the rice fields which worth to trie it).
The location, the view, the cottage, the pool, the staff, all exceed our expectations. The owner is very friendly and very implicated. We even go with him to the temple for a full moon ceremony and it was an amazing experience to understand the hindu ceremony and to feel like a local.

United KingdomNothing There was an issue with water when we were there but not really the hotel fault, just the infrastructure of the region are still to be developed.
The location of the villa is pretty special. This is beautiful and peaceful. The rooms are lovely. Just note that it can be quite hard to reach and if you don't drive a scooter you are quite far from the town.

TurkeyIts not exactly in Sideman, but in a village just outside, which you cant get a sense of on the map, but you have to go the long way around to get into sideman. But if you plan to rent a scooter like most people, its not an issue at all
Amazing service, very clean, very comfortable, and love the outdoor bathrooms. Beautiful and kind staff.
