Absolutely nothing - loved it all!

We loved everything about La Reserve. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, thoughtfully combining both Balinese and French styles. Our room (standard king) was gorgeous and very spacious. The reception, restaurant and house keeping staff were all wonderful and remembered every guest by their name, they also went completely over and above for my partners birthday by leaving him flowers, a card and a cake in our room. The pool is exactly as pictured, and the location in Pererenan suited us perfectly - it's a quiet part of Canggu that is clearly up and coming with cute boutiques, great restaurants and fun bars, and only a short 7 minute scooter ride from the buzzy centre of Canggu. The hotel has a grand yet boutique feel, and is perfect for a couple (there weren't any kids there during out stay).

Not really a negative but worth the mention. location isn’t the best when it comes to transport to and from the main areas of canggu. This wasn’t too much of an issue for us as we loved every minute we spent at the property.

beautiful bespoke property with a history. Great food. Friendly and attentive staff. good spa with reasonable prices. we hope they maintain or elevate their standards. look forward to staying here again.

Despite usually being very critical, this place deserves the 5 stars and high ratings. Gym or personal trainer could be offered, when requested.

- incredible, small and beautiful new boutique hotel with excellent service. - everything is well though through, rooms are well sized and nicely decorated. - breakfast service is welcoming and the spa treatments are great.

We had a great stay at La Reserve - the room was beautiful and the service was excellent. The team wede so friendly and made us feel instantly at home. The spa space is lovely and our hot stone massages were fantastic.

It’s a beautiful, peaceful oasis, perfectly designed, spotlessly clean, luxuriously comfortable and managed by the loveliest staff on earth - a special mention to Dina, who made my stay so very special with her kind attentiveness. Nothing seemed too much trouble, and I feel I did ask a lot! The whole team were absolutely wonderful, however. Breakfast and lunch are available, every dish I ordered was delicious with a well-balanced mix of flavours and nutritional value - furthermore, everything is presented with the utmost care and looks, as well as tastes, exquisite. There is also a divine spa at the hotel, which offers an excellent range of massage treatments with a delightful therapist called Sandi. To summarise: hard to imagine a more perfect hotel!

This 5 stars hotel is purely fantastic Words are not enough to express how beautiful this property is. Everything is perfect, every single detail of our suite to the restaurant, the main pool or the fantastic tropical garden. We had the chance to meet Laura the talented French architect, the history of the hotel is like reading a book of the 30'. Service and staff are providing a service comparable to any European palace, very attentive, discreet, and never intrusive. Breakfast in one of his kinds, we get in our lives. Fresh products, amazing caffe atte (like in Italia!!), eggs benedicts, and marvelous morning Bellini cocktails, We would like also to say that the buggy service provided by the hotel to their beach club La Brisa is so useful. everything was terribly perfect, We also had some perfect massages in the in-house SPA It makes our trip to Bali unforgettable This property is worth any cent you spend there. We do think it's under evaluate for what you get.

If the brief for Canngu’s new hotel was romantic, sophisticated and timeless yet somehow modern and contemporary, La Reserve truly nailed the assignment. The hotel which is almost like a small resort, is a tucked away and would cater to the most discerning traveller. There is a restaurant and bar and the rear of the property which overlooks a grand pool surrounded by comfortable day beds. We often spent our mornings and afternoons out here swimming, reading, listening to music and enjoying delicious food and cocktails. There is a ‘secret spa’ hidden in the centre of the property which offers a variety of services, we would highly recommend a Balinese massage. The hotel’s linked beach club is one of the best, La Brisa and the hotel staff will take care of the booking for you if you wish and arrange free shuttle transport to the venue. What really sets this hotel apart are the wonderful staff who clearly have such a love and pride for what they do. One of the nights we stayed, I was quite sick and the night concierge went to the pharmacy to pick up anti nausea meds and water for me (thankfully it worked and I felt 100% the following day). The Manager went above and beyond to look after us each day with activity and restaurant recommendations. He even drove us to dinner in the hotel buggy, a little embarrassing when we realised it was only a 5 minute walk! His warmth and generosity with his time was much appreciated. Our room was luxurious and was thoughtfully designed and decorated, even to the smallest touch of including gorgeous art in the bathroom. We booked the room with a pool which was a nice way to wake up each morning. We hope to come back soon!

The noise. The lobby plays the music fairly loud at night, so I had to ask reception to turn it down, which they did. I would recommend also have white noise machines in the rooms, to offset the birds in the morning.

The staff were very helpful! Having the golf cart service was convenient and I liked that the breakfast was included.
