Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe bedsheets were dirty upon our arrival and had to be changed. The toilet and bathroom were stained and dirty. There were no cutlery or utensils in the so-called kitchen. The beds were so creaky, it would wake us both up when one rolled over. The hallways were filthy and streams of ants everywhere. The cushion for the lounge chair on the balcony was filthy and stained. The sink tap didn’t work. The free breakfast was cold and below average so we ate breakfast elsewhere. The “100% pressed orange juice with no added water or sugar” looked and tasted so watered down it barely tasted like orange juice.
The pool was clean and a nice temperature. The beds were made and bins changed daily. The staff fixed the Wi-Fi when told it wasn’t working. The location is excellent.

NetherlandsBit dated and cleanliness can be better. They overbooked our reservation, so we didn't get what we booked for. Communication with manager was awful, didn't come with a proper solution of his own. To bad the first time back in 2016 we had a way better experience.
Location is great. The staff is wonderful/friendly.

RomaniaEven though we had a kitchen, it didn’t have any utensils, no plates/forks/knives. So it makes it useless if you don’t stay long term and buy them yourself. You have to say what you want for breakfast one day ahead, and at what time you want it to be served. If you don’t do that, you will not receive any breakfast. This happened to us 3 days in a row, when arrived late at night and didn’t have the chance to order the breakfast.
We really liked the privacy we had, being on level 1 nobody was crossing in front of our room. The room was really nice, having a nice terrace and a separate space to chill The location is perfect, in one of the busiest parts of Ubud, but still super quiet because it’s located on an alley.

UkraineWe paid for 3 nights ,but the next day ,they knocked on the door and asked to leave immediately cause check out should be done and another people are waiting. Then i showed receipt and it was sorted out, though i didnt see any people around for check in.On first day the water was not clear in the bathroom, almost black colour. The curtains are not clean. The breakfast is ok ,but every day you need to mention what time you would like to have it.If you dont mention time - you will not get it.I didnt feel privacy ,several times ive asked not to come and knock as my daugter got sick ,maybe of language barrier,i dont know. When i've asked for doctors number or thermometer -- all the time ,just sorry ,though the next day i guess the owner offered to drop us to hospital.I've asked about the iron ,cause it was mentioned in the booking ,got it only next day
The location is great On check out we could keep luggage on reception for a while

GermanyWifi, especially in prime times - so western timezones - are so bad, have to use mobile hotspots.
I cannot explain how the staff was! Balinese people are always kind but Lili Staff is extra! I always could easily communicate with them and they are so kind for every of my request. They took care of the room so good and clean the pool constantly. I'll definitely stay in Lili again!

TaiwanThe room is clean and tidy, with breakfast included. Overall, it is very good value. During the stay, I also met the long-term tenant David. David is a very enthusiastic, interesting and friendly person. I will still choose to stay here next time I come to Ubud

BrazilIt has a kitchen environment, but it does not have accessories to be used in the kitchen, such as pots and other utensils. The shower mostly, instead of running water underneath, was leaking from the sides.
Great location, good value for money, has a kitchen environment. The staff is always available and attentive.

SwitzerlandWe booked here because the pictures looked good and it got a good review but I don’t know how.. we came in the room and the first thing we saw is that the sheets are very old and dirty, the toilet has patches of black dirt that can’t be cleaned, the bed smells like it’s 100 years old and the noises that it makes just can’t be appropriate for someone to sleep in. We asked the owner of this place kindly to help us and find a solution but not only didn’t he help us he also talked disrespectful to us. It feels like the owner doesn’t care that the room looks and smells bad, and just wants to take your money and won’t help. Just a scam. we booked 3 nights but we left because it was horrible (and we are backpackers with low standards) but we didn’t got the money back. the owners words on the phone for us was: “I know that the room is dirty, *you can sleep in the streets* but you won’t get your money back”.
the only good thing was the staff. but he is a young boy and not the manager of the place so he is nice but can’t really help you.
