Netherlands-I rented a scooter that did needed some maintenance. -Also, but that is more a personal thing, most people come here to get a Bromo-tour so people get up at night or leave early in the morning, which made it hard for me to sleep.
The hosts are very nice and helpful. Location is also very good and they offer a lot of nice drinks and food.

United KingdomThe location is not very nice but close to the train station, one of the malls and the rainbow and blue villages.
All the staff are absolutely amazing, they are a young team always with a smile on the face and very supportive. We need to say a thank you to all of them but especially to Namira, she is excellent, she helped us with all the information and advices we needed to go to Bromo independently.They kept our luggages when we went to Bromo and on our last day.They are offering tours and we booked one with them for the waterfalls. The rooms are ok and the hotel is clean. The commun area is nice outdoor and indoor.

United Kingdomnot the best location sort of felt like we were in a more industrial part of town. very close to the rainbow village but a 30 min ish walk to centre. not too big an issue. thin walls so you hear others when trying to get sleep in the day for your preparation.
great hostel if you’re doing the Mount bromo and Tumpak sewu waterfall. full of lots of other travellers doing the same thing. staff were very accommodating and let us pay for everything at the end of the stay in one transaction.

Nam and Nuu are aaamazing receptionists, they aren't just super helpful with whatever you might need, but also very friendly and genuinely kind 😊. This gives a nice warm and homey vibe to the hostel, that's something really appreciated by a traveler... we even hang out one night and felt like friends in the end! Last but not least: comfy bed, clean and well maintained rooms and facilities; strategic location close to some attractions and local food stalls and night market. So if you are coming to Malang... don't think twice and book Mador hostel!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND Thank you again for everything and sampai jumpa lagi 😄✌️

Czech RepublicClean, calm haven just step away from rush dirty main road. Nice options for breakfast (not indonesian food!). The famed rainbow village is a few minute walk as well as night market with street food for dinner. They arrange tours to Bromo and Ijen, we took a tour to Tumpak Sewu and nearby waterfalls - just a car with driver, shared with up to 6 people, then you hike to waterfalls independently without a guide.
