Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SingaporeThe bathroom lighting was dim and the layout could be improved.
We stayed for 2 nights at Dagi Abhinaya #2 which had the best sunrise view of Borobudur at 4:30 am! Although we arrived slightly after 8 pm, Ms Astuti the receptionist arranged for us to be taken to the restaurant where they served us afternoon tea of brownie and a sweet pastry with coffee/ tea. Our dinner orders of fried chicken and rice were promptly whipped up by the restaurant. The staff waited patiently for us to finish our meal and drove us to Dagi Hill (5 mins away) and another staff stationed there carried our bags to the cabin. My son was happy to find his extra bed ready and tucked in quickly. Kudos to Astuti the receptionist who made sure that all our needs were attended to (from arranging the timing for breakfast, mini-bus pick up from Dagi to the restaurant) so that we made it right on time to the lobby at 8:30 am to get our tickets and slippers, and meet with our guide before taking the buggy to the temple entrance ( right across the restaurant) just before the 9 am ascent. Astuti also helped to arrange for a driver/guide to take us to Candi Selogriyo. On the way, Mr Widodo took us to experience a local resto that served getuk pisang (banana snack) and a batik art store that had awesome hand-painted Borobudur batik. On the 2nd day, we upgraded to a picnic breakfast on Dagi hill (with full view of Borobudur) and they served an exquisite dessert of pancake and palm sugar syrup sauce, assortment of fruits, rice with stewed beef in a weaved basket box, fish soup, whole coconut with bamboo straw and herbal drink. The meal was accompanied by soothing gamelan music, and we learned to play the congkak game. As we stayed 2 nights, we got to climb up the temple twice (tickets and guide included) and enjoy it thoroughly!

TaiwanDon't like the smell of mothballs and the sink tends to clog. The light is dim in the room.
Staff are all friendly and helpful. The view from the cottage is awesome. Price also includes breakfast, welcoming afternoon tea, unlimited ticket (and shuttle) to the ground of Borobudur and the first priority tour to the top of Borobudur with a guide. There's an extra option to have breakfast on the hill besides cottages with a sense of sunrise but the included breakfast at the restaurant is already abundant enough, and the place is even more closer to Borobudur.

TaiwanThis hotel is located in the Borobudur park. We stayed in a log cabin located on Dagi Hill. We can see Borobudur when we look out. The environment is very quiet and blends into the atmosphere of the park. The price includes tickets and tour guide, and the staff service is very good. Recommended to stay here if visiting Borobudur. Paying extra for Picnic breakfast in the morning is also a very worthwhile experience. If you are planning to visit Borobudur, this is the best place to stay.

ChileI didn’t like the fact that prior to booking, the information on their boking site, either official website or booking, is not accurate. It’s confusing that there are two Manohara Hotel areas, one was the villa area, which were under renovation, but pictures displayed on website are confusing, so on arrival at the hotel they explained us that the villa, the ones with the amazing view of the temple, were under renovation. They should be clear about is available to book or remove other pictures in order to not confuse costumers. Another issue is that the hotel in general terms has bad communication team, or press team, etc. As the example mentioned before about the availability of the room, also prior or after booking they never inform that the price of the room includes the ticket to go to the temple (at least at February 2024), which by the way are very expensive. As they give 2 free tickets for each person (site+climbing) in order to use them we still needed to buy an extra ticket for my children, so we totally ended up having 5 tickets for a total of 3 persons and the ones we purchased prior to the arrival at the hotel, we just couldn’t get refunded at the ticket office. Although, yeah… is it s benefit that the hotel gives you, they should inform this prior or after booking your room in order not to spend so much money on tickets that, personally, I think are way overpriced for what you finally experience at the tmeple. Informing this benefit that hotel gives you., is a great marketing point that will make more passengers to stay in this hotel…. I just don’t understand why they don’t inform this, and also they are aware of many passengers having this duplicity of tickets. Ask the hotel for your free tickets!!!!
The location is amazing, you are right next to the temple, inside the complex. Very easy to access. The hotel itself was nice in terms of layout and style. Great dining area with view to the temple and park surrounding.

SingaporeNo, there is nothing can complaints.
The hotel location is inside Borobudur area and very friendly desk. He really explained to us a lot even we were check in at 9;00pm. The hotel price including 1. afternoon tea 2. Ticket of 1 hour Borobudur tour (the next day can climb stairs) 3. Ticket can visit the garden of Borobudur 4. Breakfast.(don’t like us, check in at 9pm, miss the afternoon tea) I think is worth it, even though government is prohibit the activity of sunrise Borobudur (open at 9:00). This hotel provide very good experience and worth the hotel price. You can find peace in this hotel if you really like “Zen” atmosphere.(if you are similar traveler like me, I will recommend this place

We glad that we stayed two nights The Driver is a very reliable and skilled, picked up from airport, to Prambanan and other two temples, and dropped us back to Yogyakarta. Thank you very much . First of all, I contacted the hotel a few times to clarify some details, and the response was always fast and full. The staff is really gteat and willing to help here. The room is clean, it contains everything necessary. The terrace is so nice. The short way to the Temple is definatly a success
