The price for this hostel is very cheap so it is to be expected to be basic. The beds have lots of privacy and the hostel is clean. However, the aircon (in the room i was in) wasn’t hugely efficient and therefore there were a ton of mosquitos. There isn’t much of a communal area apart from some tables outside, but again, you aren’t paying for that. It’s comfortable but four nights was enough in my opinion.

There was no soap in washrooms so washing your hands was a bit of a pain. There was also a child who would lay on the outside couch all day and listen to TikTok’s on full volume so you didn’t get much time to feel at peace out there. Wifi was very spotty. Rooms weren’t mosquito proof either. I bought food to store in the fridge but it was getting unplugged often so most food that was out in the fridge spoiled

I visited Mellow Hostel at the last minute, hoping to find an available room, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The ceiling is higher so it feels spacious. The breakfast was enjoyable, and I appreciated that water, tea, and coffee were available anytime. The location is great, making it easy to get anywhere.

If the doors to the rooms/bathrooms are left open a lot of mosquitos come in the room and the aircon cannot do its job. I stayed in the 8 mixed bed room for one night and found that people were not diligent about keeping the doors closed so I ended up getting a lot of bites and waking up hot in the morning. This is not the hostel/host's fault at all though!

Would definitely recommend the 4 bed dorms. I stayed in the 4 bed female dorm and it was great. Very clean, comfortable beds with privacy shades and ensuite bathrooms. The aircon was strong and kept the room cool all night. The staff is incredible friendly and welcoming, they go above and beyond to make sure you are accommodated. It's in a great location-- less than a 5 min walk to all the restaurants/shops.

The bathrooms, the toilets didnt have water to flush :/ and there was no liquid soap avaiable for people to wash their hands. Hope they can fix this issue soon and then things owuld have been great!

staff was amazing! so nice and helpful. Breakfast was good and location was perfect! They offer turistic activities like surfing or day trips! they also helped me get a cheap taxi to airport. Super sweet people there.

In general it was fine. Sweet and helpful staff, basic but good breakfast. Around 5 minutes walk to the Main Street, 8 minutes walk to the beach. Great place but do not expect a lot of European standards :)

The beds were very comfy, and I was able to get a good night's sleep compared to some bunks in other dorms. There were different options for breakfast. The staff were super friendly and helpful. You could hire scooters for very cheap, cheaper than on the road and also transport to other places.
