Mirabelle Joglo Village for us was an absolute oasis, ten minutes away from town, set in beautifully landscaped gardens. The room was typical Javanese with a superb outdoor shower/bathroom and a lovely veranda to watch the sunrise. We enjoyed our stay so much we booked extra nights!…full kudos to Laurent & Etha for being star hosts and making our stay on Karimunjawa a truly memorable experience…merci bien!

Exceptional place that surpassed everything what we expected. Run by great, helpful hosts, with great sense of hospitality. Beautiful garden, very well maintained yet giving a feeling of floral maze. The javanese style wooden huts with terraces remind you that you are in tropical heaven. Everything is perfectly clean and taken care of. Very tasty breakfasts, we sticked to the indonesian version, didn't try the other 4 meals. Bet they are also worth trying. The cherry on top are the sunrises that kickstart your day, easily enjoyed from your cosy terrace. Hope we will come back here one day.

Third time we came back ! Well maintained and very clean villa. Laid back atmosphere. Good breakfast with various option to choose from. Free coffee, tea and water throughout the day. Good working and silent airco units. Situated only 5 minutes outside the village which will guarantee you a nice sleep and avoid an early wake up call ! Friendly and helpfull owners !

The villa has a separate wifi network from the other accommodations and it worked intermittently: the router signal was strong but most of the time there was no bandwidth. The wifi network for the rest of the grounds did work well but did not quite reach all the way to the villa and was only accessible when sitting in the front garden.

Mirabelle Joglo Village is beautifully located on the east coast of Karimunjawa, less than 10 minutes from the harbour where the ferry arrives from Jepara. There are different types of accommodation available. We had the villa which offers four bedrooms, a living room and a kitchen. Laurent and his wife have created something really quite beautiful here, in a wonderful mix of Indonesian and European style. The grounds are very well kept and everything has been designed and decorated with great taste and attention to detail. The villa offers a lot of privacy and comfort, indoors as well as on the veranda. Some of things we appreciated: - an open, well equipped kitchen, including a coffee maker, a rice steamer and complimentary tea and coffee - air conditioned bedrooms - an en suite bathroom for each of the four rooms - a mosquito net around every double bed - a washing machine - a beach less than a 10 minute walk away - a choice from five or so set breakfast menus at a very reasonable price, with Indonesian as well as western options. Laurent was very kind, helpful and knowledgeable about Karimunjawa. Amongst other things he organised taxis, food deliveries, a snorkeling tour and scooters. In short, we had a wonderful time!

Mirabelle Joglo Village is an oasis of peace and relax. Lovely rooms are clean and well equipped, immersed in a lush garden. Breakfast is delicious and has several options. Laurent and Etha are an amazing couple, helpful and kind. They make you really feel at home and they helped us with the scooter, the boat tickets and the snorkelling day. Highly recommended!!

Everything was just amazing. Whole place, location (nearby beautiful beaches and also city center with restaurants, fish market, massage, etc.). Besides cottage has a beautiful seaview, great bathroom and comfortable bed. Everything was super clean. Moreover the owners were super helpful and thanks to them the stay on the Karimunjawa overwhelmed our expectations..

The location is very quiet, and you can directly see the sea to the east when you live here. Take a few steps north to watch the sunrise. The village owner and proprietress warmly welcome guests and provide prompt service. There are five choices for breakfast, all of which are very delicious. The environment is very clean and comfortable, very suitable for long-term living.

What a wonderful paradise! Highly recommended to stay here! Laurent and his wife are super friendly and do everything to make your stay memorable, even if you have questions before you arrive. Tours and transportation can be booked directly here, as well as a laundry service is also offered. We truly would like to stay longer and it was sad to leave this beautiful place...

Really loved it here. The island is definitely off the beaten track and this is the perfect place to call home

As soon as we arrived we knew we'd made a great decision. After the travel it was this perfect oasis. Gorgeous gardens like everyone says. We are a family of 3, our daughter is 9 and we didn't even need a scooter. Able to walk to two beaches that were like playgrounds. Stayed 5 nights and felt so well taken care of. Did private snorkeling boat tour with the hotel and saw truly incredible coral garden. Brilliant sports massage too. Beds really comfortable, Wifi Super strong, even if electricity goes on the island they have a generator. Breakfast is really delicious, enough choice and so fresh. Laurent and his family create such a good vibe and they have super taste. Outdoor shower great pressure and able to sit on a beautiful veranda surrounded by flowers where we could see the sea and stars. Really really recommend this chilled out hotel

Laurent and his family are simply great. They can take care of everything, so that your only concern can be relaxing and enjoying the island. They helped us arranging all the transfers, the island hopping tour (AMAZING!!!), the laundry, beach towel rental, motorbike rental and even an in-room massage. All services were very good quality and at a reasonable price. We could enjoy a great sea view from our room and could see the sunrise every day if we wanted to. We also liked staying at the Mirabelle’s bar having a drink after a nice day around the island. Our room was very clean and nicely decorated. Plus side: Laurent and his wife are such nice people, very kind, discrete and helpful. 100% recommended! We had the best time!

Beautiful location, near beaches and macaques. Delightful comfortable bungalows, clean, lovely bathrooms and a sea view. Amazing breakfasts with even a vegan option. Laurent and family went above and beyond as hosts, helped with travel there, bike hire and snorkelling trip (which was amazing!) town and amazing fish market within reach.

Would 100% recommend staying here when in Karimunjawa. This place was very beautiful. We had a lovely relaxing time. Also the bedroom and bathroom was super clean. The hosts were very helpful and kind. Also the location is great. You can ride with scooter in 5 minutes to the centre where there are some small shops. Also going to sunset Bar is easy.. Thanks!

We had a very nice stay at Mirabelle! When we arrived we got all the information we needed and they made sure we had a nice stay. The room was very clean. They immediately fixed us a scooter where we could discover the beautiful island with. The boat left very early so we got a box with breakfast to eat on the boat. We would definitely come back!

The shower was cold. We should have booked a longer stay, it was worth it.

The communication with Laurent and his lovely wife was excellent. They arranged almost everything: the tickets for the boat, a taxi trip around the island. We booked the "Villa" (our company 4 persons) but it can easily accomodate 8 persons. The "Village" is built in a natural surrounding, in Indonesia style. A beach and a restaurant is on walking distance. Although not booked, Laurent brought us nice breakfast as a surprise. There is a bar, where you can get your own drinks. All over the property are places where you can sit and relax. Very romantic!

Nothing negative about this place!

Very beautiful place with the loveliest staff! Laurent and Ethi were really welcoming, hospitable, flexible and helpful. Laurent offered a lot of information about the island and helped us out a lot. The bungalows are very beautiful, clean and modern, and from our window, we had a perfect view on the ocean. Mirabelle offers some really nice services, such as breakfast, laundry, massage, and scooter rental. Also, Laurent is very helpful to organize any activities you would like to do in Karimunjawa, such as snorkeling and hiking trips. The town centre is a 5-min scooter ride away. The place is a beautiful bungalow village on a paradise island, and the welcoming staff makes it perfect!
