Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaThe property is a long way from busy street scene, station etc. Not many places to eat at night within walking distance. A grab or taxi is required to do almost everything. Hard to locate for some drivers.
Beautiful setting. Clean room. Free tea and coffee stand outside.

IndonesiaThe attention given by staff members as I have mobility problems. I will return to this hotel and will recommend it to my friends. Any institution who cares how the render services to their customers or clientele warrants a well deserved reputation.

SingaporeThe toilet wasn't that great. We had trouble with the toilet bowl flush from time to time but was able to live with it.
The staff were really helpful with the check in and managed to even get in contact with a laundry service! They were very responsive on their whatsapp too! The location was great as it was just outside of Maliboro and there was an amazing local food eatery just outside the homestay!

IndonesiaLocated in a quiet area but yet very close to city center and most tourist attraction. It is a nice place, clean and tidy. There is nice garden too. I'd definitely stay at Naimo Jiwo next time I am visiting Jogya

PolandNo breakfast, room lacks second bed side table and small table lamps. Could use some kind of bench to put luggage or backpack on.
Nice and cozy spot in one of the back alleys. Peaceful and quiet, which was super nice after whole day of walking around busy streets of Yogyakarta. No shops around, two restaurants around the corner. Must try lotek/gado-gado nearby.

NetherlandsThat being said, the negatives outweigh the positives by a big margin. Hence, the low rating. Overall, the room is outdated to such an extent it became a rather huge disappointment. To start things off, the mattress is horrible and old, and should be replaced ASAP. We saw and felt the inner springs through the matras. Because of this, we woke up more than once each night with sore parts of our body, where the springs would sting through the matras. Needless to say, we woke up every morning feeling exhausted. Additionally, the bedlinen was old, and stains were visible. Same for the towels. Besides the mattress, the bathroom needs to be renovated. The tiles were dirty, the showerhead was broken to the extent that it would cut you when you put your hand on it. Not to forget that it is covered in paint (why?). The water pressure is very low. Still, the whole bathroom, including the toilet, got fully wet due to there being no shower curtain. Furthermore, the is no air circulation, trapping the steam in the bathroom, making it damp and smelling. Overall, the hygiene is not good either. Altogether, we would recommend Naima Jiwo to literally no one. We had better hostels and even hotels on Java for a lower rate than Naima Jiwo's rate of €27,50 per night. Naima Jiwo has the potential to be a great accommodation for travelers who wish to discover Yogya. However, it should be renovated dramatically.
Over the five nights, we stayed at Naima Jiwo, we have come to dislike the place, sadly. However, there were some positives. Mainly, the staff was welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Not a bad thing to say about the staff, such lovely people. Also, Naima Jiwo is located in a quiet street in the middle of Yogya. No traffic passes by due to it being located at the end of the road, which is a big plus. Yet, almost all taxi drivers were able to find Finally, the aircon worked fine, kinda.
