The major drawback is the location; it’s only a 5 minute drive from sidemen but it is a 20 minute walk uphill and there aren’t many restaurants near the villa. You can order from the associated restaurant but it took 1.5hrs for the food to arrive after ordering. Thankfully, the complementary breakfast ( which is made at the same restaurant then delivered to the villas) took about half an hour to arrive, so not too bad. The only other things is that even with the sliding doors fully locked, there is a small gap between them which can let in insects. We took to wrapping a shirt around the handles to reduce the gap as the mosquito net is rather useless as it’s open at the top. Even using mosquito spray I got a couple bites during the night but my partner was fine

Spacious room and bathroom with a bath, and the pool was directly outside our villa. You could watch Netflix and YouTube on the TV, and there was a vanity where I could get ready and do my makeup. The view from the pool was also incredible, as it overlooked the river and you could see rice fields in the distance. Really lovely staff were waiting for us upon arrival, and even held onto our bags for us at the end of our stay while we went to a silver class next door

Should be clearer that the pool is a shared one. On booking.com it seemed there was an own pool to the accomodation.

There was a minor hiccup when I was checking in. The staff had given the room I booked to another guest who was also checking in. They were giving him the option to decide move to his originally booked room or stay in my room, and that rubbed me the wrong way because why should he get a choice. The staff could make up the confusion to him in some other way, while not potentially leaving me upset. His wife came and she asked me what I wanted to do and I said I wanted my room because I had specifically picked the one near the pool and closer to the river. She said okay and the staff still came to me and said that I would spend one night in their room then move to mine the next day. I said no, the wife and I have talked and that is not what we decided. And the staff proceeded to say “but the husband wants that room.” This legit pissed me off because it just seemed like some sexist BS. But ultimately the wife had gone to tell him they were going to their original room so it worked out. In the future, this type of mixup really should be avoided because I was on the brink of being very angry. In the end, it worked out and the rest of my stay was great. So they still get a high rating from me.

It was so nice being next to the river. The sunrise in the morning was so beautiful and looking out at the trees, and heading the river from bed was just really lovely to wake up to. Renting a scooter was super simple and easy, they also assisted with getting me more petrol. The pool was nice to swim in both during the day and in the evening. Breakfast was good. I also ordered dinner one night and it came relatively quick and was yummy.

Generally in Indonesia the only way to get around is by car / motorbike. Sadly if you do not want to be remote this means staying somewhat close to a street. 60 meters behind the villas is the street. Sometimes you hear a car or motorbike pass by. It absolutely did not harm the stay, but it is noticeable and the only critic point I can bring up.

The food in the location is just superb. Absolute gorgeus breakfast with nasi campur, nasi goreng and mee goreng options including vegetarian and vegan variants. The room and the pool are super clean and comfy. The view into the greenery and river makes the location almost perfect.

I recently stayed at Uma Swari Sidemen and overall, it was a lovely experience. The location is fantastic, offering stunning views of the mountain river, which created a serene atmosphere. However, I did encounter a downside: the water heater in the villa was quite small. Unfortunately, there was only enough hot water for about a third of the bath, which was a bit disappointing. Despite this issue, the beauty of the surroundings made my stay enjoyable.

Location is so beautiful, with a river view. It’s brand new, complete with the kitchen’s equipment. The staff is very accommodating, they help me to fixed my motorbikes. Thank you for your service and hospitality, very recommended!

The property location is right on the river which is superb. You need a scooter to get around or you’ll be walking for a while but that was not an issue for us and we loved the location.

Stayed 3 nights and my only regret was not staying longer.

I spent 3 weeks travelling the islands staying 3 nights in each accommodation - all in a similar price range, and this property was a standout. Beautiful room, comfortable bed, great air conditioning, nice bathroom with good water pressure, beautiful staff, great food - and the list goes on. Best of all was sitting on the veranda and looking at the views. River below the room and a view of the ever changing Mt Agung. So very peaceful that I regret not staying longer. As a solo female traveller, I felt very safe walking around. Many tracks through the beautiful rice paddies. If you are looking for a place to stay where you want to completely unwind, this property would be a great choice.

The only thing that made our staying not as comfortable as we hoped - noise. Villas are located near the main road, so when you close the door of your villa, all you can hear is traffic and construction sounds. At night it is quieter, bet everyday we were woken up around 5-6 am because of the traffic (even though we slept with ear plugs) and during the day we could not rest comfortably inside.

Villa ant the view from the pool were beautiful. Staff - always friendly and ready to help with the smallest problems.

Facilities are good, it's clean, the swimming pool it's only share by two rooms which made it kind of private, the rooms was big and comfortable. We rent a scotter and it was really good. The location is good.

We recently stayed at Nana’s Riverside Villa and absolutely loved it! The location was stunning, with beautiful views of the river that created a peaceful atmosphere. The villa itself was beautiful , clean, and cozy, providing all the comforts we needed. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making our stay even more enjoyable. Breakfast is delicious and served directly at your room with incredible views. Highly recommended!

Construction noise from the neighbouring property.

I loved the property’s peaceful location by the river, along with its convenient proximity to restaurants. The food was delicious, and the staff was exceptional, going out of their way to ensure we were comfortable throughout our stay. Highly recommend!
