Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe location is a little rural, which I didn’t mind personally, but it’s a little far from any restaurants if you’re walking, absolutely fine if you’re happy to get Grab or rent a bike though!
Such lovely hosts, I had a very comfortable stay here, I had an amazing stay and felt very safe. I also took the art class and Nano was so patient and lovely with me, I learned a lot! Highly recommend.

VietnamI would have loved a proper kitchen to make something real quick when I wanted. But the host lent me the kettle to make noodles so it was nice still!
The hosts were very kind, friendly and helpful. They have different kinds of activities for you to join if you want to. I tried the sunrise trekking tour and it was totally worth it! If I had stayed a bit longer, I would have joined the offerings making as well. The room was clean and I have my own balcony overlooking the village, very peaceful, especially to watch sunrise and sunset.

AustraliaSomething to take into account, specially if you are a light sleeper, is that the roosters will probably wake you up at 5 am crowing next to the room. The bathroom was tiny so be ready to get everything wet when taking a shower. Anyway, the water pression was good.
Our experience at Nano Ari Homestay was delightful. I would like to highlight the amazing service provided by the staff. We had a series of requests throughout our stay, and they were always very efficient and willing to help us. In addition, the room was cozy and the bed was big and comfortable.

Hong KongWell everything is great except the water pressure from the shower head could have been a little bit stronger. And the chicken from the neighbour's house was excited days and nights but it's nothing Wayan and Ani could control. And I wasn't bothered much. Other than these, everything was perfect.
Wayan and Ani are super friendly and hospitable! They were willing to help anytime, and taught me how to make the Balinese offerings! The area was a bit remote but incredibly relaxing calming my anxious mind. I bought another flight ticket just to stay here longer! The air was sweet in that area.

LithuaniaEverything was perfect for me, but if you are light sleeper, there are alot of dog and animal noises in the morning so be prepared to wake up with roosters 😉
Nano and his wife are so warm and friendly. If you want to learn about Balinese culture, host will gladly tell you all the things you are curious about. They even let me join their offering making, which was so special. The room is kept super clean, cozy, there is some nice Balinese art in the room to enjoy. Bed is very comfy and shower is perfect, which I struggled to find at other properties. No mold ☺️ there is a balcony terrace to enjoy the views of the nature. I loved staying here and would definitely come back.

United StatesI made a special request to arrive early, which was allowed. I also had a watermelon and asked to borrow a blender, but the owner instead cut it up and made a juice for me. In my opinion he took extra good care of me and I really appreciated the treatment. The place was quiet, felt safe, perfect for my last night in Bali.

FranceThe homestay is a little far from Ubud but it's less hectic and is easily reached by scooter (15-20 min).
The couple running the homestay is very helpful, they offer different services and activities, as well as food. I had a lovely time at Nano Ari Homestay.

This was a top-notch homestay with lovely people - Nano and Ani were so kind and helpful and I extended my stay here as I was enjoying the homestay and the area so much - Keliki is great for art. I wanted to be out of Ubud somewhere more peaceful and traditional and this was perfect. Really recommend.

RussiaA great place to stay, Nano and Ari are wonderful people who will always help. The room is good, the bed is comfortable and large. There is a store nearby, Nano can take you to a good restaurant which is 7 minutes away, where you can have a tasty and inexpensive meal, so swim in the pool and enjoy the view and live music during the day. GermanyNano and Ari are lovely people. The house is just gorgeous. The homestay is located in a small village, you can rent a scooter at Nano's to reach the city of Ubud - or just take a grab. Beautiful landscape around beyond compare. Nano also took me to a befriended family to show me a traditional Balinese household. Take this chance to get to know Bali from the other, non-touristic side! If you want to, you can also take traditional Balinese art classes from Nano. I will definitely come back at my next stay in Bali.

Belgiumlocated more in a rural village, so there were quite a few roosters waking us up early in the morning. BUT the hosts provided earbuds to deal with that.
Great nice people: they were very helpful in renting a scooter, giving advice on what to visit / where to eat, helping us to get our laundry done. The location is a bit less convenient: not quite near the centre of ubud, but then again it was a bit more quiet and less touristy, which was nice. Still a great spot to visit the surrounding activities in ubud by scooter.

GermanyA bit outside of Ubud, you should be ok with hearing roosters. Trip to Mount Batur was extremely overrun, but still a great sunrise.
Nano is extremely nice! His wife was also very kind but couldn't really speak english. He showed us the art school where he's teaching students and explained us a lot about it. Very interesting and very beautiful art! The food was great! Room was clean and comfy.

I really enjoyed my stay. The room was very comfortable and clean. The view from my terrace was beautiful. Nano and Ari are very friendly. They were kind enough to invite me to a traditional cultural ceremony. Ari is a great cook. Nano took the time to explain Balinese religion and culture. I would definitely stay again.

AustraliaSome nights the village roosters go off all night and it can be challenging if you are a light sleeper. The town is not the best location for general holiday needs.
The hosts were very kind and supportive. They have a very welcoming energy. Often asking if we needed anything or wanted our rooms cleaned. Lovely people.
