Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Bathroom could be updated. We also struggled a bit to sleep here, due to wildlife outside. Everything else was perfect!
Lovely stay! The facilities and staff are great. They have a shop onsite, and bike rental opposite.

Nanuk's was a great location, friendly & helpful staff. Right on Tamarind beach and close to lots of great warungs. It is a lovely, peaceful and relaxing place to stay and would certainly recommend and be back to stay again. The Bungalows are gorgeous. Thank you 🙏

Check in was smooth and arrival drink was lovely. The pool and staff were amazing and the area was quiet but not far from places to eat, beach and massages!

It was more of a glamping experience than a resort experience. I actually did like this relaxed atmosphere and the fabulous staff more than made up for it. I was surprised at the very steep steps from the bathroom up to the bedroom, they were not very practical!
The staff were very friendly and warm, and nothing was ever a bother. The pool was always well maintained and very pleasant. We felt like part of the family.

Place is a bit run down and needs modernisation. Shower was bad and no hot water the whole time we stayed.

All the people who work here are very friendly and helpful. It is down a quiet lane and there are a couple of lovely resaurants next door but you are also a 5/10 minute walk from a very busy, lively touristy bit with more places to shop and eat. Pool is small but good enough to have a cooling dip in.

We didn’t realise the bungalow only had a straw roof so bugs got in to the room easily, but they do provide mosquito nets to counter this. The bed was very hard, and a lot of maintenance needed (balcony door didn’t shut, very old bathroom)
We had a good stay at Nanuks, the property is small and feels homely with the lovely staff who are always available to help with anything you need.

I know the place doesn't have control, but way too many screaming kids. Seemed like a kindergarten at times Impossible at times to relax. No restaurant in the evening. No.hot water.
Location close to Mushroom Beach and restaurants and massage shops. Breakfast was good. Bed comfortable. Good air conditioning. Room made up every day

The staff were so helpful and friendly. The breakfasts were yum. Easy to walk to shops and restaurants. We were able to hire a scooter from reception.

Ceilings in rooms were not cealed and mosquito's got in at night. The stairs were quite steep and dangerous.
