The room, bathroom and showers were amazing and clean. The bed was comfy and for a dorm it was very private. One of my favourite dorms in my 6 months of travelling. The breakfast was also amazing, best Porridge ever. Would definitely go again.

It is directly next to the very busy road. You get earplugs and in the end I did sleep well, but keep that in mind. The "room" (indeed a bed with a small wall and a curtain as a door) is pretty small and there is not much space to put stuff.

Very friendly place with cute dogs and everything you need. Yummy breakfast and a nice garden to sit in. Close to the botanical gardens.

Die to the proximity of the road you will hear the traffic, ear plugs recommended (they were offered by hostel owner)

Nice host and friendly staff, beds are big and comfy with two pillows, socket next to the bed, lockers available, great food, real Pizza oven, super clean bathroom facilities.

Great place, but can be very loud

I think I was very unlucky, as I read other reviews that were overwhelmingly positive, and maybe there was a festival the night I stayed. It was a Thursday. The night I stayed, there were loud, constant fireworks until almost 2 AM, making it impossible to sleep until that time. I had planned to get up early so was in bed at 9 but then was continuously awoken by the sudden, very loud fireworks. Worse, at 5 AM the mosque across the street broadcast an extremely long, loud call to prayer. I have lived in Muslim countries before so am used to this, but this mosque's call was both very loud and very long, 10-15 minutes, a stereo projected directly into the area with the bedrooms. Maybe this is usual in Indonesia, but I didn't experience anything like it anywhere else in Bali. It was impossible to get a good night's sleep, and my plans for the next day were significantly impacted. I don't think this is a regular occurrence or other reviews would reflect it, and I feel very bad to leave a negative review, but I had an overall negative experience here. Also, the rooftop needs a warning sign or padding for the unexpectedly low ceiling when descending, as it's easy to bump your head.

Very kind, helpful staff. A very interesting, beautiful place, a fusion of hostel and hotel. You have your own very comfortable bed and locker in a large shared room, but have complete privacy due to heavy dividing curtains. Great location for activities in the area, a fantastic base for hiking or going to the lake or driving around. Cool views from the roof and gardens. Close to lots of stuff, beaches and mountains and the central market.

    Leaving this beautiful retreat.

Booked for 1 night without expecting anything. Warm welcoming from Elena, who explained to me what's around to visit and when to go to avoid busy times. This place is so unique and so relax, the whole staff is friendly and will do anything to make you feel more comfortable. The beds are super comfy, the bed sheets spotless clean with a fresh flower smell as you wish. There's a woodfire pizza oven, real Russian tea, handmade pancakes for breakfast and much more!! A near 24hrs kitchen, you name it. I finally extended my stay as I couldn't leave, so peaceful I felt. I loved this place, and I will go back!! Thanks Elena!!

It’s intimate backpacker style, so if you want more secluded bedroom accommodation then pop in to check it out first.

If you’re looking for backpacker style accommodation, this place is for you. Elena (I hope I’ve spelt that correctly) is such a fabulous and kind host. Her cooking is awesome! I stayed 2 nights and within a few hours I felt like part of her little Bedugul family. Roman and Choma were super friendly and I feel like I’ve made three new friends. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, if a little on the small side. Washing and toilet facilities are spotless. Chakra has a big dining/entertainment area, a chill out room and an open roof top to watch the sun come up over the hills.

There was nothing I didn't like.

Elaina and the staff were all lovely and so helpful. Elaina couldn't have done more to make us feel comfortable, at home and relaxed. The food was also great and included local and international dishes. It was made using filtered water, so the salads are safe to eat. They have their own pizza oven too! There is also filtered water available either hot for tea or coffee or cold for drinking. Each bed is in a separate compartment with either a wooden door or curtain over and each has a good sized locker and key allocated.

I recently stayed at Elena's and had a fantastic experience. The location is perfect, being close to both the Ulun Danu Bratan Temple and the beautiful botanical garden. The rooms are very comfortable, especially for backpackers, providing all the necessary amenities. The hotel offers warm water, a nice little restaurant, and a really cool rooftop. The staff is really helpful and always ready to assist with anything you need. I highly recommend Elena's for a great stay!

I highly recommend this place to stay. Unfortunately I get sick in my trip here in Bali and the staff and my roomates were super super sweet and nice, they care of me those days and ask me if I was good or if I need something all the time. Really good people working here. 😊 The food is delicious and the place is beautiful close to the temple, also they have things you can use in your stay like shampoo, cream... Thanks

Stayed one night here and enjoyed the piece and quietness. I walk both to the Botanical Garden and the Ulun Danu temple. A fruit market is also close by. The owner helped me rent a scooter with a local guy which I had for 5 days driving around Munduk and Lovina. The food is really good and tasty! In the room you get a big bed and your own locker with a key. There are hot showers and many bathrooms just outside the dorm. The house dog had some 8 cute puppies when I was there and I got to cuddle with them a bit!

It can get quite noisy as it´s located directly at the main road. So bring ear plugs for the night. A kitchen for self-catering would have been nice.

I know its nothing about the hostel, but I did not like the environment. Very loud near to the street and no nice Warung near that place. Just not a place to stay for some more days for my taste.
