Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaHad a fantastic stay at Nirwa. The family is exceptionally warm and welcoming. The breakfast each morning was splendid. Will be coming and staying again next time. The walk that people mention isn’t actually that far and is great because it keeps all the busy motorbike traffic away from the room, keeping it calm and peaceful. The grounds are gorgeous and feel’s like a sanctuary from the busy town.

United StatesStaying at Nirwa 1 Guest House was a wonderful experience. We enjoyed getting to know the warm and friendly family. It was a very quiet location, but minutes away from the main downtown area of Ubud. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the breakfasts were delicious!

IndiaIf they would have had the food options , it would been really very helpful as one has to go out to have their lunch & dinner every time , but nevertheless one can always book the food through Grab Or eat nearby.
Would you like to stay in a place surrounded by Rice Fields , Have a loving Hospitality , Cheaper Price , Spacious Room , Passion for Art , then blindly book this place .The fact that Sri & her family are really nice when it comes to serving the guest . I did see many other properties but my heart said book over here , so glad that I stayed here for 4 days & I am determined to come back for a longer stay next time . The house keeping staff who is such a sweet lady who came to pick my luggage & show me the way while checking In . She is just too good . My Laundry was also done nicely & I am happy with the same .The Place popularly called Rice fileds is filled with many art shops where you will find many Paintings in Ubud . Good to have a walk with your loved ones in the natural surroundings . The only issue with this Hotel is they don't serve you food apart from their breakfast so you will have to have lunch & dinner outside which you will find nearby .Ubud is such a lovely place to move around & spend your time . Do come to have a relaxing Getaway over here. Thank you NIRWA & TEAM FOR THE WARM & LOVING HOSPITALITY.

United StatesNirwa guesthouse is such a warm, lovely, family-run place!! It felt like coming home. The location is wonderful- close to town and perfect for an early morning rice paddy walk out the back gate. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Ubud!

NetherlandsPrice-quality is very good. It is basic! But you pay for that.. Rooms have different views!! Some are nicer then the other. Check with owner before you book.
This is a homestay, not a hotel! I stayed here for one week. All good! Lovely family and great staff. Calm. I loved the area..!! Far away from busy Ubud.

ChinaMmm nothing really
The guesthouse is in the city center but tucked in the rice field which makes it perfect to retreat in calmness while also stay connected to the city. Rooms are spacious and clean, very simple which also help with grounding. The staff is super friendly, always welcoming you home with a big smile. The place feels charged with alot of positive energy. I loved it !

United StatesThis is an exceptional place. The family was very welcoming and kind and the home is beautiful and comfortable. The breakfast was very nice, and I met lovely people there. The location cannot be beat. It is right next to rice fields, giving it a very calm atmosphere and also a very short walk away from several temples and museums. I cannot recommend this place enough! I'm grateful to the family for sharing it with me.

United KingdomNothing really.
Nirwa's is a typical Balinese household compound with the family staying in their own rooms alongside the guest rooms. The family temple, ceremony house and kitchen are within the compound. The back door leads out into the rice fields which lead onto lovely cafes and art workshops in the paddy fields. You are only 300 metres from the Ubud main road and the walk to Ubud palace is 10 minutes. The family make you part of their own. All guests were part of the family's ceremony of the first grandchild's 3 month ceremony and were invited to join the family for the celebration lunch. The breakfast was great and the washing/ironing facility was very handy. If you are looking for an immersive Balinese experience with easy access to all places in Ubud, look no further, this is it!

New ZealandLoved it all!
The family and the place was amazing, there is nothing I could say that was bad about the place. The location was perfect for getting just out of the noise and chaos of the Main Street, but only being 5 minutes away. The owners are so friendly and helpful, we booked our tickets to the Gilis through them, with an all in one transaction booking including transport and ferry. Recommend!!!

United StatesIt is a 250m walk up from the road, part of which is a steep and only an issue for us because we were with my elderly mother. I think this should be clearer in the description of the property. The family helps transport the luggage so getting your bags up to the property is not a problem.
Rooms and bathroom were very clean and beds were very comfortable. It was so quiet and peaceful with the rice fields right next to the guesthouse. Breakfast was great and the family was so friendly.
