Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyAn oasis of peace, completely secluded from the outside world, in a forest with rice terraces, run by Dewi and her fantastic team. The open kitchen was an absolute dream. Both breakfast and dinner featured freshly prepared Balinese dishes that were so delicious. Even dessert was always something special. Kudos to the cook. By scooter, you could quickly reach the temple above or the nearby residential area with shops and restaurants. The impressive rice terraces of Jatuliwah can be reached in about 20 minutes. I can recommend it 100%.

FranceWonderful place, with nice and welcoming people, Putu has been amazing explaining us may wonderful things about the surroundings, the jungle, Bali. We took a half day trip with him in the jungle, and to visit Batukaru temple. This experience was really nice and we all enjoyed it, discovering nature, history, meditation and somehow traditional life here in Bali. We really recommend the place and the tour. Many thanks to Devi, Putu and the team.

If you are even slightly interested in nature, you will love this place. It was full of plants that I had seen for the first time in my life. It was a wonderful experience for me and especially my father. The fruits they serve for breakfast are picked from the garden right in front of your eyes. The employees were very polite. We couldn't meet him, but the host Dewi was always in touch with us. The food was very delicious. We ate different things from Indonesian cuisine every day. We stayed in the middle of nature. We woke up in the morning with the sounds of birds. clean air. In the morning, they put flowers and incense everywhere as per Hindu tradition. The beautiful scent of this makes you feel good. We even planted pineapples when we left.

SingaporeAll good.
It’s a charming and well-maintained lodge. The grounds are beautiful and it’s a delight seeing all the organically grown fruit and vegetables within the grounds. It was very peaceful and a true place to unwind. Communication was top notch from the moment we made our booking through to check in and check out. The staff were super-helpful and spoke a good standard of English. I highly recommend Oemah Tepi Sawah.

This accommodation offers an adventurous journey amidst deep greenery! If you are looking for something special, then you have found it here. Unique, loving nature, super loving and helpful team (Dewi, Putu..). They helped me with my arrival and also with my departure (organized a cab back to Ubud). It was heavenly, the wooden hut is very special, you can tell by the way it looks.

IndiaEverything was as per our liking and expectations :) The owner Dewi was kind enough to share detailed instructions of what to expect before we arrived.
We had a wonderful family 4 dsys stay at a Oemah Tepi Sawah. Surrounded by lush rice fields it offers serene escape from the busy world. The locally made breakfasts and dinners were a treat, especially the Dadar gulung and chicken Sate. A special mention to our friendly driver Roi, who doubled as a guide, sharing cultural insights and helping us discover hidden gems. He even took us to local shopping centers where we bought some lovely traditional Balinese outfits. The peaceful location, delicious food, and warm hospitality made our trip truly unforgettable. Highly recommend this gem for anyone visiting Bali! Sleeping in to crickets chirping and toads croaking felt lively and amazing!!

The breakfast and the diner are perfect, good and generous indonesian food, home-made with love and everyday different and surprising. And above all, all the staff is so kind. AustraliaNothing. Everything was perfect
It has been my second time at Oemah Tepi Sawah. The best place I stayed in Bali. I didn’t want to leave it. The location is quiet, great around rice fields and jungle, the team is so lovely. I have done most of the activities they offer and I really enjoyed as you go always with a local guide providing information about their culture. This time I also helped Dewi (the owner) with the English classes for the kids in the village, it was very special. We had a great time! The food is delicious, I enjoyed every breakfast and dinner. This place is perfect for you if you want to immerse in the Balinese culture and the real Bali! Thank you Dewi, Putu and the rest of the team. I’ll come back!

IndonesiaNone. We love everything about this place. From the early communication before we came until the very end. Thanks for having us, will definitely come back! Astungkare 🙏🏼🙏🏼
We stayed in the only two bedroom villa at Oemah Tepi Sawah to celebrate my birthday. It was the most amazing birthday I've had for years! For all I had hope for, was to spend some time in the nature, the quiet part of Bali, and Oemah Tepi Sawah was the perfect place for me. We spent two nights and everything was perfect. From the homecook meal they served during breakfast and dinner, unto the grounds itself which was surrounded by rice paddies and tropical jungle. Not to mention the staffs were exceptionally friendly and helpful. They are very polite to the guests including us who are actually local Indonesian. They spoke other languages like Dutch and English, and I have to give my hats off to ibu Dewi who is the owner of Oemah. We had a nice conversation on the last day we were there, and was very helpful in providing us information about the Subak Coffee (local grown coffee that was grown around the area). We would definitely come back, as we are nature lovers. Read the reviews before you book this place, don't expect a 5 star a hotel experience in the city. This place is for you to getaway from the craziness in the city, and be one with the nature!

NetherlandsOemah Tepi Sawah is such a gem in Bali. If you want to experience non tourist Bali and some beautiful nature and serenity this is the place for you! So happy we stayed here and did a great jungle tracking (didn’t see one tourist). Although we still have some time left in Indonesia, we certainly believe that this will be the most memorable place we stayed. Dewi and her staff (shoutout to amongst others Putu, Iluh (thank you for the great massage 😍), Mika (best chef 🍚), Agus and Kadet (perfect jungle tour guide 🌱).They are all so caring and sweet and made us feel at home, thank you!!! Dewi has a beautiful garden with so much fresh fruit and vegetables. Such a better experience than another typical resort! We will definitely visit again when in Bali.

IndonesiaHaving the bathroom outdoor and steep (but short) downstairs needs extra precaution for those sleepyheads who needs to pee late at night. This is not an issue for me but maybe for some.
One of the best secret hideout in the island. Lovely, authentic, gracious host. Yummy organic local snacks / desserts. Great team. They are supporting circular economy by introducing local’s crafts & shopping ingredients locally. Heavenly location / spot. Wish all Bali’s hotels have mindset like theirs.
