Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsThe comments about unused potential have a point. There is a lot more you could do with the place. The odd misunderstanding (breakfast order, taxi booking, etc), but not more than we encountered in other locations in Indonesia. Wifi is poor if you have a cottage halfway between reception and the restaurant. TV channels were hardly working.
The location is good, it's right at the beach and through the beach walkway you can reach many restaurants and the newly opened Icon Bali mall very easily. The main road is also close by with again restaurants, shops and the large supermarket Artesana. The people at the restaurant and in housekeeping are very friendly and open to a little chat. We experienced the front desk as somewhat more distanced and more difficult to connect to. Breakfast is simple but fine, and it's great to have the sea view while enjoying your coffee. The room (we stayed in the family cottage) were fine, maybe a little basic if you're used to major western chains, but very charming and characteristic in their own right.

AustraliaOur bed was two single beds put together which is fine but the bases were squeaky. Time for new bed bases. Also the mattresses were a bit too firm for our liking.so were the pillows. The rubbish bin on our verandah had rubbish in it when we arrived and it still wasn't cleaned 4 days later when we left. Towards the end of our stay there was an odour coming out of the bathroom. The cottage we were in needs an upgrade.
Location, large room and the friendly staff.

The property was a lovely very traditional Balinese style. The photos do not do it justice ie. better in real life. Facilities in the bungalow area were great especially if you wanted to cook at the hotel with a group. We were allowed to check out a bit later too. Location was great and I would highly recommend.

AustraliaI felt the rooms were a little run down. Especially the bathrooms. No breakfast inclusions and no dinner options were disappointing. But being in such a great location it was super easy to eat out.

AustraliaThe pools aren't that exciting but they're also totally fine. But if you're into really exciting swimming pools, then this one is not the place for you. Also worth noting - there isn't much going on in terms of a restaurant here at the hotel itself (though in theory they do make food, but people rarely eat here) -- so it's advised to eat elsewhere for all meals (this is not hard to do, there are so many options very nearby). The only thing I really struggled with was the sliding bathroom door which didn't run well on the tracks, but that's such a minor thing, honestly.
We are a family, 2 adults 2 kids and we got a family room, which allowed us to have a slightly different space from the kids -- there's a space for 2 single beds, and a place for a King or Queen bed -- it worked pretty well. More spacious and easy than other family rooms we tried on this trip. There's an outdoor space with a table, and a drying rack. We loved how quiet and laid back this place was -- because it's only 3 star and not that popular, there's this very chill feeling about the place, you can come and go as you please, no one hassles you, it's peaceful and quiet. It's great value for what it is... but don't expect luxury. This is a comfortable 3 star place, the rooms at older style - very comfortable but not trendy or luxurious. Comfortable beds, clean sheets and bedding. Everything was clean and there was plenty of drinkable water available in the room; there was a small fridge, it was spacious enough. Gotta say - we really enjoyed this place compared to 4.5 star places elsewhere which were often more crowded and more enclosed, less space and amenity. It's a great location in Sanur for both the main street and the water side. We rented bikes and they did not mind us keeping our bikes outside our room. There's no competition for the long chairs by the pool when there - and we were there in high season too. Easy to find a shady spot. Again -- one of the pleasurable things about being here is that it's not hectic... We liked the zero plastic waste policy (although in practice this is quite hard to comply with, but we tried).

AustraliaThe table and chairs in front of the room are too big for the small space. Smaller furniture might be better.
Perfect location and good sized room for a family. The gardens are nice and the room is set back from the surrounding busyness. Great food options are close by as is a nice nightime stroll by the beach.
