We stayed for 4 nights as they refused to refund us. The first day we walked into our room the shower was not working. They gave us another room, here the aircon was not working, the room door was not closing or locking without a knack. The toilet would not flush. The hotel room was completely outdated, with a tube TV and a musty smell. The mosquito net was dark brown with filth.

Room was very average, not very clean and lots of bugs. Pool was dirty and the pump seemed to not be working - wouldn't have helped the amount of bugs in the room.

Convenient location, staff were polite and helpful.

The rooms were dirty, the safety deposit box didn't work, the locks on the cupboard were falling out. Mould on the bathroom ceiling. With a poor stench in the room. We were told that we had an upgraded room so I wouldn't like to see the room we should have been in. The only staff you see is the receptionist.

It was extremely hilly and would have been impossible for an older or physically impaired person to traverse up to the room from the Reception. It was raining quite a bit and there were too many ramps and not enough steps so that we were sliding and slipping continuously it was extremely dangerous. I would not recommend it to any older people at all. The bathrooms were full of mould and paint was peeling off. It needs a significant amount of attention and maintenance undertaken.

It was not clean, the staff jumped over our fence in the evening and knocked on our door when we were sleeping. As two young women this was very scary. They were saying we stole someone’s food delivery when we got exactly what we ordered. We ignored them for a while as we didn’t know they were staff and we knew we had locked the gate and our doors. So we tried to wait it out as we thought they were scammers or not hotel staff. They jumped the fence and knocked on our glass door until I had to come to the door very scared. When I said to them we were asleep, I have the receipt and we got exactly what we ordered. They kept saying they think we took their food. I said please leave and closed the door. Then when addressed the next day they said sorry but I would not stay here again knowing the staff will jump the fence while you’re sleeping. There were bugs in the bed canopy and the entire pool area was too slippery to walk in. I fell and hurt myself trying to access our private pool. It was disappointing for us as we were really excited to stay here and it wasn’t until we got to our second accommodation we had comparison for just how bad it was.

Lovely stay at Pertiwi. We had a villa with a private pool and it was so peaceful. The main pool in the hotel is so nice too and the grounds are beautiful. Great location to central Ubud. Staff friendly and helpful.

Airconditioners are too small for the big rooms (we stayed in Premier rooms) and don't cool the rooms enough. We had to change 2 rooms to finally get to a room that was just bearable in cooling terms. When I asked staff to put me in a smaller room which I hoped would cool better due to smaller Acs vs room size, staff said there will be no refund if I move to smaller room instead of first trying to solve our problem that the ACs aren't cooling enough and we are feeling hot both during day and night. Also, bathroom doors don't shut in some of rooms we stayed in.

I didn’t like the bedroom’s smell, was smelling like a mold. But was really clean, the housekeeper came every day. The breakfast was good just the food was a little cold, but the coffee was so good!

The Villas are amazing. Friendly staff! Perfect location, good restaurants, shops, mini markets so everything you need around.

Because of the terrain there are lots of steep pathways and stairs of uneven heights (not suitable for people with any mobility issues).

Beautiful grounds and room however getting from the front entrance to back entrance was an absolute nightmare, the ramps and stairs were so steep and very dangerous, My friend and I thought we were going to have an heart attack, reception did say we were up the back but no mention how steep it was nor mention there was a back entrance.

Shower over bath didn't drain water had to get plumber to empty it every time we used it. Toilet was leaking and dripping all night couldn't sleep because of dripping noise. Every time we used the toilet flush would almost overflow and would take at least 30 minutes to drain to where it should be. Had to change room due to shower not draining and toilet leaking and couldn't sleep. Changed to new room TV did not work had to install another one.

Pro tip: if you are staying toward the back of the resort, there is an entrance at the back too! We only discovered this halfway through our stay, but it gave us access to a totally different street full of places to shop and eat. The only complaint I can make is that our phone rang a couple of times in the middle of the night, but when I answered it was clearly a nearby room calling reception that must have activated a party line?

Fantastic location, beautiful villas and grounds, we booked villas with private pools but the main pool looked great too. Great food at the on-site restaurant. Staff was always attentive and helpful. This place really is in the heart of everything, we walked to monkey forest in under ten minutes, and found new hidden restaurants for every meal.
