Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SingaporeThe shower could be improved (non-adjustable handheld shower, malfunctioning rain shower, and water spillage onto the floor). Housekeeping could be improved (dirty cups were not cleaned).
We had a wonderful stay at this beautifully situated property, surrounded by lush rice paddies, animals and nature . Love the restaurant's panoramic views, especially during breakfast and afternoon tea. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The location was ideal for yoga enthusiasts like ourselves, being adjacent to Yoga Barn and Lumeria studios. Numerous restaurants and shops were also within walking distance. The staff were friendly and responsive, making our stay truly enjoyable!

AustraliaThe staff were wonderful, so friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable with a lovely view out across the pool, and the balcony was nice to stand out on. The breakfast restaurant had a beautiful outlook, and the breakfasts were lovely. A smallish continental style buffet (with lots of fruit to choose from) and then a choice of mains (both Balinese and European from the menu.) Position of the hotel is super - you feel as if you are in the countryside, and yet you are only a stone's throw from the main areas of Ubud. There is a lane that takes you from the guest bedrooms to the main restaurant which then leads out onto one of the main roads in Ubud. It took us about 30 minutes to walk to the Palace and the main market, although the hotel helped us with taxis, and made everything very easy if we wanted to get anywhere.

United Arab EmiratesI loved everything about the Plataran. The rooms are really comfortable and super quiet. The food at the Indonesian restaurant is excellent. The staff are very helpful and friendly. I even got a free upgrade when I arrived which was a lovely surprise. A perfect refuge from the hustle and bustle of downtown Ubud but really central and close to everything you might want to see. Highly recommended!!

SingaporeThe staff are so welcoming, everyday. After 5 days' stay, we can see ourselves staying here again if we would come to Ubud. The location is very central, with many good restaurants within 5-10 minutes of walk. The views throughout in the resort was pleasant and the place allows us to unwind immediately. With much to discover within the resort, experiencing them was not hard at all as everything feels so well-planned and spaced out. The rooms are clean with good working air-conditioning system. Excellent care was put into the breakfast. And the nightly snacks we received at our room are very pleasant surprises!

NetherlandsGarden and plunge pool villas do not have much daylight. I think villa is not the best word to describe them. Suites / rooms may be a better option ( though not directly underneath restaurant)
The views, the landscape, the peacefulness and so much to discover in the resort. Excellent food at the View restaurant. And wonderful staff. Also a big thank you for the wonderful front office team. I would highly recommend this place when staying in Ubud!

AustraliaThe resort area is huge so takes a bit of time to go in and out of your room, needed to factor that in when sightseeing. Also even those the hotel is technically walking distance to Ubud centre (20min on google maps), it is very difficult to walk in Ubud due to traffic and the lack of footpaths. Recommend getting a Grab or Gojiek scooter ride to get to your destination quickest. It took 3x as long by car.
Amazing place in the center of Ubud. Great breakfast and beautiful facilities, the pool, the rice paddies, yoga barn. Highly recommend the massage at the hotel spa, very relaxing and reasonably priced. I didn't have to pre-book, just rocked up one night and they were able to accommodate immediately. If you would like to do yoga at the Yoga Barn, this is easily accessible at the back of the property 5min walk.

FranceUbud has grown into most madness cultural Center of the whole Bali Island that attract million tourists. Hence the traffic jams multiplied since last time we were here (2018). And helas, Plataran is located on one of main avenues ! And yet they have shuttle van to take us downtown that became absolutely useless if 2-3 miles takes almost an hour. Walking Is the best choice. Was mighty glad that we were asked to spend first night at Canggu property and could enjoy the calm and quietness. Although nothing we could visit culturally compare to Ubud’s. And also another most popular beach town w Atlas Beach Club boasting Biggest club in Bali. But it was not our fav destination. Ubud was but the reality hit: so much time wasted in taxi. And our Plataran Ubud’s bedroom’s baths started showing its necessity to be renovated (our bathtub had cracked; maybe due to the shower head that fell.?!) And the breakfast place was just above our rooms, so unless you wake up and leave your room before 7 AM; otherwise you ‘re good to be waken up by the sound of dining chairs (or table) being pulled and moved around!
The staffs. Most Adorable, excellent service and profesional at the same time. The main pool, the activities along tea-time on-the-house, the morning yoga and vast choice of breakfast.

New ZealandOur extra bed that we requested was a fold out bed wlith la thin mattress. Quite uncomfortable sadly.
Breakfasts were great. Great hospitality from every staff esp Gusti and Novi. Staff made an effort to learn our kids names. Loved the activities provided to guests esp the afternoon teas which accompanied a craft/cultural event. Papdma spa was exceptional too. We also took part in the Traditional cooking class with Chef Budi. He was so lovely and patient with us and was a great teacher. Cant wait to cook our meals he taught us at home!
