Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaThis is my fourth stay at Poppies and I love it every time. A little oasis in the bustle of Kuta. Staff are wonderful and the welcome back flowers in our cottage were gorgeous. The perfect home base on our last few nights in Bali.

An oasis in the middle of the city with a picturesque pool, a very beautiful, spacious and comfortable bedroom with a wonderful outdoor bathroom. The staff is welcoming and adorable. We have stayed in various hotels and resorts during our one-month trip in Bali-Lombok and Poppies is the property we loved the best. Poppies’ restaurant is next door and the atmosphere and food are great. We’ll definitely come back.

Belgiumnothing relative to the hotel itself - but more "narrow street" to access parking / not easy to drive + Kuta itself is not the best place to stay if you do not have a flight to catch next day...
Very nice setting in a quiet place - beautiful gardens and swimming pool exceptional - nice bar - good service for transfer to the airport - nice rooms with outdoor showers/bathrooms - nice staff and parking - easy walk to the beach and all amenities

United StatesIt’s located in an older neighborhood with narrow streets and alleys. You need to constantly watch for traffic when walking. Access is a little difficult depending on how you approach the property. Tour drivers dropped us off a few minutes walk from the hotel rather than drive an extra 20 minutes to drop us off at the door. We were okay with that but maybe some people wouldn’t be.
Although an older hotel it’s kept up well. Large bungalow with nice landscaping. Large semi-open air bathroom with interior landscaping is nice. Not large but a very attractive pool area. Poppies Restaurant a short walk down the street had the best food I’ve had in Bali.

RussiaCertainly it's my favourite place in Kuta. It's an oasis of relaxation, beautiful nature and high level of service. I visited this hotel two times and 100% I would come here again. The territory is very beautiful, pool is a real masterpiece ❤️ very comfortable bungalows with everything what you can be in need during vacation (teapot, tea and coffee sets, fridge, local gel, shampoo, also there is even an umbrella in every bungalow). Everyday cleaning. The staff is amazing, helpful and hospitable. No doubts - they can help you with any questions or problem. I want to notice, that it's one of the few places in Bali which provides you free transfer from and to the airport. Hotel has its own restaurant with delicious food, drinks. Breakfasts are cooked there and served at your veranda every morning - amazing! Breakfast very tasty and various. Location - perfect as well. You can get the Kuta beach quickly (7 minutes walk). Shopping mall, cafes, supermarkets, spa salons and laundries - near the hotel. Highly recommended!!!

AustraliaBathrooms aren't air conditioned, lighting could be brighter along paths at night. Location is close to main area of Kuta but it's a long walk as there is no cut through.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Grounds were lovely and pool area was amazing. Very quiet despite being in the main area of Kuta.

AustraliaHard to find something to be honest! At a push, the flywires on the windows in our room could do with an upgrade. They affect the view from inside but we just opened them up and kept the windows closed. The windows are so gorgeous- they are a real feature of the overall design - and when surrounded by a green oasis, deserve to be appreciated!
We loved our stay at Poppies. We don't usually stay in Kuta but my daughter was arriving on a late flight and we wanted to be near the airport. It was like a hidden oasis! Very green and peaceful..We loved the design of the rooms and the pool area. Didn't want to leave! The staff were so welcoming and helpful. We will definitely be back.

New ZealandLoved the privacy and beautiful design of the bungalows. Liked the room service. The free airport shuttle was wonderful. He waited over 2 hours for us! Swimming in the lovely pool under pink blossoms was pure magic. The staff are excellent. Especially helpful was the young man on reception when Cathay Pacific lost my case for 56 hours. He rang them several times to help sort it out. Poppies an oasis in the madness of Kuta.

pool was fantastic and offered many places to rest in between swims. The room was always cleaned and tidied without us being disturbed with a daily delivery of bananas and fresh coffee supplies. The cottages were spaced well apart so no noise interrupted your rest and whilst we didnt have the breakfast option it sounded very good with fruit and yoghurts, Our check out was also extended to suit our departure The location was good in Poppies lane and whilst it was busy it was well lit and appeared safe.
