Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

FinlandWe really enjoyed our stay in Puruna Suite Ubud. The room was extremely spacious, with a huge, comfy bed and a large bathroom. The room was clean and nicely decorated. We had a room on the floor level and loved the easy access to the pool. The staff members were really friendly and accommodating. You could order your breakfast to your room every day and it was a lovely way to start your day with breakfast on your own terrace. We tried the massages from the Spa couple times and found those really relaxing and affordable. The location was good, there was a lot of nice restaurants close by. Would really recommed staying in Purana on your next stay in Ubud! ❤️

United StatesThis is my personal preference for safety: I didn't like the bed mattress being on a much wider wooden platform, because I don't expect to "walk into the hard corner of the wooden bed frame" I felt that the hot water in shower and bath were Boiling Hot and that there should be limit to how hot it can get.... coz a person could easily get burned.
Breakfast was superb, with classic Indonesian as well as western options. It was beautifully presented. I essentially took a photo shoot of my colorful meal each morning. My room was very comfortable, it has nice touch to have both a rainfall shower as well as a stand-alone bathtub with a glass wall from bathroom to bedroom. My balcony was nice with a table and two chairs overlooking the wonderful pool, which I used daily. The landscaping around the pool was really beautifully done and very tropical, a nice place to cool down in the extreme humidity and get social with some of the other guests. A very nice unexpected touch was that "afternoon tea" was offered every afternoon from 3:00 til about 5:00pm, which you could have on your balcony, at poolside or in the restaurant: it included a choice of tea or Balinese Coffee plus the sweet or pastry of the day, offered up in a quaint basket, reminiscent of a bird-cage. The hotel also had a lovely spa with two separate treatment rooms. I had a wonderful hot stone massage. And there is an art gallery with several original paintings by different Balinese artists. Finally, as a woman traveling solo, I especially liked it that there was a free shuttle available for hotel guests to be driven to the shopping ares & other side of Ubud. I used the shuttle a few times especially in the evenings, when I first arrived until I oriented myself and felt comfortable to call a "GRAB" car for transportation. All staff were very pleasant and extremely attentive!

MalaysiaI initially found this hotel via a yoga retreat aggregator site, but ended up booking just the accommodations on Booking.com instead of the 3-night retreat. It is a shame that the free yoga class is only on Sunday and Thursday morning, so I didn't have a chance to try it (my stay was Sunday night through Wednesday morning). I wish the classes are offered more frequently (e.g., every other day). Some of the information in their info pack is outdated, e.g., a free daily morning trek was listed, but when I enquired at the front desk, I was told that that has been discontinued. Since there is a nice bath tub, it'd have been nice to offer some bath salt in the toiletries stash.
I stayed here for 3 nights last month and love, love, love the hotel! The staff were so helpful and friendly throughout my stay here: I rarely give a property 10/10, but Purana Suite Ubud totally deserves it for the exceptional service. The staff helped me carry my large suitcase up and down the stairs at both check-in and check-out, as there's no elevator at the property. The breakfast was amazing: So many options to choose from, and I also love the option to have it at my balcony at my preferred time every morning (as communicated the night before). The suite is spacious and lovely, and the bed is super comfortable. Bottled water was replenished every day. In terms of facilities/ services, I got the Balinese massage at the spa and also had dinner at the hotel restaurant one night: Both were very reasonably priced. I also used the free shuttle to Ubud City Center once (ideally prebook with front desk 1-1.5 hour before). Hotel location is pretty good: Many restaurants, shops, spas and a lovely yoga studio (Heartspace) within a few minutes walk. It's about 30-minute walk to Ubud City Center, but the sidewalks in Ubud were mostly narrow, and sometimes blocked by other objects or damaged. (This has nothing to do with the hotel, but I find Ubud to be largely unfriendly to pedestrians: In addition to the sidewalk conditions, there are nonstop cars and motorcycles, which made it very stressful to cross the streets). Best to use the hotel shuttle or call a Grab. I wish my stay were longer: Would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ubud!

United KingdomLeaving
So glad we found this place! We were made to feel welcome from the moment we got out the taxi, lovely welcome drink, cold towel & mini feet massage, then escorted to the room. The room well truly amazing so big with lovely elephant made out of towels. Robes slippers spotlessly clean, huge comfy bed, tv but we didn’t have time to put it on, safe, tea & coffee & water provided, bathroom wow, huge bath overlooking the bedroom but you can put the blind down for privacy, large shower all the toiletries & more with tooth brushes & even razors they had thought of everything. Loved the night time stories as well couldn’t wait to read them, room overlooked the pool on the ground floor big balcony with comfy chairs. You can opt to have breakfast on your balcony or in the restaurant but we chose the balcony as it was sooo peaceful. Lots to choose from the food it’s absolutely amazing, must try the Dadar Galung it’s out of this world you do have to order the night before though but that’s so it can be delivered at the exact time & perfectly cooked. We ate at the restaurant twice & the chefs are amazing the food was so tasty. The last night was valentines night so we booked a 3 course meal with Balinese dancers for our entertainment! As I was singing at the cocktail bar a short walk away from the hotel a must try by the way they have great cocktails & karaoke 🎤! The staff had me singing before the dancers came on it was great fun. They even put a rose & chocolate on our bed when we returned bless them nice touch! They have a shuttle that can drop you off in the centre as it is quite a walk away but it’s free so use it great service! It’s a lovely town lots to see & it’s a 15 minute walk to monkey forest too so not far. There are lots of bars & restaurants nearby if you want to eat out as well as ATMs & supermarket for nibbles. Loved feeding the fish in the bar area too as I love any animal.

DenmarkThe hotel is close to the street. A bit noisy from the traffic when you eat breakfast, but very quite by the pool and in the room.
We had a couple of lovely days at the hotel. The staff were extremely sweet and friendly – they were always ready to help and very attentive to us, making sure we were comfortable. The pool is large, with great lounge chairs. The breakfast was excellent, and you could order a lot of different food.

United KingdomSmelt a little damp, which they are aware of due to there being a dehumidifier in the room. Not that many loungers by the pool/quite a small area. You can hear the road noise in the downstairs rooms.
It was clean, and the room was large. The pool area is nice and the food in the restaurant was good. Breakfast was tasty. It is in a good location to walk to various places in Ubud. Massages at the hotel were good. Staff were extremely friendly and made you feel very welcome.

United StatesNot applicable -- all was great!
The food was delicious—from breakfast to high tea to dinners, we were never disappointed. Good price and quality. And service was impeccable. What is most impressive is that my traveling companion has a couple of food allergies and once we told the breakfast waitstaff, everyone in the hotel was aware and so careful about what was in each dish. It was very help and a kind gesture.

FinlandDuring the rain season the ground floor rooms had slight stale smell in the air the but hotel offered / arranged air freshener machine to solve the problem.
Beautiful and serene hotel with gorgeus rooms in the heart of Ubud. Personnel were also professional and service was beyond. Our room located right at the pool which was convinient. Very good breakfast was delivered to the terrace on request. We had beautiful afternoon tea at pool and delicious lunch in a small restaurant. There was also Yoga Class few times per week on the roof terrace. Over all we had a good experience and would stay here again if I would like to have center location close to shops, restaurants, museums etc. In Ubud.

United StatesGuests should be aware that the hotel is in a busy part of town. For me, it worked out well to have a lot of restaurants and other businesses close but this is not a tucked-away retreat.
This is a lovely, modern renovation of an old temple (I think). The rooms have lots of light. comfortable beds, English-language tv stations, and great bathrooms with bathtubs. The staff are the absolute best! They went way out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. The restaurant is very good, with a variety of dishes and a bar.

SwedenPool walls wasn’t clean, full of algae and our last day the pool was closed (for maintenance?). A little bit pricey on site restaurant. Street outside hotel is having constant heavy traffic and it can be heard inside hotel ground but not very disturbing. More or less no sun any time of the day by the pool beds so if you’re looking to relax and improve your tan, not really possible by these beds.
Smiling and friendly staff throughout the hotel. Nice room with comfortable bed. Offers free shuttle to town center (or walk 20-25 min) based on available driver. Nice welcoming procedure. Very determined to please guests in all ways. Lovely breakfast which can be served by your room.
