Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaWe just spent 5 days at this superb little resort, located in a still fairly undiscovered and quiet part of Bali. We had opted for a Seaview Cottage, which is close to the lower pool and beach. Our cottage was very comfortable and spacious, the AC super quiet and efficient. The gardens are lush, well maintained and designed to give every room/cottage some privacy. The restaurant’s menu is varied and all the dishes we had were freshly prepared and very tasty. We loved the brown home made bread! The staff is very friendly and efficient and we felt very spoiled by them during our stay. Puri Dajuma is a perfect little hideaway and we loved every moment of our stay. Medewi’s famous Surf Beach is a short drive from the hotel and the hotel provides a shuttle service free of charge.

AustraliaSome of the doors on the rooms are warped - this means bugs can access the room, especially mosquitos. Fortunately, mosquito nets are set up, but this means you need to spend some time making sure they are properly set up to minimise intrusion by insects. Additionally, I know outdoor showers and bathrooms are popular in Bali, but I will admit, they are not my favourite. As weather in Bali is always hot and humid, plus the high numbers of mosquitos, I am not a fan, no matter how well they are appointed. It's also pretty weird to have a shower in a thunderstorm! Also, perhaps overhead fans on the porches of the villas would be good to improve comfort while sitting there.
Generally, the resort is very nice. The pools, restaurant and rooms sizes and outlooks are very good. The location right on the seafront is also very good, with lovely views. The beds are comfortable and the décor is very good.

AustraliaThe outdoor bathroom means mosquitoes inevitably get into your room as you go in and out. There are mossie nets over the bed (tuck them in under the mattress) but you need to be vigilant. More concerning though was that my 90kg husband got in the hammock on our porch (after already checking the knots) and it gave way immediately. He fell on his back, straight onto the concrete. The iron connections were corroded and rusted because of the sea air and chose that moment to give way. The staff were very apologetic but then proceeded to hook up the hammock again with a similarly rusty hook. Be warned! (Husband OK if quite bruised and is resting up in Sanur).
A very nice resort tucked away in West Bali. This is a French ‘family owned’ venture and it certainly shows in the excellent skills and training of the staff, which is beyond anything else we encountered in our trip through Java and Bali. We stayed in a beach side room - plenty of space, large (fully outdoor) bathroom, good wifi and large bed. Water supplied + refill stations in an effort to reduce plastic waste. Meals good and reasonably priced given you’re not near anything else. Pools superb. This was a very last minute booking on our way between the ferry in north Bali and Denpasar as the travel times were longer than was safe to drive in one day. They greeted is like cherished guests and I wish we’d had an extra night as it’s so very, very quiet.

RomaniaIf you rely on the internet, that can be an issue. It discontinued all the time and it was slow. We made some Hotspot from the phone. But you are on holiday, don't waste time with Facebook and Instagram.
Although difficult to get there from Lovina, the place itself is wonderful. Situated directly on the beach iit is a great resort, where you can spend time to relax. Two generous clean pools, nice sun beds, great food choice, good breakfast, billiard, darts, badminton, ping pong, even a kitchen in our two bedroom apartment. All together if you want to explore the NW, you are in good hands there.

AustraliaThere wasn’t really anything that we really didn’t like. It’s away from the hustle and bustle and secluded.
The property was fantastic, rooms were clean and modern while keeping the bali tradition alive. The outdoor shower was great and the food was so nice. Trip to rubber plantation and lunch was so enjoyable with our guides fun and informative. Great sea view location. Staff were always so helpful and nothing was a problem.

Lovely calm atmosphere, friendly staff, tasty food, immaculate beautiful gardens. Enjoyed it all so much that we extended our stay by a night. Did a flower decorating class with the lovely Dina but sad to have missed the free local cooking class with the head chef. Highly recommend the yoga 🧘♂️ classes for all levels.

FranceThe location is definitely remote so plan on using taxis for any outings, but the hotel can organize that for you.
We spent one night in the 2 bedroom villa with our kids and wished we had stayed longer! The villa is beautiful with an open air living room right on the beach. There are 2 bedrooms off the central living area and each bedroom has its own bathroom, AC and ceiling fans. The beds were very comfortable and had mosquito nets. The sunset views from the villa and/or the pool/restaurant area were gorgeous! They had happy hour, which was a good surprise. You can swim to the right of the hotel beach, but there are big waves. The hotel provides body boards free of charge. The restaurant had plenty of options and the food and service were impeccable. We would stay here again!

AustraliaThis place is amazing. It’s perfect for some peace and relaxation away from the hustle and bustle. Every corner of the resort is stunning. The service and facilities are excellent, whilst still sticking to the more traditional style and remaining eco-friendly. If you want to shop and party this is not the right place for you, but if you want serenity and rejuvenation nothing beats this resort. We spent 3 nights but easily could have stayed 10 and not be bored, as long as you have a good book 😊
