Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomBeautiful ‘temple’ style guesthouse with a wonderful local family running it pasted down through generations, a unique stay in Ubud. Breakfast is great and eating surrounded by trees, water features and traditional Balinese architecture is a unique experience. The property is around a 10/15 minute walk from the main area in Ubud. Would recommend to anyone to stay here whilst visiting the town.

United KingdomEverything!! New, clean, and very well-maintained. The room is excellent, with attention to every detail. It lacks nothing, equipped with all the amenities necessary to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. The staff's attention is outstanding. I wanted to extend my stay, but it couldn't happen. They were already fully booked. That's a good signal!!

United Statesthis is a very minor irk and not anything the hosts can change so it doesn't affect my rating- more for awareness: it is about a mile to the main street / city center where the restaurants and cafes are ... a little bit closer to the main area would have made it a lot easier to get around on foot (we love to walk everywhere but the heat is brutal during the day). Day 2 we found we found we definitely needed a scooter to get around. Other than that, we experienced no issues.
the hosts were very kind, welcoming, and generous in sharing everything about their family and Balinese customs. It was a great first stay experience in Bali.

AustraliaI liked everything, especially the breakfast.
I appreciated the kindness of the staff, especially Wirati and her husband, who reside on-site as it's a family-owned business. They provided excellent restaurant recommendations, organized a trip to Gili Island and more, and even had their own scooters available for booking. Everything was perfect.

Amazing ambience, garden is very beautiful, you can see the owners put their soul in order to maintain it so well. Hosts are very welcoming, I arrived quite late, they sent me message with all the information and their contact details to make sure I would be checked in. Rooms are nice and clean. Hope to come back with my family or friends. Sad I couldn’t prolong my stay as all the rooms were sold out.

FranceThe place is amazing, it is a local Balinese house with a stunning garden, with the respect of the local traditions. The room is clean and the bed very confortable and all is spacious. Free breakfast/coffee/tea is great and the must is the Balinese cake! It is a very good place to stay as you can chill on your own terrace or the common areas (there are several) so you will feel refreshed to start the day or finish it quietly. The family there is exceptional, I rarely met people that nice, caring so much for others, with such a good heart!! They are probably the kindest I have ever met, so don’t wait to chose this place for your stay in Ubud :)

ItalyWayan Sutena and his wife have made this authentic balinese house an oasis of peace in the Ubud's heart. I have stayed with them 8 days so I have had time to appreciate the kindness and generosity of both. They will always meet your needs if possible. I've enjoyed their amazing garden and my comfortable room, which was cleaned every day with care. The place is not so far from the center and close to Yoga Barn, in case you want to enjoy yoga and meditation classes.

IndiaHaving a long mirror and hair dryer might have been good.
I stayed at this place for 5 nights. It’s very peaceful and pleasant stay. I stayed in another hotel for a day more at the city centre but its very crowded. Loved this stay and will recommend for everyone. Also the best part is you can rent bikes directly from the hotel.

IndiaNot a negative. Just highlighting that the property is slightly away from the centre but you can get a Grab/Gojek instantly. It wasn't an issue for us in general.
Beautiful Balinese house hosted by warm, friendly and helpful people. The whole family were cheerful and treated us very well. Our daughter had lots of fun and interacted with the hosts' kids as well. They helped us with all our requests like room change to the ground floor, fruit, bags. The accommodation is adequate and comfortable, and the open kitchen is an added bonus. Great value for money. I would wholeheartedly recommend staying at Sahadewa House to experience local Bali life.
