Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNo complaints
We had a fantastic stay at Sambahan Inn. The staff were all very friendly. The rooms were very clean and spacious and came equipped with a fridge which was convenient. We also had a balcony overlooking the beautiful garden and pool. The pool was incredible. We were surprised to not see any pictures of the pool in the advert because I think its a huge selling point and nice way to escape the Ubud heat. It's also very well located. There are loads of amenities just down the road i.e fruit/juice stands, coffee shops, restaurants, supermarkets. Ubud palace is also a 5 minute walk away. We've been backpacking for almost 3 months now and this was probably the nicest place we've stayed at during our trip. Highly recommend!

Staying here felt like a retreat as it was so peaceful. The garden and nature is stunning and the pool a perfect place to relax. The staff are friendly and the location is perfect, close to the action but still a quiet place to wind down.

SpainEverything was great! We enjoyed our stay very much.
The location was perfect and very central. You can walk to and from Ubud center without problems. Also, even though I didn't have breakfast in the morning the neighbors seemed to enjoy it and it looked great.

Germanythe stay was great! the location was perfect, waking distance from the busy street in Ubud, but not noisy and more quiet overall.. the staff was nice and always helpful. The room was really nice, but off course a lit bit of smell because of the high humidity and all of the area.. but expected for the region. the best part was the amazing pool! like paradise!

GermanyThe place is truly magnificent, a typical Balinese house. It is a few minutes from the center but in a very quiet and peaceful area. The room is clean and spacious. The bed very comfortable. The swimming pool is surrounded by greenery. Unbeatable value for money. The owner is very kind and helpful. Highly recommended!

Indonesia- Parking area is narrow, but inside the garage with roof (safe from rain) - Wi-fi connection sometimes slow, but still running - No food at the premises, but you can walk to nearby cafes and restaurants. Even close to Indomaret convenient store. - One of the sugar sachets in the room is already spoiled, maybe need to check the amenities prior to guest arrival
- The location. It is in the center of Ubud, right behind the Ubud palace and close to Ubud market. Jl. Suweta. - Separate shower and toilet - Quiet and peaceful - Clean

The location is good, close to everything and the place is beautiful and quiet. The room was comfortable and clened daily. The guy who owned the place was waiting for us and was very willing to help with anything.

Nice hotel, not far from the center. The host is very nice and tries to help in organising (should you need to rent a motor bike for example).

GermanyVery different from the pictures. The door didn’t really lock (or wasn’t really secure). Plus some holes always stayed open making it easy for bugs and mosquitoes to come in. It was not clean and rather dusty plus there were still dead mosquitoes on the walls. We also had a lizard in our room. I’ve stayed in many stays in this price class and this was one of the most disappointing ones.
Location is good and the staff was super nice.
