Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaThis property was gorgeous! The grounds had so many beautiful flowers and plants, the views were insane, and the pool was perfect. Our room was huge and amazing, great views from the front patio. The restaurant had great food and the staff were all helpful and professional. Very close to Aling-aling waterfall and 3 other waterfalls (walking distance). Can’t wait to come back here!

SwedenThis is a wonderful hotel and area. High in the mountains. Lovely views. It rained in the evenings but that did not bother us. Some in the straff talks good english and everybody are very polite. We were on a trekking to the four waterfalls which was a walk with many stairs and very nice. Visit Rosas bamboo weawing in the Village and support the local Handicraft. The food in the restaurant is a bit to spiceless in our taste but We asked to spice it more and the the balanesian food was good. We will definetly go back to Shanti.

This is hands down one of the most amazing places we’ve ever stayed. The surroundings are absolutely breathtaking – I don’t think the photos can truly capture how stunning it is. I could’ve spent hours just sitting in the restaurant, taking in the incredible views. It really is something special. Our room was lovely too. It felt so unique and cosy. Not everyone’s a fan of baths, but we loved it – it added such a nice touch to our stay.

SlovakiaWhile they have a big area and lots of separate houses, but you can sit and relax, I was missing a possibility to walk around the area like in the circle. That way I could have walked for one or two hours just within the hotel area that would have been very nice and relaxing too and better than just sitting all day in the restaurant. Maybe they can improve it
I wanted a quiet and relaxing hotel and this was the perfect place for me. Every day I was sitting in the restaurant which has a stunning view on the mountains with jungle and the river and waterfall and clouds. I could sit there for hours and just relax after two weeks. I felt like reborn. While many tourists keep running around to visit waterfalls and temples. I was totally happy with sitting in the restaurant. Once or twice a day, I also went to the pool, which was very good for swimming. The food in the restaurant was very great and surprisingly cheap. Normally, I don’t eat in the hotel because they have 30% higher prices, but not here. I especially liked the chicken Gordon bleu, and im Austrian so I know what a good schnitzel is.

United StatesShanti is a beautiful place for a serene stay. The morning breakfast overlooking the mountains, the peaceful sound of the river and the overall tranquility of the space and nearby waterfalls make for a magical stay. The staff and trainees were very welcoming and enhanced the experience. We enjoyed the waterfall trek, basket weaving with Rosa, daily yoga and dance in the shala and watching the monkeys run across the pool. 10/10 experience!

MalaysiaWished they had a shower in the toilet. It's a bath adjustable shower head. Also missing some toilet amenities like cotton buds, toothbrush/paste and bedroom slippers.
Lovely villa with grand view of the hills, very much surrounded with nature. The bed n pillows were so comfortable and the toilet is huge! Staff were very attentive, helpful, and friendly. The pool location is perfect with the amazing view and sounds of a river nearby. the cafe location had a lovely view of sunset and waterfalls. Sounds of nature were serenading me to sleep. United StatesNothing could be better. It's like staying in a dreamworld. My 2nd time there.
This place is as close to Paradise as it gets. When you dream of going to Bali, this is the dream, traditional carved wood joglos nestled in the Sambalan Hills, amongst lush tropical plants and flowers, with the most lovely infinity pool with serene Buddha. Staff is totally on top of it. Place is tended and spotless. I was in Padma Joglo and it was a palace truly. Staff is lovely and helpful. Restaurant food is delicious especially yummy chicken satay.

AustraliaWe chose the standard room and in hindsight should have paid more for a spacious room with bigger bed (king size actually a queen, but there was a super king available in deluxe room). We had issues with mosquitoes but to be expected given location and time of year.
Accomodation in amongst beautiful gardens. Lovely pool area. Restaurant very good quality. Walking distance to Aling Aling.

Lithuania1. It was extremely noisy, looked like we lived in the street. 2. Beds were not so comfortable - 2 beds were combined/joint together, so that edge between those - was not so comfortable.

United KingdomAnts not dealt with when requested. More attention to detail when cleaning rooms. No point in having a huge stone bath if the water pressure is so low it would take hours to fill. No shower attachment hook on the wall. Sheets need changing every couple of days.

United KingdomEverything was so perfect !!
It s such a peaceful place, with incredible gardens, views, rooms and staff. I extended my stay here because i loved it so much. Close to beautiful rice fields, waterfalls and 30 mn from the beach. The forest here is gorgeous and it is the ideal location to discover the real Balinese culture and life. The staff is the biggest highlight as they are the kindest genuine people and really open to share their culture. This is been a transformational stay for me and I am really grateful for all of them to have made my stay very special !!!
