The only thing that's not great is the location, it's quite far from the center. But with motorbike it's still easy to get there.

Host is an amazing guy, helps out with everything, really cares about his guests. The building is beautiful, very spacious and a nice social area. Large kitchen as well. Facilities are amazing too. And all that for quite a cheap price.

I stayed about 3 months in this hostel, and I was so sad to leave because i felt at home. Mok is a super host. He makes you feel really comfortable, and whatever you need, he gonna help you, he is really kind and helpful. I had my birthday in their hostel, and Moak made me feel really special, he take care of each guest as I had never seen, the value doesn't have any comparatiion with the price that you pay. The hostel has a beautiful and big garden with mango trees, chilli, eggplant, and avocado, and it has even a basketball basket. In this garden, I spent I lot of time in the morning. It's a good place to do yoga and journalism or meditation. Inside, he has a big area to chill, play games, play guitar (yes, he has a guitar!) or just for work in the computer, and for the cooking lovers,, he has a really big kitchen with all the tools that you need. The beds are really comfy, and of course, he has AC. He has chickens and a cat, Aban, Mok's son. This is a beautiful place to stay. You don't need to think about it, it's the best hostel that I have ever been, and now it's my second home.

They have good/friendly staff and owner, they are trying to help u about everything what u need. I needed to rent a motorcycle and I told the owner middle of the night and motorcycle was ready Infront of the building when I wake up. Hostel is clean and spacious.

It's not a gripe about this place just travelling in general. Why are other guests so inconsiderate these days!? I remember when everyone was polite and friendly and went out of their way not to disturb other people's sleep. These days people seem more interested in their phone than fellow travellers. I find it the absolute height of arrogance that someone would ignore a fellow traveller that says "Hello" to them, and just as bad that they lie in their bunk talking loudly to their phone while others in the room are trying to sleep 🤨 Oh, one small detail: the electric plugs in the rooms are disabled. You can only charge ur phone in the lounge.

The other reviews are true. This place is a bit of a gem. It is perfectly located, you can catch the number 8 bus very easily to and from town. The cat is a cuddle monster. The host is always around which is a good and bad thing... good because he is super friendly and interested in your travels, but bad because you cannot completely relax, you get the distinct feeling that you are in his living room instead of in a backpacking hostel lounge 😂 this results in a sparkling clean hostel, the cleanest I have ever seen. The hugest plus is that while you can hear the local mosque in the lounge, the bedroom is sound proof enough for the mosque not to wake you every morning at some ungodly hour! 😀 Yogyakarta is really nice. Check out the zoo, it is cheap and world class. There is superb dine in or takeout food nearby google maps: "Ampera Malam Masakan Padang". There is a superb fruit stall nearby too: "Warung Buah Segar".

The hospitality was incredible, the host was so kind and wonderful. Everything was clean and the beds were super comfy. The location is great and the atmosphere really nice. I would stay here again 1000%, highly recommend it!!!!

Showers could be a bit Cleaner, but were okey.

Very friendly staff. Nice, clean private room. Dorm was also very nice and clean. Beds were soft, slept good. The hostel owner feels like a friend you can rely on. Listens to what you want and giving good advice on what you need. Very cheap because of the low season. More than worth the money!

The hostel was peaceful and spacious. The AC keeps the room cool. The bed was comfortable and a curtain was available for privacy. Sockets, a mini shelf, and a mini lamp were installed right next to the bed. The staff and owner were very accommodating and helpful. They will try their best to help you with information you might need to go around the area.

We had a great stay at Sleepy Raccoon Hostel, the host truly was a super host and helped us out with renting a motorcycle, laundry, restaurant recommendations and anything else we could have wanted. The location wasn’t too far from the main attractions and was easy to access by motorcycle, and the property was beautiful and peaceful. Highly recommend.

I solo-travelled during off season and the place did not have a lot of people just for a couple of them. However, Mr. Mak and his cats made me feel like I was back home. He was very helpful with renting me a bike/ some tips on where to souvenir shopping/ places to visit etc. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean and very well maintained. The shared room has a TV which has access to OTT platform. Your stay will feel like you’re back home. :)

This was definitely one of the best hostels I visited in Indonesia. The host, Muk, is very nice and always helped me out. The other staff, even though they don't speak English, also seemed very likeable. The facilities, compared to other places I visited, were definitely good and mostly clean. There is really nothing bad that stands out to me. Great hostel. Can only recommemd

Simply one of the best hostels I have been. Very friendly and helpful people who work here. Special thanks to Mok, who was very helpful and always made me feel at home, even when I dropped a big glass bottle of limonade 10 minutes for my departure🥲🤣. Thank you very much, will not forget this place.

Not so much in the city centre so it's much quieter, I had my best sleeps here. Convenient location, less than 10mins by motorbike to city centre. Very spacious and clean house. Owner and staff are very helpful and friendly. Also many common spaces to chill and hangout with the rest. Great value for money
