Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaThe beach club adjoining front of property called Sunset Beach on a land share with hotel. The music is too loud and too hardcore club music from 7.45 am till 8/9/10 pm at night at least! Depends which night of week or weather permitting. The shared use of hotel Pool with beach club visitors. Which gives zero privacy or advantage to hotel guests at all. The fireworks in the evening went to midnight due to Ramadan. We moved villas and it was vast improvement. However, it depreciates the value of the hotel that beach club in front. It’s terrible. The food is also awful at beach club they constantly deliver food to wrong guests and staff at pool are not helpful and will not reserve seats for hotel guests. Which I believe is poor service. My plea to The Royal Beach owner should end this connection with this beach club and move back to a large hotel chain. That would lift the property back to its original level that staff and return guests deserve. With proper hotel facilities again like gym and spa for guests to enjoy and provide more employment to deserving Balinese.
The staff are wonderful especially reception. The cleanliness of villa. The location is excellent. The breakfast and staff at husk breakfast.

AustraliaNo ice not even a available to be delivered to the room, the fridge was so tiny and did not work properly. We had to get a bigger fridge delivered to the filler. Cleaning doesn't happen unless you ask and there were tiles in stones broken everywhere, lovely resort but very very old and very very tired.
We came here and stayed in one of the beautiful villas. The pool was excellent however the place is crumbling down in front of your very eyes. They have separated from the core brand and the staff are limited. However those that remain are extremely lovely and they message you via WhatsApp. The restaurant and bar in the front of the hotel are not owned by the hotel therefore you cannot charge anything to your room. It says on Google it's permanently closed and I think they are doing some renovations at the moment. I would actually avoid until Google says it's open.

AustraliaLocation was fabulous. Have stayed here many times pre COVID. The hotel itself was not open but we had a villa. Great staff and a small restaurant opening shortly. Plenty of restaurants close by to choose from. It’s old style Bali which is what I loved about it.

AustraliaWe had some issues with no hot water for about a week… and we had to ask for the pool to be chlorinated a few times as it was starting to turning green. Also, our villa backed onto a busy and loud roadway… so earplugs were a must.
The grounds where well looked after.. the staff were very helpful and the location was perfect

New ZealandOur stay was a little odd. The property was almost entirely deserted. The official version was that large swathes of the resort were being renovated, but there didn't seem to be any building/construction going on. A few of the villas had been rented out - and the pool area was still open and operating, but everything else was closed. We knew this going in (it was part of the reason for the very sharp price we received). But even so, it was rather eerie to be wandering around a completely empty resort - a bit like being in 'The Shining'.
The two-bedroom pool villa was spacious, private and very well appointed. The self-contained outdoor area was especially impressive (the large plunge pool and the day bed). The pool area was lovely (and still open and operating, despite the 'renovations' - see more below). The location was good - just a short walk up the street to the shops/village and absolute beachfront (although Seminyak Beach is rather underwhelming - compared to, say, the white sandy beaches of Fiji or Queensland).

AustraliaThe only thing is that there’s no room service due to the renovations yet to have taken place, but we were made aware of this before booking by the property and it explains the incredibly reduced prices. Definitely worth the “sacrifice”!
The villa was amazing; extremely spacious, clean, traditional Balinese style mixed with modern comfort. Our pool and garden was gorgeous to relax in, with sun lounges and a pergola. The main pool that opens onto the beach is picturesque, with a poolside bar doing excellent cocktails, pizza, fried chicken, salad, snacks and more.

Saudi ArabiaFirstly, there is no breakfast, no restaurant for them, or even a bar for them. There is no kitchen inside the villa. Secondly, the refrigerator is very small and does not cool until after two days... Thirdly, the toilet chair does not collect water in its tank for flashing... Fourthly, the shower mixer does not work properly, sometimes hot and sometimes cold.

AustraliaOld and tired and desperately in need of refurbishment. The water pipes obviously need replacing as the water in the showers and sinks smelt and had a funky taste (not that I drank it). Lot of ants in the rooms. Few amenities - breakfast and lunch was available and the pool was open but not part of the hotel so couldn't book food and drinks to room. Would be excellent if the owner spent some money on brining it up to scratch.
Great location. Close to Seminyak Beach and the main shopping strip The grounds were beautiful and the staff were great
