It was like paradise from the beginning. The room, the food, the surroundings…What made it exceptional is the staff, that was excellent and helped to fulfill all our wishes. We would definitely come back.

Everything was perfect.

This is such a gorgeous little boutique hotel, it really exceeded all my expectations. It's hidden on a side road just outside of Ubud, is set in a wonderful lush garden with tall trees and vegetation, a pool designed like a rock pool and overlooking Paddy fields. All the interiors are wonderful, with lots of fun design details, a mix of art and design from Indonesia and elsewhere in the world. The team were friendly and hospitable from before arrival to when we left, and Wendy the owner was really helpful with recommendations for shopping and eating out. Every room is different - we stayed in an upper room which was spacious and comfortable, with a big outdoor balcony/sofa, four poster bed and an outdoor bathroom/shower. Breakfast was tasty, we enjoyed the fresh coconut water, spicy eggs and home-made crumpets and jam. My tip - hire a moped, it's only 5-10 minutes into town and so much easier to get around.

I don't know if I will have the proper words to describe this place. It's magical, full of love. The owner wanted us to feel even better than home. All the details are amazing, my eyes were dazzling by them, beauty is everywhere and it's so peaceful.

Incredible stay, the staff couldn’t do enough to look after us. Arranging massages, trips and transfers. Breakfast was delicious. Dinner we had the lodge to ourself during a tropical storm!

There’s nothing we didn’t like.

We had the most incredible stay at this charming boutique hotel in Ubud! Our villa, the Farmhouse, was absolutely stunning—private, idyllic, and beautifully designed with every detail in mind. It felt like our own little sanctuary, tucked away in nature. From the moment we booked, Ayu went above and beyond to ensure our experience was seamless. Even on days when she wasn't working, she checked in to make sure everything was going smoothly, truly making us feel cared for. When we arrived, Erna welcomed us with open arms, giving us a tour and making us feel right at home. Her warmth and helpfulness set the tone for a fantastic stay. A special shout-out to Wayan, who was our driver from Sanur port to the hotel and also took us on a tour of the rice terraces and a temple. His knowledge of the area was impressive, and he shared so many interesting facts and stories. Despite the rain, he remained cheerful and patient, even taking the time to snap all the photos we wanted! The entire team at the hotel was outstanding, and the facilities were top-notch. Every aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations, from the personalised service to the gorgeous surroundings. We’ll definitely be back and will recommend it to our friends. I understand taking great care of the property but there were moments when it felt a little over protective. I would also expect at this price point we'd be able to take things home like the toiletries bag, but that wasn't the case. These are obviously small things, but again, at this cost these details start to matter.

This place is amazing! Every detail is considered and it shows that the owners truly care about this land and property. Beautiful decor, comfortable bed with amazing bedding, super nice amenities like soap, shampoo, coffee, tea, etc. It feels like a beautiful oasis right in the hustle and bustle of Ubud. It felt so good to be close to nature, especially with the small garden and the beautiful pool. The breakfast was amazing. We LOVED their homemade english muffins. I highly recommend if you're looking for something classy and unique.

My partner and I recently spent 6 nights at Stone House in Ubud, Bali, and it was nothing short of magical. We experienced one night in their enchanting Treehouse and five nights in the serene Farmhouse. This boutique stay is a lush secret garden, just 10 minutes by motorbike from downtown Ubud. Stone House boasts six uniquely decorated rooms, featuring wooden crafts, books, and an array of eclectic items. The blend of architectural genius with natural beauty creates an oasis of tranquility. Wendy, the friendly owner, warmly greeted us upon arrival and gave fantastic recommendations for exploring Ubud. Her lovable puppies, LouLou and Bella, added an extra touch of charm. The real standout, however, is the exceptional staff. Their attentiveness, bright smiles, and dedication to making guests feel at home are unforgettable. Special thanks to Iluh, Erna, the Kitchen Team, and our wonderful massage therapists. Having visited Bali over 20 times, I can confidently say this was my most unique stay. Stone House is a haven that reflects true Balinese hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a serene and homely retreat in Ubud.
