Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWe loved almost everything. The breakfast that the restaurant serves to the room was only okay. But we still took this option as it was so nice to have it brought to the terrace and have such a relaxed morning. This is not what we didn't like but just tips for people booking. This is a more isolated location away from the tourist hot spots, and you will encounter some bugs, etc, so only book if you're happy with that! No problem for us, but good to note!
We had an amazing stay at taksu villas in the lovely village of sebatu. The staff were amazing and could be contacted easily via WhatsApp or in person at the lobby. The room was lovely and clean, made up every day with a massive bathroom. The terrace was a nice place to relax and take in the wonderful view of the rice terraces. The plunge pool was the added extra on top of all of that! This place is definitely a place to relax and take in nature. Butterflies and birds will greet you in the morning as you look out into the rice fields with barely any noise apart from the calming, constant flowing water into the plunge pool! Although isolated, there was a nice restaurant one minute walk away. They also delivered any meal straight to your room! Most of the dishes we had were really good too. Take a walk around sebatu village and head to cafe kuno for a different option (15 mins walk). Grab bikes were cheap to go to the popular rice fields or ridge walk. We also went to the fireflies garden and holy water sebatu close by. The team treated us extremely well and even gave us a small gift on departure. We would love to return if we ever come back to Bali. Thanks to all the team!

Czech RepublicI’d prefere a little bit better food, it’s nice but it could be better. We ate better food in Bali but I think it’s about the people taste. 9/10
We loved it! So nice views around the rice terraces and we travelled in Bali (Uluwatu, Canggu, Ubud) and everywhere we hade a lot of insects so interesting that here in Taksu we hade non. No bites at all, we were so happy. All the personals take care of you as we are their family. Great beds and pillows we slept great! Very clean, tri makasi. You can rent a scooter and you are anywhere in 20- 30 mins. Great location for us. The next time we will come in non raining session and it’s going to be even better. Thank TAKSU for having us.

AustraliaNothing at all…
The villa was set right next to a rice field which was so amazing and relaxing to be near to. The villa itself was beautiful in all ways. Amazing with a comfortable bed, and a big bathroom, made the stay even more comfortable. The people that worked at the villa, were so friendly and helpful, which made the stay even more enjoyable. There is a restaurant right next door, which is open from 7:30am to 11pm. So you don’t have to go far for food, or you can arrange for it to be delivered to your room, which I didn’t on occasion. If you are looking for absolute peace and quiet then this is the place for you. I highly recommend it, and wouldn’t hesitate in staying here on my next visit to Bali.

Everything was fantastic. If you are looking for a hotel in Ubud this is a perfect option, although it is a bit far it is more than worthy since you can get a grab and you will be in the city center in 20 minutes. They don’t have restaurant at the moment (it is under construction) but there is one nearby and you can get your food delivered at your villa until 10 PM. It is super clean and all the staff is lovely, they will help you to arrange everything you need as transfers, laundry, picnic breakfast for an early tour, etc. I truly recommend this property.

UkraineThe location of the villas is in peaceful and beautiful area. I really enjoyed the view from my villa. The hotel provided breakfast, and it was a bit small for us, but tasty. There is a nice restaurant nearby which we went to every evening - D'Pondok Warung. The hotel staff provided amazing support throughout all our stay. They responded promptly to my questions and requests. The villa was nice and spacious enough. The pool, though, was a bit cold for me to swim. But it really depends on the person and weather. I would like to thank Taksu Villas staff for making our stay incredible. They are so kind and helpful. Miss Indah from reception gave us a present when we were checking out. Unfortunately, we forgot it there and realised that when we were heading to our next destination. Mr Wayan, the owner, was so kind to bring it to us. I really appreciate it. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you want to stay in a peaceful area in Ubud.

United KingdomNot a thing! The hut is on its own, we didn’t even hear any neighbours.
The property is STUNNING! The most beautiful view from the bed, you can see the rice fields being worked on and it was so picturesque. Indah is absolutely fantastic, no job or request too small and she was so accommodating. You can get a massage, breakfast and can even upgrade and get a floating breakfast!

We enjoyed staying at this lovely place very much and felt at home immediately. It was a perfect escape from the hustle-bustle around Ubud: quiet, peaceful, surrounded by rice-fields, but restaurant and mini-market nearby. The staff was very friendly, welcoming, helping with everything. The accommodation provided everything we needed, even a well-stocked mini-bar and kettle, a rocking chair on the porch, not to speak of the small private pool with a view onto the rice fields. Everything was very clean, a big shower with hot water, A/C; breakfast was served on the porch. Just perfect for us.

BelgiumThe villa is not well sealed. It is made out of wood for the most part, and there are several gaps and cracks that makes it really easy for creatures in the wild to creep in. I couldn’t have a good night’s sleep without worrying about the creatures that entered my room. One night, there was a huge gecko in my ceiling right above my head. It came in through the opening in the ceiling. The staff did come help me chase the gecko away, but I could not sleep for the rest of that night. The shower handle in the bathroom was filthy the entire stay. Even after housekeeping came to “clean” the villa. The location is very far from all the attractions in Bali. Most drivers were charging extra on top of Gojek or Grab fee, just to get there. Other than these, the staff were very helpful and nice. If you do not mind sharing your villa with creatures, and you want a retreat far from the busy life, then this is the villa for you.
Nice views, private pool, efficient room service when you need something.

GermanyFrom one villa, some construction noise could be heard in the morning, from around 7:30 I think (from and area developed behind the villas), didn't bother me much but my girlfriend. Also staff took photos at our birthday party and I think when we arrived and uploaded it to social media (Instagram ) without asking. We didn't like the part, where we were not asked for permission. Staff was really kind and it was a nice stay, but those two things we didn't like but I think the team will learn from that, I'm sure. I'm told they just reopened.
The location was quite good to explore north of Ubud. Also I liked the area where we stayed, in the rice fields, ducks going around etc. We had a nice big villa and staff helped so much for my girlfriend's birthday, which was really special to her because of that, so thank you. Also staff was really kind and breakfast was delivered to our room. Also when we had some issues they were quickly resolved all the time.
