The communication prior arriving. I liked the warm welcoming at the resort! The staff showed me all the facilities and the restaurant opening hours. The decorations in my room were very nice. The kindness, courtesy, service of the staff members is what I really liked. The attention that they gave me on my birthday was so nice and special. The facilities were in good condition and the Villa was spacious enough. Regarding activities in Ubud, this resort is very convenient. The food at the restaurant was also good!

Probably the best place we stayed in while traveling across Bali. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly making our stay unforgettable. The standard is flawless and the location is far away from noisy areas. In case you visit Ubud consider The Compass Rose as your go to accommodation - you won't get disappointed. We stayed in the Pool Villa for 6 nights and everything was perfect. The staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive- every wish was fulfilled. The bed is really comfortable and the Villa and facilities were really clean. It’s a hidden gem and if you would like to stay a bit outside of Ubud- it’s perfect. Quiet location with so much greenery, super relaxing! The food was amazing too! Thank you so much to the whole team!

The location is a bit tricky but I never had an issue with taxis or guides so it is fine!

The hotel manager and the staff are unbelievably kind and accommodating. This is my second time and I will stay there again for sure. Beautiful spot for breakfast!

After hoping to work remotely from the Compass Rose, it became apparent that this would not be possible - there isn’t really enough space for 2 people to work. That’s probably on us for not doing our due diligence properly. One more thing - the location is quite out of the way down a narrow road. This makes it hard to walk to get food, go for a run, etc. This place is probably best for couples looking for a romantic escape

The staff are the greatest thing about the Compass Rose. They are truly lovely and really went above and beyond. Their kindness and generosity did not go unnoticed. Also, the pool area really is something special

The only thing I’d suggest improving is the cleanliness of the bed linens, as I noticed some small stains. Addressing this would make the experience even more flawless.

I had an incredible stay at this hotel! The staff were so kind, attentive, and welcoming, always going above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. Some highlights of my stay: - I forgot to bring an adaptor and they lent me one for the duration of my stay - Knowing I had an early Mount Batur hike, they prepared a breakfast box for me to take along—so thoughtful ! - The towels were impeccably clean with that fresh new towel smell, and the pillows were very comfy! - Breakfast was delicious, especially the eggs benedict and the food at the restaurant was just as good. - Guests received a free bag of coffee at check-out—a really lovely gesture. - Upon booking, they informed me about some ongoing construction, and I requested a room farthest from it. They accommodated my request so I could barely hear it, and it didn’t disrupt my stay. - The location is quiet and secluded but I personally liked it that way and there were no issues ordering food or transport on Grab. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for an exceptional and welcoming experience :)

We spent the best week of our lives here. We were treated like family. We Hungarians could learn a lot of kindness from them. The rooms were clean, good smelling towels! Toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, hair dryer were all there. I miss them already! I highly recommend this place if you want to be close to the jungle and in a quiet place. Suksma everything! 🤗🙏

I really enjoyed my stay here! It gave me everything I had imagine Bali would be. Walking to my room through the plants and trees. Having a beautiful flower bath on my patio that was surrounded by nature. Waking up and having a wonderful floating breakfast. It truly was a beautiful way to end my Bali trip. Oky and Kenchana made sure I had everything I needed during my stay. The other staff were so kind and helpful, always had a smile on their face. I love the different breakfast options they had. The fried rice and the banana pancakes were so good!

No lift, a lot of steps everywhere even between room and bathroom. My parents with mobility issues suffer a lot. Area: a bit difficult to access, not very clean around

The water was hot then cold on and on. Wasn’t a big problem but it was not confortable. I would also note that some of the bed linen are definitely clean but a little bit stained, maybe it’s time to renew them.

The hotel is really nice, the pool was very big and clean. I stayed in the small villa with a hot tub and it was really relaxing after a long day out. The hotel is at 10 minutes max of the center of Ubud but remote enough that you don’t have any noise from the center.

Upon arrival, the air conditioning took a little longer to cool the room, but it wasn’t a big issue. Everything else lived up to my expectations for a relaxing stay. The location is a bit off the main road with a slightly steep driveway, so be cautious when driving.

What I loved most was the warm and friendly welcome. You can really feel the attention to detail in how they treat their guests. All the information provided was clear, and the place truly embodies a tropical atmosphere. The walk to the room was peaceful, and there was a warm pool that was incredibly relaxing. Unfortunately, we spent quite a bit of time outside, so we didn’t get to use the facilities as much. However, I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great spot to relax or for a honeymoon, especially if you want privacy and an escape from the outside world. We genuinely loved it here. Oh, I almost forgot! Before heading back home, the staff gave us a small gift – Bali coffee, which is absolutely delicious. It was another memorable touch from our stay.

The hospitality was amazing. Everyone we met that works there was so kind and helpful even on matters that are not about the hotel but the transportation. The room was even better than the pictures and very clean. The food is good. Everything was so nice and we are very happy that we chose this horel for our honeymoon. Lovely experience.

We would give six stars if we could!! Our stay at the Compass Rose, Ubud was exceptional and by far exceeded our expectations! From the moment we arrived the staff were so welcoming and accommodating. We stayed in the King Suite with the outdoor hot tub which was incredible and serene in the jungle. The hotel in general and our room was spotlessly clean, we cannot fault our stay. The highlight of our stay was the amazing service the staff gave us, some of the best service we’ve ever received and by far the best we’ve had in Bali. In particular, the hotel manager and Julie were amazing and went above and beyond! We will be recommending this hotel to our friends and will definitely return if we come back to Ubud :) Thank you, Adam and Charlotte.
